Eliza Harenwood (W/Clyde) Vs Shido - Fanning the flames

Eliza had pulled out various tricks in her arsenal to escape to the ropes. She accomplished this goal in impressive enough fashion. The crowd was still behind her, as was Clyde at ringside. Shido wasn't sure if all the support and encouragement was helping her power through the pain or if that was just talent in her own right, but it was something he had to respect. Submissions were his forte and if they weren't getting the job done for him, he wasn't sure what else would. Despite this, he wasn't the type to give in or give up, no matter how stacked the odds were stacked against him!

As Eliza approached the center of the ring and, by proxy, Shido himself, the fanboy began to seem vulnerable. That kick from earlier had done it's job from the moment it connected. Shido tried to raise his arms to get his guard up, but was only able to raise one. He'd approach her with with the same level of caution that she would exercise, but he made no effort to hide his damage and hindrances that she had administered to him. Despite the obvious signs of hurt he was exhibiting, Shido would reply to the dancing passion's comments going to far as to express admiration for her the way any fan boy would."I'm happy to hear that! I wouldn't have it any other way! It's an honor being in the ring with you, Miss Eliza!"

Eliza was sensing that things might be coming to the final act, though still the young woman had seen enough opera to know it was only over when the fat lady sung. There wasn't one present, but no matter. Eliza had come to develop a sort of feel for matches, thanks to her time spent in it. And it seemed that even though Shido had come out better in that earlier exchange Eliza noticed that arm was damaged, no doubt feeling a bit numb after the fantastic strike that had been delivered by Eliza's legs.

Speaking of which Eliza felt that damage in her leg, she had lost one of her main tools in this fight. No matter, for the dancing passion had another one. Once the enemy was downed and Ms Harenwood performed one of her signature holds she was confident that victory would come to her, indeed her first match of the year was proving that she was just as strong as before. Maybe even more so.

Eliza simply nodded in response to Shido's words, she wasn't going to waste anymore energy on dialogue exchange. One opening was going to the only thing that was required, though the dancing passion was certain on a simple fact. It would fall to her to create one, so Ms Harenwood would try to nip in close as quick as her injured leg could allow her. And try to apply a wrist lock on that attacked arm earlier, at least there the ball could get rolling.

Shido wasn't aware of the details of Eliza's personal struggles. He believed wrestling to be an experience that could bring people together as much as it could be used to establish stardom or settle feuds. Normally the kind of following Eliza had could corrupt most anyone, but he sensed she was a good person that came to either test or prove herself. And he had every intention of returning those notions and trying his best! Shido would approach the beautiful dancer, just as she approached him. They'd close the distance and get ready for another exchange. Shido wasn't sure exactly how capable Eliza still was of throwing out another fierce kick, so he prepped himself and expected one. He was caught by surprise when she opted for a more technical approach and went after his weak arm.

"Yikes!" he would let out a quick howl of pain before trying to instinctively counter. Shido had technical wrestling knowledge going for him and that wristlock was feeling anything but pretty at the moment. He would attempt to use him free arm to grab hold of one of her and spin around her for a quick hammerlock. If this was successful, he'd try his hand at a back suplex, hoping to stun her for a at least a moment!

Eliza knew that in spite of all the beautiful strikes that she could deliver with those legs of hers, legs that let her hit the enemy from anywhere. They weren't to be fully depended on however, namely because of how injury to them would not only affect her ability to walk. But her ability to deliver decisive damage as well, so Eliza developed backup plans. Simple and effective procedures using her arms, still wasn't as good as a strike to the head though.

And that might have rung true here, Eliza had gotten some tricks down over the years. Though still, just wasn't as effective as her highly refined kicks. Sure the dancing passion had managed to begin cranking on the limb of the opponent, but it was still a secondary aspect of Eliza's offence at the end of the day. Shido was shorter than Eliza, and thus able to zip around better in close quarters. Not as fast as a kick from the dancing passion, though that small frame would work in his favour.

Next thing Eliza knew one of her arms was getting hammerlocked, before she could prepare herself for that though she was moved into a suplex. Ms Harenwood didn't expect this, Shido was smaller. But had strength to back that up, granted Eliza didn't weigh much. Most of it was down below the waist after all. That said though the dancing passion was used to being sent around when grabbed by a man, so she braced herself for the impact. Tensing herself up as best she could for the impact, and hit the mat with a thud. It didn't hurt as bad as it could have thanks to Eliza's experience, but she was at least rattled for the time being.

Shido was successful in executing his maneuver. Unfortunately for him, it didn't seem to stun her the way he was hoping it would. And that spelled bad news for him. Each kick he had taken had certainly done it's job in whittling him down while he wasn't making much headway in his attempts to wear down Miss Harenwood. In fact, he found himself getting back to his feet at the same pace that Eliza did, despite the fact that he was the one that got some offense in, earlier.

"I see...so you really have been doing wrestling training?" Shido would surmise, as it appeared that she knew how to mitigate the damage of the basic slams, at least.

Eliza spent most of her matches either being at a strength, height or weight disadvantage right from the start. And that more often than not the enemy would seek to slam and toss the dancing passion around, this had been noticed by the young lady as time went on. So like any bad steps Eliza had taken it had been corrected, Eliza had rolled away from Shido and made eye contact with him as she rose up.

