SS 16 Dark Match: Katori Kimura Vs. Ayaka Kurata

Ayaka knew now that this match wasn't going to end well for her. She knew that the skill gap between them was massive. Sure Ayaka was more than likely tougher than Katori, she had far more experience on this ring, and she had training Ayaka could only dream of. As Katori approached her, Ayaka tightened her guard, the crowd was off-putting but she should be used to that. When Katori launched her attack, it was on point. Ayaka knew what to do, raising her arms to catch the fist just before impact, letting Katori think that she had scored the hit and then pulling the rug from under her feet. Though it was Ayaka who was in for the shock as in one swoop the fist never made it into the trap, and instead a fist shot to the side and hammered her in the side of the face, her face snapping to the side from the pressure of the punch, a groan escaping her lips.

The pain from the punch had dazed Ayaka and set up her nicely for Katoris little move. The spin was fast and the feet connecting caused her immense pain, a scream almost erupting from her lips as the womans feet dug into her breasts, crushing them against her ribcage as she began to fall back.While most would have expected Ayaka to fall down, she simply staggered backwards. Ayaka was tough. She was going to survive that. But she could help but raise her guard defensively, the stunning effect from the punch had yet to wear off.

Right after landing the back kick on her opponent the Mighty Successor lands perfectly on her feet. Katori turns around slightly to see Ayaka still on her feet, looking at her in the eye with her determined expression still on her face. "So saying I act high and mighty doesn't mean anything, cause I don't." Katori says as a quick follow-up to what she said before she did her kick.

Getting a good look at Ayaka, while she remained on her feet and has her guard up, she appears to look a little bit stunned. If Katori can get a good grab on the violet she might just be able to keep her momentum up and press on. With that in mind and determined, Katori quickly moves up to the woman. "Someone with an ego would NEVER fight for the fans, they only fight for themselves." She continues to say as she moves, since she is still feeling determined and hardened after what Ayaka said to her, even if it was only to press some buttons. Once she got close enough Katori will throw her arms at Ayaka to grapple with her, pushing against her to try and make her opponent struggle and drop her guard.

If the angel was able to, she'll attempt to wrap her left arm around Ayaka's head and force it under her arm then tightens her headlock. With all she's got Katori will then proceed to lift up Ayaka up high and hold her body upside down vertically, which can immediately tell everyone what' next. "And I always give it all my blood and sweat to make sure the crowds here in the arenas and the folks at home get a good and entertaining show to watch." She finally finishes, as Katori leads back and falls down to slam Ayaka on her back with the Vertical Suplex.

God this girl liked to go on and on. Her attacks had already perfectly made her point, but yet again it seemed that Katori was determined to keep talking. Maybe it was the fact she was only concerned with giving people a 'good' match that rubbed Ayaka the wrong way? Ayka had always firmly believed that the aim of a fight was to win, to make sure you won no matter the cost. It didn't matter if the match was short, long or not even entertaining to watch; it was the result that counted. Katori had a completely different outlook on it, and for some reason it seemed to get under Ayaka's skin.

Watching Katori advance, Ayaka held her ground, guard raised high enough that she could sill see Katori approaching but made sure she was more than prepared for any fists or kicks she was about to throw. But in typical Katori fashion, she ended up surprising Ayaka with an attack she wasn't expecting; a grab. Feeling Katori's hands wrap around her arms was trouble. From a pure physics point of view it was harder for Ayaka to maintain her guard now and Katori would have to use less of her strength to force it to drop. SO it was inevitable that seconds later her guard dropped. Though this was in part because Ayaka willed it, she didn't want to waste energy fighting back. It seemed though that Katori had plans, pulling her down into a headlock. Ayaka knew that from here there were plenty of possibilities that could happen. But it seemed that Katori had gone for the special show off kind of move, lifting Ayaka to be above her.

