V day hijinks!

Looking at this place really prompted John to think inwardly, it seemed like so long ago when he was living the life of trying to be a professional artist. While at the same time keeping fit and making money on the side, he hadn't even needed the money. But he was encouraged to do so by his parents, and it had been something he was interested in. Still it hadn't been easy, he had been a total amateur. A small fish trying to be a big one in a giant pond, he didn't exactly have the greatest start he'd admit..

Now though, he graduated from that art college. Got into wrestling full time, and now? He was holding a title, his rookie days he felt had drawn to a close in spite of what critics might say. This little thing he was doing with Ami let him feel good, take the chance to enjoy the little things. "Sure thing, hold still~" John stated, the young man gently linked the flower into the bluenette's hair. Right above that left ear, the artist would take a chance to admire his handiwork like he had done so many times in the past.

John smiled when Ami complimented him there, and was showing that she could relate to him in terms of careers. "Heh, thanks Ami. I think my boss said you were a supermodel right? Hey maybe later on today I'd be up for maybe doing a painting of you if you want? My treat, but let's see what's going on here first. Oh, I think I see a kabuki performance over there. Wanna check it out?" John said while pointing in the direction of the acting, he was certainly feeling like he could enjoy himself here today.

The two enjoyed a nice visit to the parks festival and Ami was treated to some of the artistic talent the master of creation had as he picked a flower and carefully placed it into her hair, right above her left ear. She smiled and did a curtsy " Why thank you~" while giggling a bit as she touched the flower ever so gently.

She blushed a bit as he mentioned her career and even more so when he mentioned that he could paint a picture of her " Oh wow, that would be pretty sweet of you. I've never had someone do a painting of me, that would be quite cool"she said laughing before nodding at his request and the two moved towards the direction of a couple of performances doing a kabuki performance.

John would have to admit, Japan had intrigued him even before he had gotten the chance to arrive there. He didn't know why, it just happened. Maybe it was the nice scenery that he'd seen, and sought to emulate it. Looking at this place could be a good example to be sure, though right now the young man wasn't contemplating it. John had been too busy admiring his handiwork of applying a flower to Ami's hair, really did suit her.

And hey things were going up too, Ami gladly accepted John's offer to make a portrait of her later on. That would be great, given Ms Takeuchi's previous line of work before going into wrestling it brought back times of when John had to paint people back in college. "Heh awesome, cheers Ami." John said with a smile, it'd let him keep his skills in shape too. After all it had been common knowledge that currently John wasn't working on any major pieces for galleries right now, too much time and effort. No way the boss was gonna allow that.

For now though John would watch this kabuki performance with Ami, he couldn't say he'd seen it before. Though Mr Carnaby wasn't one for acting, which did kinda come out in his ring attire. In contrast to his boss and Lucy's outfits, John just duked it out in a pair of blue jeans and black boots. Still he admired the performers here, very vibrant colours and attire. The artist could tell heart went into it, there was no point in doing it if you didn't.

"I think that guy's botched breathing fire in the past, he's got a little mark under his neck there. Good stuff though, you can pick the next activity. It'd be no fun if I'm doing it all right?" John muttered to Ami while motioning with his head as the crowd gave oos and ahh's in response to the climax of the act.

The two shared a nice comfy afternoon together, which was something off for Ami as she had a reputation for being obnoxious and bratty. John got to see her nice side, with her being more girlie and happy side. The two watched the performance as Ami jumped up and clapped for them while John seemed to be quite impressed by it as well, he was an observant fellow as he mentioned the mark under one of the performers neck.

"Oooh! Wow, I didn't even notice that." she said acting all bubbly. Ami put her hand on her mouth and giggled, slightly nudging her shoulder into John before suggestion "Weeeeellll I am quite hungry actually..."she said rubbing her tummy.

In spite of his ability for creativity John never really was one for acting, it was more of a case that he wasn't too good at it than personally disliking it. After all as a child he often was taken to the theatre, either with his parents or as a school trip. It all seemed larger than life when he was younger, though he grew out of that and found that form of art not to be the calling for him. Still he appreciated it and respected those who did so, John just didn't have the knack for it.

Ami then stated she was feeling hungry, which prompted Mr Carnaby to realise the same. His boss got him out the door in a hurry, and in his haste to be the dogsbody John forgot the time. It was around the time he usually ate anyway, best see to it then.

"Hrm, indeed now that you mention it. Sure let's see.....Think there's a stand over yonder. Oh a couple of free seats, come on." John said as he quickly made to get to them, he knew that actually getting seats in a festival could be hard. Once John sat down he put his hand on the other chair till Ami got to him. When the supermodel sat down he'd move his hand and say "Have whatever you want Ami, all my treat~" the artist had to admit he did like to spoil the people he spent time with. And it was rather nice too, considering that he was interacting with Ami in a manner outside the ring too. Where he could just have fun instead.

