Aquatic Circus: Tessa "Blue" Malore VS Bethany "Circus Babe" Maroza

Tessa made sure to remove her amazed look quickly; she couldn't spend too much time oggling the girl, especially when it was evident the feat of acrobatics she just witnessed would most likely be one of many. She couldn't help but feel that in terms of gaining the crowds favour, her usual repertoire of simple but effective moves would lose to Bethany's simply stunning manoeuvres.

The feign of sorts thrown by Bethany, her martial arts stance, made Tessa blow out a huff, of almost annoyance. Great, fast as hell and a martial artist, she thought to herself. The idea that the girl was simply throwing it as a ruse didn't even cross her mind.

Her foe moving towards her once more quickly, she'd begin to lean in, believing the fast girl were going for her legs as she'd seemingly duck low. Only Bethany's 'duck low' went all the way to the ground, performing a cartwheel and landing her two firm legs on Tessa's shoulders. Almost edging into the move in the first place, the plucky young girl would find herself hoisted over the acrobat, spinning in the air before landing on her back!

Bethany had practised the moves she would do step by step, going over it like she did in her performances. To bring out the maximum amount of entertainment value, as well as make the enemy feel it. The mind games would serve to keep the enemy playing to the tune of her music, or at least she hoped. The crowd must have liked Tessa too, Beth would say she looked like a nice enough gal. But when it came to style the circus girl was hard to outshine.

Normally Bethany tied her hair before doing acrobatics, but this was different. It was a match, and the circus girl grinned as she felt herself take Tessa for the ride with her. Bethany was no stranger to using her legs to swing her body about, thanks to several acts in the past.

After sending her opponent for a loop it would result in the circus girl rolling onto her belly and being on her hands and knees. During which Bethany would take a moment to admire her handiwork, then she'd take a breath and stand up. And attempt to get near Tessa's prone form, and then leap up with both legs for a double leg drop. That said though, if the opponent could roll out the way all Bethany would get was a sore rump after hitting the mat.

It was easy to understand why the crowd were more on Bethany's side as oppose to Tessas. Not only had she been in AFW longer, establishing herself firmly, but the girl obviously had the flair for putting on a show, where as Tessa simply went for a win. Maybe in the future, Tessa could exaggerate her features, and create a lovable character that would get the crowd chanting for her just as much.

Landing on her back, Tessa would look up, in reasonable time for a change, as the agile girl seemed intent on giving her both legs once more, in the form of a leg drop. Pulling herself to a seated position quickly, her eyes would close and she'd shudder, as she'd hear the circus girl hit the mat behind her, thanking who-ever was listening that her front was not where Bethany just landed.

Bethany had always had a flair for drama when performing, sometimes giving dramatic pauses in her lines and other things. It had become part of her nature in this persona, the one that she had currently in the ring. The familiar cheers of the crowd was something that Bethany had learned to bask in.

However her flair for the dramatic had just come back to bite her here, as there had been enough time for Tessa to nimbly evade her attack. Bethany knew it right away, because there was no response in the form of a painful sound from the opponent. And the circus girl felt the shock on her rump. In her mind Ms Maroza admitted she flopped here, of course Tessa just wasn't going to lie down and take it.

Beth had made herself look like a bit of a fool there, but it mattered little as the crowd had supported her from the start of the match. But the girl didn't like where this was right now, she tried to get up with one hand quickly rubbing her backside. And just hoped she could get away in time before her opponent tried to take advantage of the fact they were both on the mat, with a close proximity.

Sat up mere inches away from the girl, Tessa let out a breath of air. In all honesty, the chances were Bethany would assault her upper body, so Tessa's reaction was planned before she even saw the girl in mid air. It wasn't that common for people to aim leg drops at arms or legs after all.

Pulling herself somewhat quicker up than Beth, she'd soon turn, her back shuddering as she shook off the pain from being essentially flipped via hurricanrana, before trying to close the distance, trying to pull the girls head under her arm when she stood, to reign in the nimble performer.

