Because of Who?

Mercy sighed as Angel all but pleaded with her not to go to the party. "I'm not going because I want to..." Mercy said. "I mean... It's going to be soooo awkward and, yeah... I'm sure his whole pack of skanks will be there too." Mercy added with a bit of distaste in her mouth.

"If you want to skip the party, you can. It's pretty selfish of me to try and get you to come..." Mercy said, trying not to force an awkward situation on Angel. "And we can enjoy the rest of the weekend." Mercy smiled. "But... I still got to go..." Mercy frowned. "I've got to be a big girl about this, ya know?"

Angel flopped back onto her back with a loud, dramatic sigh, shaking her head even though Mercy couldn't see her. "I'm not skipping it, chica, not if you're going. I said I'd go, so I'm going. Someone's got to keep you out of trouble, after all."

She squirmed a little more against her mattress, then rolled back onto her side again. "But you're making it up to me, chica. You'd better plan a damn good weekend for us to wash the taste of the party out of my mouth!"

Mercy cringed at Angel's sigh but beamed when she said she would go. "Mmmmmmwah!" Mercy kissed the phone and giggled. "I'll make it up to you, I promise." Mercy purred. "I'll give you plenty for your mouth to taste too, hehe." Mercy giggled. She then hopped up. "I should go. I have to go plan the best weekend ever." Minus the party. She didn't think about that though.

"I'll call you later, ok?" Mercy said and then said her good byes.

"Later then, chica," Angel answered. "Can't wait for our weekend."

She reached up and removed her earpiece, flipping it off as she reached for her phone and hung it up, too. Then, the Latina rolled onto her pillow and closed her eyes, snuggling into her blanket as she let out a soft yawn. It was starting to get a little late, and she wanted to get some sleep. She just hoped she could keep down her excitement about the upcoming trip!