As a model, Ami never really thought of taking up a career in acting. Although many people could already consider her as good actor already due to her two faced personality that she shows amongst some people. However, it wouldn't be a bad switch from a model to wrestler to actor, she wouldn't be the first one to ever switch to acting from wrestling.

"Right, let's go"Ami said enthusiastically as John suggested the two make their way towards a place, not to far, which had a couple of seats to sit down and perhaps have some food. "Why thank you"she would say sweetly when he saved her a seat and when they got down she was pleased to know she was being spoiled by another treat.

"My my, you do know how to treat a lady don't you?" *giggle*. Ami thought about it for a while "Mmmm something with rice....and curry....."she started to mumble to herself

John was mostly a basic sort of guy when it came to his food, at least when it came to making it. The artist was mostly a meat eater so he could keep the potatoes for painting, but since getting in with the UK Elite it had been a strict diet. Part of why John had been a chump back in his days of just starting out was that well he was living the student diet, which wasn't the best way to go about things when you tired to build stamina.

Now though the young man had this day off and decided to not abide by his usual diet, after all next day John would probably be hitting the treadmill and chatting with his boss about their next match. And how this day went too, and so far it'd been pretty darn good so far. Ami seemed like a rather nice girl when all the cameras and stakes of winning and losing wasn't there, which was a relief.

Ami complimented John on how he treated the bluenette thus far, and in response John gave a little chuckle and a tilt of the head. He always had been a nice gentleman when it was earned, Ami certainly had at least he felt.

"Righto, you heard the lady. As for me I'll.....take a bowl of beef ramen with miso. And some cola too for the pair of us, cheers pal." John said to the chef, he took his credit card out of a special pocket inside his coat. That trenchcoat of his could store a katana inside it and no one would know, once it was checked out the chef got to work for the pair.

The artist decided to make some small talk with Ami while their food was being made by saying "So Ami I'm curious if you'll permit me, what was it like when you were just getting into wrestling. Like before you had a debut in Tension you know what I mean."

The two sat down in a size and comfortable place, with a great view of the festivities going around and they had the bonus of having a nice meal while watching it. Ami was rather impressed by the pampering she was given by John, given their heated last match it seemed that the UKE were not one to hold a grudge against an opponent, something that the Takeuchi siblings usually found it hard to do so.

Ami smiled and nodded as John spoke to the chef before watching him pay off with his credit card that he pulled out of that long, stylish trenchcoat he usually wore. "Sure, I don't mind. Well, It was tough- I'll tell you that. Not just the training but mentally preparing for it. I knew if Daisuke could do it, I have a shot too. He always didn't want me to come here, I guess he was just worried about me but I think I've gained his trust and respect that I can handle myself just as good as he can"she said, putting her elbow's on the table and her fists pressed against her chin.

It wouldn't be long before John and Ami's food was ready, John hadn't really had much Japanese stuff. He'd tried some of their sweets though, they had some of the cutest things that were really sweet and did a number on those teeth. But John was more of a sour guy when it was with candy, but each to their own.

Ami's explanation of what it was like for her during her initial start into the wrestling business resonated with Mr Carnaby, he was actually wondering if she'd keep it a secret to avoid giving away anything embarrassing which John would understand. But the master of creation could certainly see where she was coming from.

Once the bluenette was done John would state "Hrm, I can certainly agree with that. Though when I first started I didn't really have that drive yet, likely cause I was still focused on college and wrestling was the part time job. But then I was recruited by my boss, that was when I had to earn it and step up. The training was gruelling, had to do squats with mini truck tires tied to my back. Up a hill, in the wee hours of the morning. And that was just the start let me tell you, we're bred to be winners and not to be the norm my boss would say!"

It was painful, but worth it. John puffed his chest up in front out of a sense of how proud he should be. "Yeah, trust and respect is important. Lot of people think they deserve it, but you earn it. Mean when I won the tag belts with Ryan critics were like this John bloke is a noob! But I've come a long way since, I think we could be good examples that you can do when your mind is put on it." he said turning to Ami with a grin.

The chef arrived with their food soon thereafter, John would give a little chuckle before saying "Here we go cheers, er itadakimasu Ami." and begin to eat his ramen.

Ami was getting quite hungry and the small talk with John kept her quite entertained and it was a good way to past the time while they waited for their food. Ami told him his story, something which she usually never opened up to other people but then again other people really might not have taken interest in her strange switch in careers.

John had gone through a similar transition therefore he was familiar with what the supermodel was talking about, granted they weren't in the exact same boat but they did share a couple of similar paths. After John was done Ami simply nodded "Well I must say, you certainly looked like you had much more of a rough training regime than I did hehe"she giggled.

"I agree on that, we certainly could be! Oh look~the food is here, looks delicious" Ami said as her eyes lit up. She laughed as John said grace as the Japanese do, it was a really sweet touch. She clasped her hands together and bow her head slightly Itadakimasu! Lets enjoy" she said before using her cutlery and start eating the meal.
