He's 37 years old and has the body of a 60 year old just through the constant wear and tear that a 13 year+ wrestling career will do to a guy with no steroids to repair the damage. There's just no way physically he can hang at the top level. Not even Shamrock, who had a shorter career and won MMA tournaments before going with wrestling could make it back on the top level. Lesnar is always the exception but that's because he's a human cheat code who missed his real calling of being the biggest Nazi in a group of Nazis in an Indiana Jones movie.

To me, this was solely CM Punk being equal parts selfish and equal parts 'Fuck the old bosses who didn't put me on top.' If he was serious about MMA, he WOULD of started at the lower levels. He'd still be fulfilling his dream. Likewise he'd still make big bucks in the end, even if he just pursued.

Unless his trainers were typical yes-men (which I'd find brilliant since it's Punk), there was absolutely no way he knew he'd be ready for this fight. This was a simple cash in, using a name he'd built up mostly (not completely disregarding his work in the indies) in a company he now derides and insults. He deserved the boo at the winner-announcement, and quite frankly him saying his MMA career isn't over is a insult.

Yeah too you, not so much to anyone else, if what half of Punks words on WWE's treatment of him are true he has more gripes then 'not being put on top' so the fact that that's your equal parts is pretty freaking insulting dude. Its like Kerf said hes beat up Dana was willing to swoop him up, most people (Yes even people serious about their careers) are going to say yes.
