Re: Julia Rogers vs. Valley Doll - Light Up the Sky
Valley heard Julia’s unspoken message loud and clear as she was pushed off before she could even get a two-count. A little psychological fencing? She could respect that. Though it only made her want to pin Julia even more. After all, energy spent on kicking out of pinfalls was energy that couldn’t be spent doing dropkicks or hurricanranas or any of the other crazy things Julia might try. Valley saw it working to her favor.
The Slamazon grabbed Julia’s wrist and stood up, hauling her opponent back to her feet. While she did that, she answered the nonverbal message with a verbal response and a wink on top. ”Plenty more where that came from.”
The exact second the last syllable left her mouth, Valley hopped back, tugged on Julia’s arm, and sent her running hard towards the nearest turnbuckle, putting as much force into the Irish Whip as her body could muster.

Re: Julia Rogers vs. Valley Doll - Light Up the Sky
Julia was quickly back on her feet, though not through her own efforts. The blonde was still catching her breath, clearly showing the risk behind her early kickout. And because of how quick her foe was getting right back to work, it was fairly clear Valley understood her immediate advantage perfectly well.
The cowgirl was sent rocketing toward the near corner, and only just turned at the last second to send her back crashing into the turnbuckles rather than her front. But with the amount of force the Slamazon had put into that throw, the impact was still explosive and rough. “Agh!” Julia shouted out with a grimace as her body bounced forward for a moment, only to slump back against the corner with her arms draping themselves over the ropes.

Re: Julia Rogers vs. Valley Doll - Light Up the Sky
Valley wasn’t wasting anytime with Julia - she ran off in the opposite direction the second she released the younger wrestler, already creating as much space between them as possible. The more room women like them had to maneuver, the deadlier they became, and Valley currently had the market cornered on in-ring real estate.
She turned to hit the turnbuckle with her back at almost the same time as Julia did on the other side of the ring, though she was obviously the one in better shape from it. Valley now had about twenty feet of room to gather up momentum with, and a waiting target in her sights.
Perfect.
Valley broke into a full sprint and charged across the ring. No hesitation. No fear. No caution. She threw it all away and dedicated herself to the move, turning into a pink and white blur as the distance was rapidly closed. She waited until the exact last moment and then she jumped up, tucked her legs in, and aimed both of her white hearts at Julia’s chest, coming at her with the double knees and turning her body into a living cannonball.

Re: Julia Rogers vs. Valley Doll - Light Up the Sky
After her rough crash landing into the turnbuckles, the masked blonde looked up to see Valley already positioned in the corner opposite her, poised to strike. Sure enough, the Slamazon was soon making a rapid dash and coming right at Julia!
With a window of about a second to react, the cowgirl knew she had to jump right through it if she didn’t want to be demolished by the oncoming human projectile. Tightening her grip on the rope to her right, she grunted out while suddenly jerking herself to the side, jolting her body out of the corner right as Valley leapt toward her and leaving her foe nothing but the turnbuckles to fly into!

Re: Julia Rogers vs. Valley Doll - Light Up the Sky
Risk, risk, risk. That was what it all came down to.
Valley Doll took the risk when she hoped that Julia wouldn't have enough time to jump out of the way when she came barreling across the ring. Julia took the risk in assuming she'd be able to dodge Valley’s attack - too soon and the Slamazon would slam on the breaks and recover easily, too late and she’d be clobbered, anyway.
They both gambled, but in the end, it only paid off for one of them: Julia. This time.
”No-”
Valley hit the turnbuckle with both knees and bounced off, falling flat on her back a split second later. She rolled backwards and popped to her feet, recovering as best she could, but it wasn't a real improvement. She was a bit dizzy and dazed, not at all sure where her opponent was at the moment, vulnerable as all get-out…

Re: Julia Rogers vs. Valley Doll - Light Up the Sky
Julia had dodged a bullet. Having Valley’s knees crash into her torso, especially at that speed, no doubt would’ve left the cowgirl heavily winded and vulnerable. But as it was, the opportunity was now there to turn the tables.
While Valley was rolling back to try to recover from her missed attack, Julia took a running step before hopping up onto the middle rope. A couple quick rotating steps led her in a brief tight-rope walk to put herself in better position in front of the Slamazon, before Julia flew forward and threw her boots out, aiming to send them crashing into Valley’s chest with a dropkick!

