24/7 Championship Match: Carmen Rodriguez (C) Vs Diana Accera

Just by closing the distance to Carmen, Diana knew that her assault had done it's work. How long said work would last though, would remain to be seen, a question that would be pushed to the back of Diana's head for the moment, as she simply tried to pick a spot to add more crippling pain to.

Hoping her push of sorts wouldn't down the girl, Diana's face grew to the tiniest of smiles as she got what she aimed for regardless; a full lock on the girl. The corner would simply provide different opportunities to her assault rather than a centre of the ring waist lock after all.

Pinning the girl in, she had no intention of letting Carmen go. Sure, the chance of Carmen simply elbowing the Italian were above were as likely as anything. But then again, Diana was more than willing to take the hits, because she'd be giving the same back.

Her hands holding the middle ropes either side of Carmen, she'd bring her shoulder out, before ramming it back in, trying to drive the wind from her nimble opponent, proceeding to do so a few more times if the champion failed to halt her.

”Come on!”

“Get out of there!”

“Fight out!”

Carmen’s girls screamed her way as Diana closed in, but they might as well have been white noise. The Amazon was coming, and there wasn't much she could do to stop her. Not like this.

”Guh!” Diana’s shoulder crashed into her shoulder with incredible power. From where she stood, Carmen could see the rippling muscles down her spine, see the lean tension in each blow. This was a body designed to destroy other bodies.

”Ah!” Another one crashed in, just as hard as before. It was becoming readily apparent that Diana would be perfectly fine hammering her into this corner until she didn't have any ribs left to break. She needed an escape route.

Diana crashed in for a third time, but this time she didn't go unanswered. Carmen wrapped her arm around the Amazon’s skull with an inverted headlock. Not much of an attack, but if it held Diana in place and stopped her assault, it was worth the effort.

Diana knew she had to keep focused, even with some new found success. Just because she'd started chopping the tree down, didn't mean it was even close to falling.

Backing away for what was to be the third and final, and most importantly powerful, shoulder strike, Diana would find her mark, feeling the wheeze of the woman she battered, her eyes then turning to shock as she found the woman's arm hooking over and under her neck.

Her hands shooting to the girls hips, she'd try to gently manoeuvre her straight back, out of the corner, knowing that most likely Carmen's hold was one to simply buy her time rather than hurt Diana.

If Carmen failed to take the initiative, Diana's arms would then wrap, locking tightly behind the back of the woman, before trying to hoist the woman up and over, as Diana straightened her back, then backwards, in a northern lights suplex!

Got her.

It was an inverted facelock, hardly the most devastating move in all of wrestling, but Carmen clamped down on it like it was her finisher. She had the upperbody strength to make it work, powerful arms that squeezed on Diana’s head like an anaconda vise.

Now that she had a good grip, plans started to form in Carmen’s head. A DDT. She’d slam Diana down with a DDT, knock her senseless and work from there. Good idea, and as they moved out of the corner, Carmen jerked down on the hold and got ready for takeoff.

Diana beat her to it, though. The next thing Carmen knew she was being flung up and over, tossed through the air as if she were just a little child. All she could do was tuck her head as she descended, so she came down on her shoulders instead of her head. Less dangerous, but still painful.

The momentum wound up taking her all the way to the center of the ring, landing with resounding crash. Carmen immediately sat up and arched her back, eyes screwed shut from the pain.

Despite her success in utilizing a near flawless suplex, Diana's back arched properly, her legs bending in all the right places, and Carmen's collision with mat sounding just the way she wanted it to, Diana made no effort to try and maintain a bridge for a pin fall. This was the champion after all. If she lost to a suplex, nay a early suplex, she probably wouldn't of got far in AFW. Let alone hold a belt.

She'd pull herself to her knees quickly, turning as she took in air, spotting her foe rising relatively quickly. She rubbed her jaw a fair bit, finally managing to shake some of the pain from their early boxing exchanges to the point where they were negligible, at least for now, before she stood.

Her foe in the perfect position for it, she'd kick off her legs, running past Carmen and bouncing off the ropes she was looking at.

Upon returning, Diana would aim to jump slightly, extending her leg. If all went to plan, she'd demonstrate to Carmen that Diana's upper body wasn't the only thing of concern, as she'd try to near take the champions head off with a shining wizard!

”Get up!”

Carmen was a little groggy, but not so much that she couldn’t notice Diana storming past her. Few things in life were less subtle than a six foot tall Italian with muscles like a human tank and a star spangled bikini running.