Bethany didn't like how this was going, her opponent got hold of her. The circus girl knew what her gameplan was, to keep using dynamic attacks and knock Tess silly till victory was Beth's. Being grappled by the opponent just didn't sit right with her, it slowed the match down. Let the enemy try to do what they wanted, which would throw the spanner in the works for the young woman.

The first thing was to not panic, that only made the situation worse. And with the lifestyle Bethany had panic could potentially be fatal, even with safety nets and other measures. She remained as still as she could, trying to ignore the pressure that was being put around her neck.

The important thing was to try and get out of this hold, and fast. With that in mind Bethany got her arm ready, and would attempt to drive some elbow shots into the side of Tessa's guts. Wasn't anything flashy, but right now maybe that was the best course of action.

Holding the girl under her arm, Tessa knew simply because she had the lighter girl, didn't mean the deal was done. If Bethany were that easy, hell if any fighter were that easy, then they simply wouldn't last in AFW. But reigning the girl in for the moment was Tessa's only concern, she wasn't exactly trying to choke her foe out.

Her arms relatively tight but firm, she'd soon find her waist assaulted by sharp elbows, thrown from a poor angle but still hitting their unprotected mark relatively painfully.

Tessa would grunt with each strike, but it was to be expected. After all, she had control of Bethany, at least for now. She noted how the girl wasn't exactly panicking in her hold; a note of experience, as jostling in a headlock would only wrench her neck herself, and more notably allow her loose footing to be easily controlled.

Intending at first to throw the girl over her hip, she'd quickly decide in her mind that given said firm stance by Bethany, there was next to no leverage to do so. Instead, she'd just fall back, trying to DDT the girl, knowing full well that Bethany could probably brace easy and prevent near all collision with the mat. Still, at least she could try and work her on the ground.

Bethany knew that remaining calm would aid her, she liked to think that you didn't fly in the air without developing some sense of levelheadedness over time. In spite of the flips and acrobatics that Beth busted out on a regular basis, the irony of which wasn't lost on her.

Still there was one weakness that Bethany had, in actual technical wrestling ability was lacking. Granted she watched a lot of matches, but it didn't quite equate to actually competing. And Bethany had sparred alone in private, so no one could get some early teasers as to the dynamic attacks that the circus girl had in mind. She preferred not getting into pitched out grounded affairs, so Bethany was thinking on how to get out of this situation.

That line of thinking was cut though as Tessa did a move on her own, driving the circus girl down with a tenacious DDT. It earned a loud grunt in response from Bethany, she had managed to rely on her time landing on mats. But still she took a hard bump on the forehead, the circus girl groaned quietly before trying to roll away. That was something Bethany had hoped to avoid, but it was bound to have happened.

As Tessa began to fall with the girl, she was half expecting the nimble circus girl to perform some amazing never before seen counter, maybe back flip out of the hold and drop kick her falling foe or something. She was still under the influence of her introductory display after all.

Luckily, she managed to pull off the simple manoeuvring, feeling her foes head make the collision she hoped for. Now that she was dazed, she wouldn't be able to nip around the ring like a luchadore. Or so Tessa hoped, at least until she pulled off her next manoeuvre.

Letting her foe roll away, she'd quickly roll on top of her, attempting to straddle the girl, so she could further set up for a hold, her hands at neck level half expecting the girl to immediately try to jab or rock her.

Bethany knew that in terms of actual experience in the ring she was lacking in comparison to her opponent, though the girl was confident that she could handle it by relying on her ability to have the crowd on her side and her array of dynamic acrobatics. But that was looking like it was getting thrown out the window right now, Tessa was keeping on the circus girl. A very wise decision given how the ground game wasn't Bethany's strong suit.

Still just because Bethany was in a situation that she didn't like didn't mean she was helpless, again that calmness under stress was going to come into play. Rather than try and combat the enemy on the ground the circus girl was going to try and get to the bottom rope.

That way Tessa would be forced to back away and allow Bethany to get back onto a vertical ground, however should her opponent be lucky enough to catch the young ringmaster Bethany would try to rock and shuffle about in an effort to get the enemy off. Because Ms Maroza knew that Tessa would have nothing good in store for the beautiful acrobat.