Re: Julia Rogers vs. Valley Doll - Light Up the Sky
Well, that could have gone better. Expontentially better.
Valley stood up as quick as her wobbly legs would allow and looked to the side, expecting Julia to still be in the corner.
She wasn’t. Not even close. In fact, Valley only found Julia after she swung her head forward and looked straight ahead - even then, she was only looking at the cowgirl’s knees. Right before she sprung off the middle rope and came barreling towards her.
”Crud.”
Valley barely had enough time to say that single syllable word. This time, there was no dodging the dropkick or countering it with one of her own. Julia’s boot hit Valley’s chest, square on the heart-shaped cutoff, and there was nothing to dilute the impact. She took it, full force, and the blow knocked the Slamazon cleaned off her feet, leaving her sprawled out in the center of the ring. Her arms and legs flopped to the side as she stared up at the lights, hissing at the stinging pain. She was so used to dealing out dropkicks, she’d almost forgotten how painful it was to be on the receiving end.

Re: Julia Rogers vs. Valley Doll - Light Up the Sky
Julia’s boots smashed into Valley and dropped her right down to the mat, and a fresh wave of awe-filled cheers rang out from the crowd in response to the cowgirl’s acrobatic display. The masked blonde took one big, refreshing breath, but quickly picked herself back up. Valley was down, but Julia knew full well a dropkick was just a small step in the right direction. For now the best thing she could do was keep the other flier grounded, much like Valley had done to her moments ago.
The luchadora threw a hand up and called out, “Here we go, people!” to rally in some more crowd support as she moved closer to Valley. She intended to wait until her foe started to sit up before throwing a swift roundhouse kick right at the other blonde’s face! Whether that landed or not was practically irrelevant. The goal was to get Valley on her back again, either through kicking her down or making her quickly lay back to avoid the leg. If either happened, Julia would follow through with the motion to position her standing with her back to Valley, before leaping up and flipping backward! But it wasn’t just an ordinary standing moonsault Julia would be going for here. No, instead she’d tuck her legs in mid-flip and attempt to descend onto Valley’s toned midsection with a double knee drop!

Re: Julia Rogers vs. Valley Doll - Light Up the Sky
There was a secret to winning this match, Valley was figuring out. She and Julia were similar - so similar in fact, that she could reasonably guess what the luscious luchadora was about to do next, with a reasonable degree of accuracy. She just had to work with that and counter it.
For instance, Valley was laying on her back and Julia hadn’t pancaked her with a moonsault or a shooting star press or anything like that. She wasn’t winded enough for her to be trying any top rope moves, and Julia had to know that. Which meant that she was probably preparing to hit Valley with something the moment she sat up.
That ‘something’ turned out to be a roundhouse kick, one that would’ve knocked Valley’s head off it connected. But it didn’t. The Slamazon fell flat on her back, letting it whiz overhead, and she reached out a split second later to pull Julia down for a schoolboy pin while her back was turned…
...only for her to, instead, grab nothing but air. Because Julia wasn’t where Valley expected her to be. Oh, no. Her fellow battling blonde was up, flipping through the air, and coming down on her, instead. Knees first.
Valley let out a soundless shriek as the air was driven from her chest and pain replaced it. She pushed Julia off on reflex and turned over to her back, curling up and groaning with pure agony.
That. Sucked.

Re: Julia Rogers vs. Valley Doll - Light Up the Sky
The crowd grimaced at the sight of Julia descending knees first right onto Valley’s midsection! The cowgirl would’ve stayed in place for a pin attempt, but was shoved off of the Slamazon before that could happen. Her foe had bought herself a tiny bit of distance and just enough time to get a quick breath in, but Julia had no intention of giving her more than that.
With Valley all curled up, the luchadora quickly moved behind her and pushed both shins on the girl’s back to hold her in place. One hand would then moved to cross one of Valley’s boots over the other while her other hand went to her neck. If she could get in position, Julia would then roll backward to elevate and bend the rival high flyer over her bent shins and knees in a good ol’ bow and arrow hold!