He was correct in Eliza taking wrestling training, though he wasn't going to learn where. It was after that battle royale, where Ms Harenwood realised she needed to learn more. That time was spent on the British independent wrestling scene, and Eliza had come back and drastically improved. Though any sort of expression the young lady gave wouldn't give that away, the attack stung less as she moved. But Eliza learned to ride with the pain, try and use it to stoke herself. Eliza stood up, taking a deep breath as she did so to get herself ready to get back in this.

This match had been drawing on for some time, Eliza was confident in her staying power though. After all one good strike was all she could need to lead to one of her best tricks, she just needed the opening. And the dancing passion was going to simply try and make one. Shido had one, everyone did. With that in mind Eliza would try to move in close, aiming to seemingly shoot one of her legs out only to suddenly move it back and try to clip Shido in the side of the jaw with her right elbow instead. The offence was the place Eliza suited best.

Eliza's eyes certainly did tell a story. At least that's what Shido believe. But he was no slouch when it came to training of his own. Despite his young age, he'd been wrestling for many years already and was determined to leave his mark on any promotion he competed in, and that included AFW.

Shido would tread with caution as the two competitors closed the distance. By the time Eliza made her move, Shido braced for impact, but the feint caught him off guard! He'd brace for a kick before recognizing that his opponent's extended leg was only a distraction. He'd wince and grunt in paint as Eliza's elbow his him squarely in the jaw! The strike was decisive and hit it's mark. Still though, the kid tried to show grit. Shido did not go down, nor did he stumble backwards. His head tilted whilst recoiling from the strike, but he turned his head to resume eye contact and charged at Eliza! It might have been desperation at this point, but he used their close distance to attempt to wrap his arms around her waist and hoist her up off the ground for a bearhug submission!

Eliza might have had an image of being a very graceful woman, with the personality and fighting style to go along with it. But the British dancer had over time learned to become rough when the situation had called for it, as much as Eliza liked to think otherwise Tension had a bit of a rough reputation with the men of it. So the dancing passion over time knew that sometimes she needed to get a bit ruthless, she wasn't known for her arm strikes but her upper limbs were toned to better support her acrobatic moves.

Still though Shido didn't tumble to the ground, if it had been a kick to the head no doubt he'd have fallen. Eliza had expected he'd stay up though, no matter as Ms Harenwood would simply continue in her assault. Still though Shido rolled with the attack and proceeded to trap the dancing passion in a bearhug submission.

Eliza winced at the pressure, despite Shido's small frame it seemed to be working. But the first thing was not to panic, Eliza had been in this hold before in her earlier matches. The kid made one mistake though, and the dancing passion was going to exploit it. She quickly wrapped her legs around Shido's waist, as tightly as possible. Eliza took pride in her legs and was confident in her ability to constrict her opponent's ribs, adding to this was with Ms Harenwood using one of her arms to cinch in a headlock around the neck of Shido to add more pressure. If Shido got worn down enough it'd only benefit the dancing passion, the hold was certainly causing harm for Eliza so she had to try and out wrangle him.

Clyde winced as he saw Eliza get back suplexed by Shido and he immediately cringed.

"C'MON ELIZA!!" Clyde shouted from ringside as he saw the Dancing Passion get up. "T-That's the way!" He shouted before seeing Eliza charge head on and smash her elbow across Shido's jaw!

"W-Wow." Clyde suddenly stopped and blinked. Not remembering that being a part of Eliza's attacks...But he liked it! He thought surely this kid was going to go down but he to (still) stay standing and go for a bearhug on Eliza immedately. Getting chest to chest with the dancer and getting his grubby arms around her waist!

Clyde's cheeks immedately puffed before he got antsy. "HEY! Hands where I can see 'em pal!" Clyde barked.

The Texan's comments at ringside certainly weren't helping Shido shift the momentum in his favor. Shido wasn't the type to try anything frisky, even in matches that did call for it. No he was going to go at it with the same diligence and skill that his opponent was. Even if it wasn't earning him the same kind of following and fans that she had amassed.

Shido managed to barrel through the stiff elbow and get in a move of his own. But acting on instinct didn't appear to work out in his favor, at least not this time. No, especially not this time. The fanboy soon found himself trapped between the might of the dancer's defined legs. A scissor was a basic hold, but he had every factor working against him when it came to being scissored by Eliza in this particular match. Her legs appeared to be her greatest weapons by far. Years of dance practice will do that, at least that's what Shido thought initially. On top of that, Shido was a wrestler of small stature. The poor kid was easy to squeeze around the middle. He'd feel more pressure and take more damage than larger wrestlers would in his situation.

These circumstances, along with the previous damage Shido had taken caused him to grunt in pain sharply the instant Eliza applied pressure! He quickly dropped down to one knee. While he was back on the defensive yet again, Shido's tenacity would still see to it that he'd resufe to go down easily.The headlock Eliza added would help her stick to him if she chose to.

"Ugh....so how much am I being charged for this dance lesson?" Shido would comment in jest.
