24/7 Championship Match: Carmen Rodriguez (C) Vs Diana Accera

Falling onto another poor soul did give Diana some comfort, sickly. After all, at least some other individual would be hurting like she was, along with providing some padding for both women.

Falling on her side, Diana took a few deep, desperate breaths, as it became painfully obvious that since Carmen was willing to chase her like that she was more than willing to go to other extremes as well. But on Diana's watch, not before the feisty Italian went there first.

Her hair grappled, Diana again used the cloth of the ring apron to aid in her standing, Carmen already clearing a small area for the two to scuffle in. Feigning absolute exhaustion, she'd suddenly lean into the champion, acting like she was using her as a pole to help her stand.

At the last second though, she'd suddenly tense her body, firming her feet, and extending her arms, as she'd aim to shove Carmen head first into the nearest ring post!

So it seemed like this was turning into a street fight. Fine. It wasn’t Carmen’s first, and as the 24/7 Champion, it was a virtual certainty that she’d have to engage in them. It wasn’t like any other belt - her prowess had to be shown inside the ring and out. She just had to hope she was better at it than this newcomer.

”Get up!” Carmen growled as she was forced to put far more effort into lifting Diana than she wanted to. The woman could barely stand, too winded by her own suicide dive to even straighten up. ”What’s wrong, lady?" She indulged in a quick chuckle through her struggles. "Bite off a little more than you can-”

It turned out that Diana was a long way from being finished. A very long way. Suddenly she was full of life, and she used that newfound energy to fling Carmen away, making her stumble forward. That wouldn’t have been the worst thing, if not for the obstacle in her path - namely, the ringpost.

Carmen hit it and hit it face first. Hard. Everything went black for a moment, and when the lights came back on, she was on her knees, leaning against the ringpost while her students screamed in protest, begging her to get back in the game. She would, too. Just as soon as she could see straight and the world stopped spinning around her.

Whilst it did involve some form of trickery, a skill Diana despised heavily, the fact that Carmen was so easily fooled could also have been put down to overconfidence. Then again, she couldn't exactly be blamed. Diana was still panting wildly, and it was her first match after all!

Falling to her knees after she pushed Carmen with a barrel of her strength, Diana would look up, spotting the champion seemingly resting on the pole she just buried her on. She smiled, slowly controlling her panting, as she began to stand.

"Saying something, Champ?" Stepping closer to Carmen, she'd extend her hand, grabbing the hair of her champion foe. "I'm not close to done...and we both know neither are you!" she'd roar, almost complimenting Carmen, before trying to shoot her hands low, for a waist grip on the woman.

If Carmen still stayed dazed, she'd hoist her back, roaring, intending to german suplex her into the empty space created by the crowd behind the two!

Blood.

Carmen could feel it begin to leak down her forehead, coming from the spot where her forehead had struck the ringpost. Not a major gash, but it would be leaking all over her face in less than a minute, she was sure of it. Funnily enough, it managed to get a little chuckle out of her. She had to admit, when she woke up this morning, she never considered that this day would include her getting busted open by a Italian wrecking machine. Life in Kyoto was full of surprises.

That wrecking machine was far from finished, too. Carmen let out a sharp hiss when her hair was yanked back, clutching Diana’s inexorable grip, pulled so hard that the Latina boxer thought she might actually pull a few strands out of the scalp. Having Diana scream in her ears didn’t help Carmen’s fugue, either, and it all just made her easy prey for what came next.

Awareness came back to Carmen when Diana’s arms wrapped around her waist, but it was too little, far too late - by the time she had enough wherewithal to do anything about it, she was already in flight, going up in over with a German Suplex, the same move she’d used herself a minute ago. Diana’s was better than hers, too.

Carmen hit the padded floor with a sickening crash on her shoulders, and the agony was instantaneous. Carmen flopped away and stopped on her side, where she began to roll back and forth, coping with the pain making its way up and down her spine.

Diana would lay on her back the moment she hit the mat in the suplex throw, looking straight up and back to the girl that she had just launched. She couldn't help but smile. Whilst it was the same manoeuvre her champion foe had just used on her, it was no means meant to be a 'whatever-you-can-do-I-can-do-better' statement by Diana, but simply the most practical manoeuvre to resort to. It was pretty obvious that both women were stronger in fields than the other, but the match was never about comparisons to Diana. It was about beating each other senseless.

She'd bring her legs up, knees to her stomach once more, almost in the preparation position for a kip-up, before opting to simply roll, getting on her knees. There was no point for wasting stamina in quick rises, when your opponent was moving at turtles pace.

The crowd of women now adjusting and creating a large empty circle around where the two strong women were, Diana simply strolled along to her foe. As she did, she brought up her hand, the same that had gripped her foes hair earlier, noticing a red stain. Realising the fight was starting to get brutal...Diana simply laughed, throwing back her head.

