The Wildest Dream: Ace vs Angel

As Angel laid there at Jessica's feet, looking across the ring towards Styx and Abbatoir and Ace, she felt her heart drop down to her stomach. She wanted to help Ace, she wanted to get over there and save her, but there was no way she would make it in time, not with as hurt as she was, and not with Jessica still looming over her.

When Ace was finally lifted up and driven back down in the mat, Angel couldn't do anything but stare in horror. This night had gone downhill fast, and there was nothing she could do about it. She had never felt this powerless before, and on the inside she was cursing herself and Styx's gang, already planning payback for this attack.

Then, Jessica's bat came swinging towards her again, crashing into the base of her spine, even harder than the first time. Angel's body bucked upwards, the Latina letting out one more scream, before collapsing back onto the mat, her head buried in her arms. Tears of pain were welling up in her eyes, and surging agony was racing through her back, the former champion unmoving, aside from a slight shiver of her body every few seconds. She was done. She wanted nothing more than to get back up and ruin Styx and Jessica and Abbatoir, but she couldn't. She was hurting far too much for that.

Abattoir had shoved Ace off to be goozled, and now the other girl was sprawled on the mat, chokebombed into oblivion.

She stepped back and draped the chain around her neck, watching the unconscious Ace twitch in pain as Styx stood over her. Her eyes were inscrutably blank over her mask - in fact, she seemed even more serene than usual, although the particularly perceptive viewer might catch a glimpse of her thumb rubbing anxious circles around a link of the chain. It was the only 'tell', so to speak, the only indicator of the turmoil lurking under the surface.

At last, she moved to one side, deferentially clearing the way for Styx to exit the ring.

"So what happens now?"

Styx sat there with Ace between her legs, just enjoying the scene. Letting it all wash over her. Three years of being in this place, and for the first time ever, she finally felt like things were swinging in her direction. And they’d only get better

She flipped Ace over, gave her a quick pat on the butt to add insult to grevious injury, then stood up and cracked her neck, looking back to Angel as she did so. Or what was left of Angel after Jessica mauled her.

Styx nodded to her collegue, admiring her work, then walked past Abattoir and started to go through the ropes. That was enough for one day.

On her way out, though, she paused for a second to answer the nak muay’s question, in the simplest way possible.

”Anything.”

Jessica didn't want to overstay her welcome, not one bit. Seeing that Angel was not in much of a position to hurt any of them and that the bloody business of the day had come to its natural and rightful conclusion. She followed River to ringside and bounded over the ring. She cast one long look back in the ring. This was a cast of characters she knew she would see again and again and her brow furrowed. What would the future hold? The thought quickly dissipated. Wherever she went, whatever happened, she knew she would be ready. She had muscles like cannonballs and two comrades by her side. With that, Jessica felt she could accomplish anything. Even get the belt.

The Violent Violet looked at River and nodded. There was nothing her words could say that her bat had not. She was lucky in that she did not even get blood on the bat. It was over her shoulder now. The folks in the crowd were still gawping at the audacity of the attack but Jessica as always was above it.

Her eyes were forward now. Everything was ahead of her.