Ayaka knew at this point she was doomed, no matter what she did she was going to get hurt, even if she broke free at this point it was a long fall down. All she could do was make it as painful as possible for Katori too. That was why, when Katori finished her little speech, Ayaka lifted her free arm and tried to claw at her face. She knew that most people would boo the clawing, see it as cheating, or a dirty move. But as far as Ayaka was concerned it was all fair game if it helped her win or get revenge. Plus she was a heel, what were people expecting?

The fans were going wild from the speech the Mighty Successor has said as it made them love her more to see how far she goes for herself and them. By now, the arena was almost completely filled up by now with nearly every seat taken. And they were just on the edge of their seats with anticipation when Katori held up Ayaka high up upside down about to slam her down with the Vertical Suplex.

And just as the bluenette started to fall back to do it, an unexpected thing happened. "Wha-Aaahh!!" Ayaka had brought a hand up to scratch and claw Katori in the face while she was falling back, and she let out a pain filled shout in response while she dropped back and slammed her opponent down, not releasing her grip at all.

As one would guess, the crowd started to boo at the violet for the dirty trick while both girls laid on their backs with Katori clutching at her face with one hand. While she did manage to slam Ayaka down properly though this would slow her down a bit as her focus was now on the pain in her face. So now Katori will start to push herself up at a steady pace, with her back towards her opponent.

Ayaka was able to claw at Katori, Though it didn't get her very far, Katori was able to still execute the suplex. The suplex slammed her into the canvas, causing her to groan from both the force of the impact and the force of Katori's own body slamming onto her. While Katori was rather quick to move away, Ayaka took longer, he back was now throbbing and she concerned as to whether or not she could carry this on for much longer. Katori has spent most the match so far proving her dominance and right now, Ayaka didn't exactly have much to show for her participation in the match.

This was Sumer Splash, It was supposed to be her time to shine, and here Katori was making her look like a weak idiot. Slowly clambering onto her knees, Ayaka looked over at Katori, she too was getting up. It was possibly the last chance she would have to try and take the advantage of Katori before she started ramping up the pressure. Pushing up onto her feet, Ayaka would dive at Katori, trying to drive her elbow into the back of her neck, though in typical Ayaka fashion the move was risky, as Katori could easily dodge it and Ayaka would be back on the canvas.

After a slow climb Katori was able to push herself back onto her feet, but she was still focused on the scratch on her face that left sharp red marks across her face but didn't cut the skin. The pain stung and it wasn't easy to shake off at all while Katori rubs and soothes her face til subsided enough for her to continue on with the match and win.

Little did she know though, despite all she had done with Ayaka managed to push herself up and was dead set on Katori. The crowd can see this and were actually shouting to try and warn the angel of the incoming violent violet train that she was coming to help her get out of the way and counter.

However, Katori's back was turned to her opponent and she couldn't hear the crowd, and so wasn't able to see Ayaka coming. And right when the pain finally went away a bit.... SMACK!! "Aaaaahhhh...!!" Katori's eyes shot wide open and let out a sharp yell when that elbow hit the back of her neck. It hurt so much it made the girl drop back down onto one knee while she clutched at the back of her neck with a hand while her eyes were still wide and her mouth was gaping open in shock.

For Ayaka now, keeping up the offensive momentum was critical. Katori seemed adept at turning the table quickly, and if that happened again Katori would remain dominant in the entire match. While the fans clearly wanted to see that, this match was far too important to Ayaka to let the fans dictate what was going to happen. Many fans would comment that Ayaka was being evil, going for the back of the neck was a dangerous area, but it was what she had to do to survive. It did the trick perfectly and before everyone knew it she was back on the ground... well sort of on the ground. Katori refused to go down. Typical. Fine, Ayaka would make her pay. With one fell swoop, Ayaka would get behind her and wrap her arm around the former wrestle angels neck, getting her into a headlock. As she secured her lock on the woman's neck, Ayaka nastily jerked backwards, dragging Katori slowly to her feet as she went backwards, trying to put more pressure on the neck by doing so. It was a great move to watch Katori suffer, but to pull her back to her feet properly, Ayaka had to go pretty far back, and now had her back only a step away from those. But that was ok, Ayaka was in control, and Katori was facing away from them, nothing bad could happen.

