Match of the Day

Since I've gotten back into wrestling a lot more over the past few months, I've started a little ritual - basically, at some point during the day, typically before work, I go online and try to find at least one good match to watch while I'm getting cleaned up.

I thought it would be neat to maybe make sort of a daily topic out of it - partly for me to go back and look over sometime in the future, but also so others might enjoy them. I encourage others to post their favorites here, too.

Shinsuke's a fucking global treasure.  He's all banged up to shit apparently and probably won't be around too much longer so I try to appreciate him while he's around to be 1) better at wrestling than most people and 2) insanely hot

I just got into pro wrestling about a year ago, I'm mostly an MMA person so a lot of my tastes kinda gravitate towards that crossover point between the two that Japanese federations tend to have.  As such I watch a lot of old UWFi and BattlARTS.  This one's from the latter, and it has Alexander Otsuka which was super weird for me to see because, like, I mostly remember him fighting Rampage and Wanderlei so seeing him do worked stuff was like when you're a kid and you see your teacher at the store or something, it's totally out of the context you're used to



I think I might be kind of a wrestling hipster but I promise it's just because I don't know as much as i should about the sport yet

Shinsuke is so not so hot, unless I'm missing something huge.