”Get up!”

Nonetheless, she had her students warnings egging her on, as if her own five senses were enough to tell her that Diana speeding towards her prone body was a bad thing. Carmen had already started to work her way back up to a knee, but it looked like she was going to have to get up a lot faster than that.

Diana’s powerful leg came flying towards her head with a well-executed enziguiri, one that would’ve left her flat on the mat if it hit. But it didn’t. Carmen ducked under it at the last moment, and as the momentum kept Diana spinning, she went into action and made the best of her window.

Carmen popped up and snaked her arms underneath Diana’s shoulders, letting her fingers meet and lock just behind her head. A full nelson hold, basic and effective. It was highly unlikely to make a woman with this much fire tap out, but at least she was slowing down her momentum again, just like with the headlock. Hopefully this would work better.

Diana was already preparing some cocky words in her head as she ran towards the seated champ. After all, the match had essentially been boxing on Carmen's part, save for a kick, and Diana was confident her more mixed display would earn her the win. A shame she was never allowed chance to throw those words out then.

Her thick leg swinging where Carmen's head was, the Italian would land, her back to the mat, having missed her mark. Intending to hit said mark quickly before the champ made her recovery, she'd lay flat on the mat, before bringing her legs up, then kicking up and out, executing an impressive kip-up!

Not given a second to admire her own flexibility and acrobatics of course, she soon found her arms pinned, Carmen's own locking just above her head. Grunting, she'd stand firm, knowing full well that shaking would just worsen the ache, as she'd try to work her own strong arms against Carmen's surprisingly firm lock.

"Tch...Like this..would...work!" She'd mutter, trying to focus on forcing her way free through sheer power.

Carmen let out a guttural growl as locked the full nelson in. She didn’t think that holding Diana would be easy, but damn it was like holding down a wild animal. An extremely powerful wild animal. Even with the superior position, this Amazon was still powering through.

”Working okay-” Carmen grunted as her hold almost came undone, forcing her to readjust and hunker down before Diana could get free. ”Working okay so far!”

Carmen kept her position, pressing her chest up tight to Diana’s back, getting whipped in the face by wild Italian hairs. Despite the bravado, her arm was still hurting from the earlier hit. She couldn’t hold Diana forever. Maybe not even five more seconds.

Plan B, then. Carmen let go of the full nelson, but only so she could bring her arms down and wrap them around Diana’s waist. From there she jerked backward, lifted her up, and tried to throw her overhead with a German Suplex, slamming her right on her back. A little payback for the Northern Lights.

Where as most would thrash in a nelson like a wild animal, Diana was utilizing all the strength of one, in a controlled calm manner. Even slightly forcing Carmen's lock apart would nullify the majority of the strain on her arms after all.

She knew Carmen wouldn't waste long trying to continuously reapply a hold Diana was slowly forcing her freedom from, it was more matter of when Carmen released over if. And surely enough Diana would try to prepare to instantly turn the tables once more. Or so she thought.

Her opponent quickly switched up her lock, before hoisting Diana up and over before she even had chance to bring her own hands down. Whilst Diana had in the past, managed to perform the rare counter to a german suplex, of actually jumping into the manoeuvre (rather than act against it); the resulting momentum allowing her to flip in the air and land on her feet, those times were one of vastly more prepared ones, where a german suplex had been telegraphed to Diana. Such was not a time.

Barrelling through the air, Diana's teeth would clench and her body go loose briefly as she collided hard with the mat, her arms going wide as she was again caught off guard by the surprising arsenal of what she believed to be just a boxer.

While suplexes were normally not her wheelhouse, Carmen had a few in her arsenal and was adding more all the time, trying to be a more complete wrestler in all aspects. With that being said, while she had pulled off a German Suplex before, she’d never done it with someone so close to her own size. Today was turning into a lot of firsts, actually. Funny how that worked.

The two femme fatales crashed into the mat, with Carmen getting the better of it for the moment. Just the moment. As she rolled to her stomach and looked up, she knew the sight of Diana on her stomach, looking prone wouldn’t be one that lasted very long. This woman recovered fast. She needed to get in some crucial damage while she had the chance.

Deciding to go with another submission to see how it work, she swung her leg over Diana’s back and straddled it, trying to keep her down. From there, Carmen reached forward, wrapped her arm around Diana’s neck, and yanked back, trying to choke her out with a tight sleeperhold.
