Eliza Harenwood (W/Clyde) Vs Shido - Fanning the flames

Shido tried the last ting he could think of. Playing dead sometimes worked on newbies, sometimes even on veteran wrestlers that were being careless or just distracted. He had actually successfully pulled this strategy off in previous matches. Sometimes even turning things around and earning a come from behind win!

Too bad for Shido that it wasn't going to keep him in this particular match. No, Eliza was ring savvy enough and humble enough not to release the hold and boast as soon as her opponent seemed to be out. No, she knew to keep her opponents still, with her scissor hold locked in! And with that, the ref moved in to check on Shido. Though, he was barely conscious, he knew that it would be over as soon as it was known that he was still awake.

The ref would raise his arm once, and let it fall. A second time would yield the same result. As she raised his arm for the third and final time, Shido would keep it raised, indicating that he wasn't quite out yet. He had no other choice. The match would have ended immediately if he hadn't. And even keeping his arm up was a difficult task, as Eliza never let up or eased back on the pressure for even a moment. It was a good run and he gave it his all, but by this point, even Shido was sure of his loss. Yet he still chose to go down fighting, and refused to tap when the referee told him to.

Eliza was waiting to see what would happen, regardless she was confident that victory would be hers. After all, once the dancing passion locked in her opponent it wasn't very easy to escape. And that was how she wished it to be, it seemed that Shido was unable to carry on his battle. Ms Harenwood smiled as the hand had fallen, once. Then twice, only thrice and then victory would be hers.

Only it seemed as a last act of defiance Shido's hand didn't fall, perhaps the ref's handling of it had stirred the opponent from the brink. Regardless the ring official declared that the match was still on going, Eliza frowned. It was futile to have done so, after all with the battering Shido had taken there was no feasible chance of him escaping the dancing passion's headscissors.

Still though Eliza would simply carry on as before, keeping her grip around his neck as tight as the hangman's noose. If Shido wouldn't stop till he could no longer move it was fine by Eliza, perhaps it made for a more noble end as well. Though it mattered little now, Ms Harenwood had her prize. And would simply wait patiently for it to come like the morning ship.

Shido did the best he could against the momentum and morale against him. Perhaps on a different night or under different circumstances, he would have fared better. But as of now, it was time to for him to accept defeat. His will served him well to let him last this long. Soon the pain from the vicegrip-like scissors that Eliza kept in place over his neck would begin to subside. And he slipped away into unconsciousness. He laid there, completely motionless until the dancing passion was ready to release him. Eyes shut and face red as the pressure had begun to overwhelm his body.

Surely there were those that respected the effort he gave out there in the arena, tonight - fans and competitors alike that he may have actually gained favor with. But the vast majority cheered and celebrated Eliza's victory as the bell rung and the match was called in Eliza's favor.

A victory via knockout.

DING DING DING!!!!!

The bell had sounded, it was now clear that Shido was no longer able to continue. A smirk appeared on Eliza's lips, it was another victory for the young woman. Another piece of proof that the dancing passion had vastly improved from when she first started, after the bell sounded Eliza had let go of her opponent. There was no further reason to carry on choking the man out now that the win was hers, Eliza was no sadist and simply applied the pain to ensure she triumphed.

After having her hand raised by the ref Eliza would briskly make her way to her corner, whereupon she picked up her entrance attire and other items and donned them once again. It seemed that Shido had decided to simply let himself get choked out rather than admit defeat, admirable perhaps in the mind of the dancing passion. Of course there was a fine line between defiant and stupid, but Eliza didn't think much on it now that the battle was over.

Shido had proven to be a rather tricky target to catch, but in Ms Harenwood's view he had relied too much on trying to dodge and tire her. With Eliza's skilled and dogged offence it was only a matter of time before she had struck the final blow in this encounter, perhaps less reactive and more active fighting would have given him a better chance. Nevertheless Eliza won tonight.

The British woman would smile at Clyde, having him at ringside was certainly a factor that helped Eliza. At least for the sake of solidarity, the ref girl would proceed to check on Shido. No doubt rousing him with a special smelling salt or something along those lines, the dancing passion would move back to him. Standing gracefully above her fallen opponent and stating "You fought well Mr Shido, I trust you'll be fine leaving on your own power correct?"

Shido soon woke up as the ref and other officials tended to him. He had woken of his own accord and was advised to visit the medical staff in the back. Rubbing his neck and trying to sit up, albeit slowly, he'd hear Eliza's words and realize again where he was and what the outcome of the match was. The fans cheered wildly and Harenwood stood over him, triumphantly.

He wasn't upset or annoyed. Sure he didn't win, but he did do his best. Eliza came out on top this time and she certainly fought to earn that victory. He'd smile, accepting things as they'd turned out and resolve to train harder for another opponent of her caliber. Maybe even a rematch, someday. After a brief pause, he'd answer her. "Yeah, I'll be ok. Thank you very much - for the match and for your concern. I fought well but you fought better. You were really awesome! I hope to meet you in the ring again, someday." He said with a smile as he sat there, looking up at her.

Seeing Shido go limp! Clyde heard the bell rang and Eliza was declared the winner by Knockout!

"YEAH, ELIZA!!" Clyde cheered, raising his arms in the air, grinning ear to ear as she smiled at him. The cowboy blushed a bit bashfully as Eliza clearly didn't forget him during her moment of victory, he could tell she was thankful of him just by the way she looked at him and it was very flattering.

Without anymore delay, Clyde climbed in the ring and chased down, Eliza, hugging her tight and giving her a big swing around before setting her down.

Eliza was pleased to see that her career path was looking very much on the up and up, starting off her time in Tension this year with a win served as proof in the eyes of virtually everyone critics included. It was also good to see that Shido wasn't taking this loss very hard, it was part of what made the dancing passion so well liked. Quite often people just couldn't really hate Ms Harenwood and if one did it certainly wasn't due to her personality, proof that she was the darling girl of Kyoto with the skills to pay the proverbial bills.

Eliza giggled as Clyde celebrated the magnificence of the dancing passion's victory, rushing in with the cowboy quickly embracing the British woman. The suddenness of this prompted Ms Harenwood to give a quick yelp, but was followed by a happy giggle. "Woo! Victory! hehehe....." Eliza said with a smirk once she got set down, time to go though it seemed.

"Well then good evening Mr Shido, farewell." Ms Harenwood said and with that the young lady would make her way out the ring, and Eliza couldn't help but ponder on who her next opponent would be on what she couldn't deny was an undeniable high career path.
