Submission Match: Shido "The Fanboy" Vs. Hiroko Uta

Truthfully, Hiroko wasn't used to dealing with wrestlers that had more things in common with her and her style of wrestling. She was used to having to deal with bigger wrestler who could easily throw her around or could do serious damage if they managed to get their hands on her. She'd always been the one on the run, trying to get out of bad situations. But the tables had been turned, and now Shido was the one on the defensive.

"I'm not gonna let you get away!" She shouted as Shido already began to escape from her grasp. She would try and make a grab for his leg as he scooted away and try to trap him in a heel hook! Not only would it give her something to work with later in the match, if she was lucky, she could manage to slow him down too and make the playing field a little less level in terms of speed.

Shido was ready to fight on instinct and had resolved to do so! He was used to having to play defensively as well and it wouldn't be his first time finding his way out of a bad situation that his opponent put him in!

He would recognize the attempt at the heel hook as soon as Hiroko began to warp her legs around the ankle she targeted! Shido would roll over and and try to make it harder to lock in the hold completely! If this worked, he would try and plan one foot on the ground to push himself up off the ground and pushing himself towards the bottom rope in an attempt to escape and create some separation before she dealt some serious damage and limited his move set for the remainder of the match!

It was clear to Hiroko that she was dealing with a slippery customer. She was having trouble getting a good grip on Shido as he rolled over to escape her hold. As he lurched away from her, Hiroko tried to grab hold of his ankle before he could get away and try and trap him in an ankle lock!

...Only to faceplant as he slipped free of her grasp once again. Quickly, she tried get back on her feet before Shido could capitalize on her downed state, scrambling backward and putting some more distance between them which seemed to be Shido's idea too. Trying a change of tactic, she would instead try and bait Shido into attacking her to try and see what he was capable of and counter if possible. It would leave her vulnerable but at the very least it would break the stalemate between the two speedsters!

Shido would let out a sigh of relief, happy that he was somehow able to evade the ankle lock before damage was done. He began to help himself up to his feet by using the ropes. Shido would notice his for act a bit uncoordinated for a second and fall face first to the mat. It might have been funny to some in the crowd, but Shido bore a look of concern and genuinely wanted to ask if she was ok.

That didn't seem to be necessary though, as Hiroko would be hasty with getting up, seemingly ready to get things going again! In response to her decision to keep her distance, Shido would seek to close the gap and dash at her quickly and jump at her, orienting his body in a horizontal fashion for a crossbody block! If this worked and he landed on top of her, he would to grab one of her arms with both hands and wrap his legs around it, attempting to transition into a cross arm breaker! If everything went his way, he would express his concern but also acknowledge her talents. "I'm sorry for the pain, Hiroko-chan, but you're really good! I need to try my best! Do you want to submit?"

While Hiroko had braced herself for an attack from Shido, she wasn't really built to withstand someone launching their full weight against them so even prepared as she was the crossbody still managed to knock her down to the mat.  Stunned, she could nothing as Shido wrapped around her arm and began to stretch it painfully!

"Mngh! It's fine..." She grunted, shaking her head to signal that she wasn't ready to submit. She was glad that their was no bad blood between them but the move was pretty painful. She tried to flex her arm free of the hold but arm strength wasn't one of her finer points and she doubted she could simply power free of the hold. Her eyes squeezed shut, she tried desperately to squirm free of Shido's submission or at least try to making things a little harder for Shido until work through the pain that clouded her thoughts so she could think of a better way to escape.

Shido would keep the hold locked in, though his opponents struggling made it hard to keep the pressure fully applied. He didn't seem to have her arm entirely straight and rotated the best way and Shido experience with holds made him aware of this. Still, it was enough for him to work with at the moment and enough to try to secure some kind of advantage that he might be able to capitalize on later. Ideally, he would have targeted one of her legs, but this would have to do. He would try to fight through her struggling to apply whatever pressure he could to her arm and elbow while he still had them within his grasp!

Shido increased the pressure on her arm, eliciting a gasp from Hiroko as the pain began to mount. Her mind raced as she tried to think of ways to escape the hold but the best thing she could come up with was to try and force her trapped arm up as high as she could in the hold so she could attempt to use the other arm to lock her hands together. While she wasn't particularly strong, it was still early in the match and she had a lot of energy left in the tank!

Hoping to use the leverage to prevent Shido from pulling her arm any more, she'd try roll her body away from him in attempt to break the hold and put some distance between the pair.

Hiroko's continued attempts at escape weren't helping Shido make the most of the situation like he had wanted to. She had now been lifting her arm in what seemed to be an attempt to make her hands meet and negate the pressure altogether! Shido thought about continuing to fight through this but he resolved that there had to be an easier point to target; weakness she had that he had not yet found. Rather than try to out-muscle her and keep trying to make the same hold work, he would simply cut his losses and let go, opting to roll backwards onto his feet and get up.

"You're pretty good. This is fun!" He would say with a smile, waiting for Hiroko to rise so that they could engage each other yet again!

"You're not bad either! Don't think that I'm gonna go easy on you, though!" Hiroko was enjoying herself, grateful to have opportunity to test herself against an opponent that was an even match for her.

The match was again in no man's land as she got up to her feet, both sides ready, cautiously waiting for the other to make the first move. Hiroko reached out her arm toward Shido, ready to pull it back at a moment's notice. She was hoping to bait him into reaching out to her so she could grab him and put him in a wrist lock to keep him from getting away from her. If she succeeded, she'd try to pull him in close and snake her limbs around him so she could trap Shido in a abdominal stretch to put some pressure on him!

"Awesome!" Shido was delighted to hear Hiroko was going all out and having fun. And he strived to do the same! He would take the opportunity to regroup while they both waited for each other to make a move.

After a few moments, Shido would approach her slowly, keeping a stance with his arms in front of him and waiting for an opening, despite the fact that she seemed to be employing the same strategy. He would notice Hiroko extend her arm towards him. Shido recalled that he lost the previous test of strength, but he also remembered the sheer effort she put into winning the previous one. "She's gotta be at least a little spent from having exerted herself!", he thought as he reached in, believing it was an offer for another test!

"Yikes!"

Shido would respond audibly as he seemed to be suckered into a quick wristlock. He thought it was a quick crafty maneuver on her part, but nothing he couldn't find his way out of. Unluckily for him, he wouldn't need to, as the speedy vixen would pull him in faster than he could react and wrap her leg around his own, and her arms around his torso to trap him in an abdominal stretch hold!

The fanboy would grunt in pain as he assessed his situation. While they were both on the short side as far as wrestlers go, Hiroko maintained a height advantage over him, which let her amp up additional pressure in this specific hold over him - more pressure than she would be able to apply to someone her height or taller! Shido would struggle to hold himself up while he was being twisted. Remembering an earlier remark, and perhaps buying time to think of something by offering witty banter, he would fight through the pain to say "Urgh!...You body is quite the conversationalist, huh?"
