Aisha vs. Abattoir - Two Days Notice

Abattoir shifted her weight to match her victim's movements, keeping up the pressure on Aisha while she glanced around the ring. There was more than enough plunder to keep the match going, at least. May as well make use of it.

"Mmm."

After a few more seconds, she hopped down, releasing the diva from her torment, and headed over to the lighttubes. A quick loosening of the duct tape followed, and each hand came back with a tube from the bundle. The overhead lights sent a little shimmer, as if of anticipation, down the length of the white glass as Abattoir meandered up to the halfway point of the ring.

To the surprise of the crowd, she dropped a tube on the mat in front of her, put a boot on it, and slid it over to the dazed Aisha. The other, gripped in her glove like a murderer's knife, remained where it was as she advanced.

It took far, far longer than Aisha would've liked, and she was sure the logo for whatever company Abattoir's boots belonged to was imprinted on her face, but she finally let up on the stomping after a few agonizing moments. Aisha knew that it was only a temporary reprieve, though. Abattoir was probably just going to get some more goodies, and then the real damage would start to rack up.

She didn't expect one of said goodies to literally wind up at her feet, though. She snapped out of her dazed state and quizzically looked at it, as realization set in - her opponent wanted to play a little game. Aisha didn't like being handed it just like that, but she liked the idea of having a lighttube busted over her head even less. Since it looked like that was what Abattoir was planning on for an endgame, she'd just have to play along.

...god damn it, there was going to be glass on the floor, soon. Aisha was really starting to wish she hadn't taken her shoes off.

She grabbed the lighttube with one hand and pulled herself back up with the other, getting back up her feet with a hard tug. As Abattoir stalked her way, she hurriedly stepped to the side with the lighttube held in front of her, taking things cautious and slow for the moment.  Her head was still swimming for a variety of reasons, and she didn't want to press her luck just yet.

Now things became very interesting indeed. Abattoir wasn't too worried as Aisha picked up the proffered lighttube - again, better a fight than a slaughter, after all, and besides, with the way she was dressed she'd be in much better shape from a tube across the back than Aisha would - and so she nodded approvingly.

They circled the ring, wary and rigid. For a tense moment, it was quiet as a gunfight in the Old West. Nobody was sure when the spasm of violence would begin. Even the crowd had fallen into a concerned murmur. Abattoir, of course, was having the time of her life - finally, somebody who'd engage with her on her terms. Credit where credit was due, she was starting to like this goofy overblown Hollywood type.

Not enough to keep her from striking, of course.

She leapt forward, brandishing the tube like a baseball bat, and launched a big roundhouse swing at Aisha's head. It had a lot of windup time and came out a little slower than she'd like, but the damage such a swing could inflict would be devastating!

They were circling again, but unlike last time where they'd only had their bodies to use as weapons, this time they were rolling with far more potent things. On one hand, Aisha had to give mad respect to Abattoir - girl liked it rough, but she wanted some challenge, couldn't hate on that. On the other hand, she was starting to become uncomfortable aware of the likelihood that she would be losing a good deal of blood in the foreseeable future. Not exactly something she was looking forward to.

She waited for Abattoir to make the first move, and it wasn't a long wait, at that - Aisha had just managed to catch her breath with the fiery-eyed fighter drove in to snatch it away once more. Judging from the way she was coming in, it was easy to guess what she was aiming for, but that wasn't the problem. Countering at this range with the lighttube would be messy for both of them, moreso for Aisha.

She did have an idea. It wasn't a good idea, but it was the best one she could think up in the space of a second, so it would have to do.

When the ligthtube came at her head, Aisha leaned back to dodge it and shot her foot out towards Abattoir's chest in the same motion, mimicking the move the nak muay had used on her only a few minutes ago to create some space. She did add one little bit of originality to it, though: as soon as Abattoir was pushed away, Aisha jumped forward, raised the lighttube up high, and tried to bring it down on her head with a vicious blow.

Truthfully, the giant swing of the lighttube had been kind of a mutually-assured destruction scenario. Either Aisha got clocked in the head, or she blocked instinctively with the lighttube, as most people would do, and there was an explosion of glass and she had a very bad time indeed.

Unfortunately for Abattoir, her opponent took Option 3 - None of the Above.

The teep was decent enough, as monkey-see-monkey-do went, and it more than served its purpose of redirecting the swing. The end of the lighttube narrowly missed Aisha's face, whizzing by fast enough that she could probably feel the breeze on her cheek, and Abattoir stumbled just long enough to take a giant overhand strike right on the top of her head. There was a burst of glass and phosphor dust, and a sharp pain in her scalp. Abattoir hit the mat face down, narrowly catching herself on one arm in her dazed status, then managed to roll off to one side and ended up half-under the ropes.

