Suzumi had done all she could to maintain control, and she knew full well she had done a number on Vida in a fairly short amount of time. However, she had grown overconfident. The price she paid was a sudden, unexpected fall straight down on her face! "Ungh.... Ow!" Suzumi shouted as she grabbed her face in her hands. After her last match, Risako had hammered Suzumi's face into the mat like a spoiled sore loser. The fall forward onto her nose did effectively stun her and leave her wide open to follow up by Vida!

While Suzumi had controlled things thus far, she knew that Vida's offensive capability was a question mark. She was about to find out first hand what the young rookie was capable of...

Vida shook her head, as she got back up to a knee. She'd managed to take the Tsunami down to the mat, finally. A bit surprising, considering the Japanese woman's dominant run through this match, thus far. Still, she had an advantage, for the moment, and she knew she'd have to take it if she wanted to keep it rolling.

Releasing one of Suzumi's boots, Vida wrapped both hands firmly around the Japanese's woman's left ankle. Then, she turned and stepped over the prone Tsunami, pulled up on the leg and began twisting her into a single-leg boston crab. The latina rookie's own aching spine kept her from really locking the hold in deep, but hopefully the exchange of submission holds would wear the veteran down a bit, and send a message that Vida wasn't going to just lie down and take her beating!

Suzumi let out a shout as Vida locked in the Boston crab! Suzumi squirmed around as the hold was secure on her, and her leg was feeling the effects before long! Suzumi tried her best to worm her way over onto her side, looking up at the rookie. "Ngh....n-nice try kid!" She said, doing her best to free her other leg and send a mule kick straight at Vida's chest!

As confident as Suzumi was, she did her best to hide the pain inflicted by the Boston Crab on her leg. If Suzumi was able to free herself, she would stumble up and rub her effected leg trying to ease some of the pain.

Vida squirmed and struggled, as she straddled Suzumi and tried to keep her under control. Keeping the leg tucked as well as she could, Vida was nonetheless getting bucked around in exactly the way one might expect the slip of a young woman to.

As Suzumi rolled herself back, Vida tried to adjust her grip, keep her under control. Tried, and failed. She leaned forward, tried to get Suzumi back under control, only to catch a stiff mule kick square to the center of her pert chest!

"NNGN!" Vida grunted, as Suzumi's blow knocked her rolling back. The rookie let go of Suzumi's leg in an instant, giving up that control to try and keep some over her own body. Rolling with the momentum, Vida tried to get back up onto her boots. Ducking low, the latina youth raised her arms, hoping to be ready in case Suzumi wanted to try taking control from her, again.

Suzumi needed some quick offense, and had an idea. It was a bit of a gamble but not the worst idea she ever had inside a ring. Vida was fast, but Suzumi wasn't sure how good of a striker she was. Suzumi wanted to give her leg a bit of time to heal, but didn't want to give Vida a break. With that in mind Suzumi moved in and swung a hard forearm smash to Vida's chest! If that hit, Suzumi would follow up with a second forearm smash from her other arm, this time to Vida's face!

To cap the small flurry of strikes off, Suzumi would step back and jump up, looking to land a high dropkick to the rookie's upper chest!

Vida went after her opponent somewhat recklessly. But where the rookie had been expecting a lock-up, instead she caught some stiff forearm strikes. The first blow, hard to her chest, left her reeling. Vida fell back a step, both arms wrapped protectively over her pert, tenderized chest. The second blow came in hard across her face, sending a faint bit of spit and tears flying as Vida's head was rocked by the blow.

Vida stumbled backward, the Tsunami's striking game having rocked heavily, retreating toward the ropes. Vida's escape plan wouldn't work, however. When the Tsunami left the mat, boots in the air, Vida was stunned at first by the distance the taller woman's body was able to cover with the dropkick. Then, by the actual impact of the dropkick itself. Vida caught both boots full in the chest, knocking the wind out of her lungs and making her tumble backwards.

Vida's stumbling retreat took her to the corner post, leaving her panting and gasping for air as she hung from it. Her arms draped over the top ropes, the latina rookie stared at the mat in wide-eyed shock. The veteran was really taking it to her, now, and Vida knew she was going to need to get her head back in the game if she didn't want to end up completely outpaced by the veteran!

Suzumi had managed to knock Vida back down to the mat and knew she had to capitalize. She sat by Vida, quickly wrapping her legs around Vida's head to put the rookie in a leg scissor choke hole! Suzumi playfully smacked her own backside and held an arm high, rocking her hips a bit with Vida in her thigh's grasp! "Uh oh girl, ya might be in some trouble here!" Suzumi taunted as she put the squeeze on Vida!

The arena was spinning around Vida, after that dropkick. The Tsunami was striking her down with quick and powerful precision, leaving the youthful rookie reeling. Before she knew it, unfortunately, Suzumi had Vida trapped again, this time in a punishing leg scissor!

"Nnooo~!" Vida whimpered, realizing what was happening but not being able to do anything about it. She squirmed and bucked and writhed in Suzumi's grasp, kicking out, but not being able to pry herself free. Suzumi's powerful legs closed down around Vida's head, making her face redden. She wanted out desperately, but it was too late to try and get the leverage to escape. Kicking behind her, Vida hoped that at least she could hook her boot over the bottom rope, force a break. And she prayed that she would do it soon, before Suzumi managed to completely choke the life out of her!

Suzumi squeezed down on Vida as hard as she could, playing to the crowd doing a mock flex, then putting both hands behind her head as if she were taking it easy. "Come on Vida girl.... you have to do better than that in Friction!" Suzumi called out before she heard the referee calling for the rope. Suzumi let go of Vida and backed away, holding her hands to her side and doing a quick walk around the ring, taking in cheers and allowing Vida to get back to her feet.

Suzumi did keep her eyes on Vida as she did her strut, but did allow Vida to get back up to her feet. "Show me what ya got Vida, I know you can do better than just flopping around on the ground."

The crowd gave a laugh, watching Suzumi flex and pose playfully in the ring. Those laughs burned in Vida's ears, as she struggled against the Tsunami's leg lock. The realization that she'd finally caught the rope with her boot was small consolation. Once released, Vida slapped the mat with both palms. Frustration sending chills through her body, she knew that Suzumi was right. She had been wrestling circles around the rookie, and Vida knew she only had herself to blame for it. She had to do better!

Pushing herself up to a knee, then up to a vertical base, the youthful latina brushed her hair out of her face and looked her opponent over. Suzumi was a big girl, and no slouch, in the technical wrestling department. Vida needed a plan, and she needed it now. Backing against the ropes again, Vida sank in, built tension. She then launched herself off of them in a bit of a run, reached out and tried to hook Suzumi quickly around the waist, for a side waistlock takedown to bring the green-haired woman down to the mat. Vida hoped she could neutralize Suzumi's size advantage with some mat-based grappling, or at least keep herself from having to eat another of those deadly strikes!
