Gemma Faraday vs. Teddy Cat Hori: Going Hardcore

Gemma sailed through the air with her eyes closed, waiting for the moment that she would make contact with Teddy Cat and take her right down to the floor, once again. Instead, however, she made contact with something a hell of a lot harder and more unforgiving than the cat girl. "HHHOOUUFFF!" "Ooooww~" she whimpered, as she rolled off of Teddy. The Brit's chest was heaving, as she gasped for air. She grimaced in agony, tears flowing down her cheeks. "Ooowiee~" she whined again, trying to roll over to her front, to hide some how humiliated she was by the gross miscalculation involved in that jump. All Gemma could muster for the moment, though, was a twitch of the leg, and a rough cough that wracked her body for a moment.

Teddy wasn't able to avoid Gemma's elbow, taking it right in the chest and getting dropped back onto the floor, though her own attack had at least damaged Gemma as well.

With both girls down, Teddy curled up on her side in a C position, gasping for breath, tears running down her own cheeks as she tried to get back some kind of air, the crowd taking note of both girls being down, starting to slowly chant both girls names, until, within minutes, there was loud dueling "Let's Go Teddy" and "Lets Go Gemma" chants!

Rolling over, Gemma could only continue to moan low in pain, and weakly kick her toes against the arena floor. No matter how many times Gemma was forced to eat crow on moves like that, it never hurt any less.

The dueling chants were pounding in the Brit's ears. Gemma managed to force her tear-brimmed eyes open, taking in the sight of Teddy Cat, curled up in the fetal position. She bit her lip, tried to bit back any further moans of pain long enough to compose herself. She could see Teddy down on the floor, but knew there was no way she could take advantage in her current state. At this point, Gemma would just be happy to get herself back upright. Or semi-upright. Really, just not passing out would be pretty great ...

Eventually, Gemma slowly dragged herself to the barricade. Slowly, the Brit began pulling herself up, getting into a seated position. The fan chants intensified, as she started to rise. Still, Gemma wasn't able to get much higher than a seated position. One arm over the barricade's top, other wrapped around her still-aching chest, Gemma looked over at Teddy, trying to assess the state of her opponent, still unsure what the next step would be for either of them.

Teddy was having equal trouble getting up, not helped by having her hands still tied with the tight leash.

Rather than get to her feet, she focused what she could both on getting her breath back, and freeing her hands from the accursed leash, so that she could once again be free to fight!

"Mrrrow....stupid leash..."

Pulling herself upright, Gemma managed to get to a standing position. Or, at least an 'upright, supported heavily by the audience barricade' position. Which, to her mind, was at least good enough.

While her trembling body was still trying to get back to some semblance of good, Gemma sized up Teddy's position at ringside. She could feel the hands of fans, patting her on the arms and shoulder. Normally, Gemma would have either tried to play to them, or put a couple of the bolder ones in their place- she could already feel a fan's hand creeping a bit too far up her rib cage. Right now, though, the panting and sweat-sheened Brit was only paying attention to her opponent.

With her strength starting to come back to her, Gemma began to move toward her opponent. Throwing her remaining strength into a short run, Gemma jumped into the air, feet first, trying to deliver a missile dropkick that- she hoped- would take the cat girl back down to the floor, possibly even put her under the ring apron, for a moment!

After much, much effort, Teddy finally managed to get her hands free from the leash, a smile on her face as she pushed herself back up to her feet, despite her shaky legs and the pain in her chest.

"I'm...I'm free! I'm up!"

Pulling up the ring apron, Gemma peered inside. "Now now, Teddy," she said, "no hiding, luv! Flipping the apron up, Gemma ducked under it to come after the catgirl. Her hands touched on the rigging of the ring itself, felt around a few bits of wooden plank, spare tools, a couple of the kendo sticks that seemed to randomly take up residence beneath wrestling rings around the world. And, eventually, a boot.

"Gotcha!" Gemma snapped, before she realized she was snatching up an empty unlaced boot. Then, she heard the cat girl speak to her.

Gemma shivered, slightly. "Teddy ... ?" she asked, a bit breathlessly. She bit her lip, looked around her, realizing what a disadvantage she was, in the dark. Gemma didn't know about Teddy, but the Brit couldn't see a damn thing in the dark. And Teddy's offer of cuddles was ... well, nobody in any of her old matches had quite 'threatened' her in that way, before. Was it a 'threat,' tho, really?