Stepping either side of her foe, with Carmen's front still to the floor, Diana wouldn't waste much time. After all, she thought she walked too slow to begin with, but simply couldn't resist the taunt. Reaching down, she'd hook an arm under Carmen's neck, partially to choke her, but to mainly force yet another rise, as Diana's other arm would lock with it.

The referee noticed the blood, too, and she did what her job required her to do in such situations: make sure both of the wrestlers were still in fighting shape.These were two AFW commodities, after all. Even if this was no-holds-barred, there was still some level of decorum required, and if the match had to be stopped, she would do it. ”Carmen, can you continue?”

Referee stoppage. Something that had never happened to Carmen in her boxing career, though she’d come close to it more times than she’d cared for. In such a case, the title would be awarded to Diana by default. Not happening. ”I can still fight.” Carmen started to push up. ”I’m good, I’m-”

She noticed a shadow coming over at the last second. Too late. Diana’s arm was already around her throat, locked in tight and choking away, squeezing out the air that Carmen had been storing up since the last attack to her throat. She wasn’t content to just choke her down there, either, as she forced Carmen to stand up, hanging her like she was in a hangman’s noose.

The 24/7 Champion went into a furious struggle, pulling at Diana’s arm, fighting for every breath she could get, but the strength gap was too wide - she wasn’t powering out of this. For now, all she could do was defiantly shake her head while the vise grip tightened.

Diana knew for a fact that there was no chance in hell Carmen would ever allow a referee stoppage to remove her belt for her. Hell, she didn't even know if a submission or pin fall victory was even in the cards, no matter how hard she worked the woman. She'd been working for a K.O. win from the offset. But first, it was time to make sure those powerful jabs would remain powerless, if but for a bit longer.

Dragging the girl up by her throat, making sure to give hard jerks occasionally to maximise difficulty of breathing, Diana would release her lock the moment Carmen stood, her hands instantly going to the woman's wrists from behind.

Hooking her arms in slightly, bending Carmen's own in the process, she would have her hands holding Carmen's back, either side of her armpits, holding the woman's arm in a weak double chicken wing lock.

In a act of raw power, and in an attempt to further literally disarm Carmen, she'd bend slightly, before roaring, straightening up and hoisting Carmen's feet slightly off the mat, in an elevated chicken wing!

To Carmen’s credit, she didn’t go gently as Diana hauled her upwards. She held onto the arm and tried to dead weight the Amazon. She twisted, left and right and left and right. She desperately tried to bring her leg back and trip her up. She did everything she could think to do in such a situation.

It didn’t work. None of it.

Diana was relentless. Everything she tried just seemed to make the grip tighten, and the way her opponent kept jerking get around just tired her out. By the time Carmen was standing, she’d wasted so much energy trying to breathe that, when she finally got the air she craved, her body totally focused on sucking in as much as it could. All other considerations were secondary. Including defense. She couldn’t have been easier prey if she’d wanted to be.

Diana roared. Carmen screamed. A long, drawn out wail as she was lifted into the air, taken off her feet. It felt like her arms were being slowly pulled out of her sockets, and the only she could do was kick her legs and shake her head and rest on the knowledge that Diana couldn’t hold this move for very long.

She hoped.

It was obvious Carmen would ragdoll, after all, who in the hell would want to be brought up into another perfect position for a slam against a woman like Diana? Still, it cost the Italian to drag her standing, albeit she did it slowly, rather than simply drag her up in a moments notice.

Locking in that double arm lock, she'd crouch ever so slightly as Carmen hung in the air, putting her body in a bracing position so she could still keep the lift, but at the same time very aware that keeping said hold locked in for an extended period of time was unlikely. Still, a hold that bust both the arms of a champion boxer? Had to be done really.

She'd slowly begin to rise to her full stood figure once more, sweat now coming down her brow from both exertion and the match itself, before finally she relented, merely leaning Carmen forward as she released her arms, hoping that the positioning alone would of slammed Carmen on her bloody face wound once more without Diana even having to try.

While Carmen was being hoisted up, the cameraman recovered from the spill he’d taken and decided to get back to his job. After all, even though the lense on his camera was cracked, he had to get a shot of this: the 24/7 champion being hoisted in the air, at the mercy of the strange, dangerous new challenger. Not the sort of thing you saw everyday, and he made sure to get some good angles as he circled around the fight.

”Carmen!” The referee took a knee nearby and looked up, keeping her eyes centered on the champion as Diana hunkered down and redoubled her efforts. ”Carmen, can you continue?”

Carmen merely nodded her head in confirmation, not wanting to waste a single bit of breath on speaking right now. She needed all of it to endure this hold, as Diana’s fiercely threatened to rip her in half.

When it was over - mercifully, thankfully, finally over - Carmen fell flat to the floor, head bouncing against the canvas as she landed. Her arms were on fire, burnging all the way down. She could probably still get some used out of them after a minute or two, but even then, everything with them involved would hurt. As she rolled over to her back and cradled them, she realized it was time to rethink some strategies and come up with new ones.