The pain that Katori felt and is suffering from after being struck at the back of the neck was nearly overwhelming. Never in her career in wrestling had she ever been hit there. It was extremely dangerous as hits like that have a good chance of damaging the spinal cord and potentially paralyze or even kill someone. And so Katori was lucky to even be moving at all, thankfully it didn't feel as if anything broke or fractured but it would best to get that checked out after this match was over with.

By now the angel was at least was able to control her mouth and eyes again and closed them to stop looking like a gaping idiot as saliva ran down her chin. She took slow deep breaths while trying to regain her composure and dealing with the pain. As much as it left Katori open to attack and what Ayaka was about to do, she NEEDED to do this to help her out.

That was when Ayaka came and snaked her arms around the Successor's neck quickly. "A-ack...!" She let out a grunt as she was locked in a Sleeperhold and before Katori can even bring her arms up pry at her opponent's arms, she was harshly pulled back and pulled up to her feet. It almost felt like a noose was around her neck, Katori was fully brought back up and trapped in Ayaka's arms. She managed to bring her arms up to latch onto the violet's arm to try and pry it off. In her stunned state, this was all she can do at the moment without wasting too much stamina.

For Ayaka right now, it was do or die. With Katori punishing her rather early in the match, she needed to work on trying to  make up lost ground before Katori recovered and bought her A game back. After all, trying to defeat a Wrestle Angel was tough. Even as Ayaka yanked her up, Katori started pulling and tugging, making it a living hell to try and hold onto her. The crowd seemed to be on Katori's side, even more so since Ayaka revealed her brutal side.

"I am going to make you wish you never got into this ring with me!" Ayaka tried tugging on her neck again, but keeping the hold was getting harder and harder. After another second the hold was broken, as Katori proved that even in a a stunned state she could still dominate over Ayaka. Growling, Ayaka took another step back, trying to make sure that Katori couldn't get the upper hand. The crowd gave a cheer after the hold was broken It wasn't down to Katori pulling free, but more so that her clawing has made it too uncomfortable for Ayaka to keep on holding. "Just because you were a once semi-famous wrestler doesn't mean you can't get stale!" With that said, Ayaka charged at Katori, lowering her shoulder and trying to ram her right shoulder right into Katori's chest if she could. Though because of the short distance between them the speed and force wouldn't be overly devastating if Katori didn't manage to avoid it.

It was a hellish experience to go through and Katori had to endure it every second until it was over. Having been put into what the angel would like to call the "Noose Lock" was something she wished never happened. At least never happen after being hit in the back of her neck at the edge of her skull. Katori was still hurt from that hit and since she wasn't moving while her breathing was cut off from her she didn't lose much stamina.

The lock around her neck was getting too much, as her toes that were barely touching the ground were desperately trying to get some kind of footing to help prevent Katori from being completely lifted off her feet. But pretty soon, surprisingly, Katori was just willingly released by Ayaka from her lock. She drops down onto her knees with a hand to her throat as she takes deep breaths while coughing a bit. The audience roared with cheers, thinking that the Mighty Successor broke free by herself, even though she personally knows that isn't the case at all.

At this point Katori was able to recover enough to move properly again, albeit slowly. But she was able to push herself back up onto her feet with effort, despite having to put up with Ayaka's taunting which honestly meant nothing at all. The Successor turns to face her violent opponent, to see her charging at her and rammed into her.

"Oof...!" Considering not much force was put in the shoulder tackle, Katori remained on her feet but was still pushed back a bit from her opponent and quickly tried to regain her balance. If the angel was gonna turn this around, she has to keep her cool and try to counter whatever Ayaka has in mind for her.