She hadn't been cut too badly, apparently - a trickle of blood wandered down the side of her forehead and streaked past one eye. Well, as long as it wasn't impairing her vision, all was well with the world. Uh, besides having just been smashed in the head, and the momentum shifting in Aisha's favor. Okay, maybe things weren't well at all.

The crisp sound of shattering glass, the smell of fresh phosphorous in the air, the sight of her broken opponent falling the mat in wretched pain...it was almost perfect. There was just one thing missing.

"HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!"

And there it went.

Aisha tossed what was left of the tube away and staggered back after the successful strike, almost falling flat on her her ass from the exertion and exhaustion. The crowd's chants were appreciated, and she really wished she could just take a moment to soak them up, but she couldn't. She saw a slight chance to end this match, and she was going to take it.

Aisha scampered over to Abattoir's fallen form, careful not to step on any glass. She kneeled down and grabbed Abattoir,  pulling her down flat on her back. Thanks to the match's nature, it wouldn't matter how close she was to the ropes - Aisha pulled her leg up and laid on her chest-to-chest, going for a pinfall.

The referee slid down beside them and started to count off. "1...!"

Well, this was kind of awesome, even considering the state of things.

Abattoir's head lolled to the side for a moment as the fans burst into a frenzy of appreciation, and she gazed blearily out at the sea of humanity. A tiny puddle of blood had started to form under her temple, and her eyes were wandering vacantly right up until Aisha pressed her flat and went in for the pin.

"Two!"

There were no rope breaks, but that advantage could go both ways! One arm shot up, grabbing the middle rope, and Abattoir used it to pull herself forcibly upright, breaking the pin. She pie-faced Aisha, shoving off her and using the momentum to roll out of the ring. Okay. Just a few seconds to recover, and she'd have her stamina back.

Aisha let out a feral scream when Abattoir broke the hold - there was a shining moment there when she really believed it was all over. Nope. There'd be plenty more pain to come.

She grabbed the ropes and pulled herself back up as Abattoir made her way out of the ring, seeking refuge on the outside. Aisha was honestly tempted to just let her, since she wasn't in the best of shapes herself. They both could use a little break. But after the hell Abattoir had put her through in such a short amount of time, it was becoming more and more clear that this wasn't some fresh-faced rookie she was dealing with. She was just as dangerous as anyone in the AFW, and if the Dancing Sistah didn't seize this chance to take her out, she might not get another one.

"Fuck it..." She looked to the other side of the ring as the audience began to clap, getting some idea of what she was thinking. Without another moment's hesitation, Aisha broke into a sprint across the ring, charging towards the ropes. She hopped over the pile of glass, hit the ropes, bounced back, hopped over the glass one more time, then ducked down and shot her legs out, letting the momentum carry her under the ropes with her bare feet heading straight towards Abattoir. A baseball slide dropkick.

Pacing was important in any match, particularly for Abattoir, who had a history of punching herself out a little earlier than she wanted and then losing a lot of her relentless advantage. She took a second to relax a bit on the outside, breathing evenly and getting re-centered. There was some blood, but there'd usually been blood - nothing to get worked up over.

She was just about to turn back to the ring when the crowd's rhythmic clapping let her know exactly what was coming. Abattoir had just enough time to glance over her shoulder and see Aisha dashing towards her, and regardless of whether it was going to be a slide or a suicide dive, there was one universal counter that never failed - getting the hell out of the way.

It was a slide, which was a bit disappointing (Aisha eating shit on a dive would've brought a grin to her face), but as both legs zipped past her at a speed that would've knocked her head off her shoulders, Abattoir grabbed the diva's ankles and gave her a good yank, trying to forcibly drag her out under the bottom rope and send her to the floor mats with a thud.

Aisha saw Abattoir moving out of the way as she went sliding, and she thanked her lucky stars that she hadn’t followed her first impulse and went for a dive. That would’ve been horrendously ugly.

The good thing about the baseball slide was that it had a backup plan - Aisha grabbed hold of the bottom rope as she came flying out of the ring, and it stopped her from falling to the floor like a dumbass. The bad thing about the baseball slide was that it left her wide open after she missed, something Abattoir could easily exploit. Which she did.

”Nononoshit-” Aisha grabbed onto the ropes for dear life and struggled as Abattoir pulled her, but that only made things worse. She wound up hanging from the ropes, stretched out between Abattoir and the ring for one terrifying moment, right before her hands slipped off and she came down right on her back, hitting the floor like a puppet with cut strings. The mats didn’t absorb nearly enough of the impact for her tastes, and she laid there, strung out on the floor, scrunching her face tight as she tried to cope with the pain.
