AVQ: Rui Aozaki Vs. Etzlicoatl

"S-sola... Hummwhatzit...?" Rui mumbled semi-incoherently, in a bit of a daze after that fall. Feeling Etzlicoatl press down against her chest forced a soft moan from the bluish-green haired girl's lips, as she shifted her body a little in discomfort.

"ONE!"

Rui's eyes suddenly shot wide open as she realized the position she was in.

"TWO!"

Now wide awake, she quickly pushed herself up, forcing the dark-skinned Latina off of her as she broke the pin. "W-whoops... Almost had me there again... Etsu-chan..." Rui panted, trying to push herself away, dragging her rear along the canvas.

For the first two seconds, Etzlicoatl dared to hope she had this one in the bag, and then Rui shoved her off and it was all for nothing. A bitter frustration seethed inside the luchadora as she took a second, breathing hard, to try to regain some of her stamina. So close!

Before she knew it, Rui had managed to scoot halfway across the ring, clearly trying to get some space and recover. Etzli's frustration manifested itself as outright aggression, and she staggered up to her feet and rushed over to intercept the escaping girl. "Don't....don't try to evade me...." she panted, seizing Rui by an arm. "None shall escape the...why is the room spinning..."

Despite her exhaustion, she had more than enough energy to try for an irish whip into the corner.

Thinking she had enough space, Rui started to scramble back to her feet, however Etzli seemed to still have quite a good bit of fight left in her, as she quickly closed the gap between them. Jerked up the rest of the way by her arm, the busty wrestler didn't have much chance to react before her Latina foe suddenly whipped her towards the nearest corner.

Not wanting to avoid suffering too many more hits to her back, Rui managed to twist her body around, throwing her arms out in front of her to try and catch herself. Though she managed to grab onto the ropes and lessen the impact, her rather protruding chest still smacked into the turnbuckle somewhat hard. Letting out a loud yelp, the bluish-green haired girl was briefly distracted by the pain, leaving her back wide open to whatever Etzli had in mind next.

Etzlicoatl was in control for the moment, but her grip on the situation was tenuous at best, especially since she was worn out. Trying to take advantage, she charged across the ring and leapt into the air, trying for a gigantic splash in the corner up against Rui's back.

The element of surprise was not on her side, given that she let out a bellowing war-cry that lasted all the way across the ring, but the effort was there.

Even if she wasn't facing that way, the pounding footsteps and the intimidating roar told Rui exactly what was coming her way. With various parts of her body still aching, she definitely did not want to be on the receiving end of many more heavy moves, if she could help it. Without much time to think, the busty wrestler went with her first instinct: pushing off the ropes and trying to dive to the mat, praying to get out of the way in time.

The splash had some serious air to it; Etzlicoatl possessed an impressive vertical leap, something that'd served her well in her lucha career. Had it connected, especially considering Rui's back wasn't in the best shape at the moment, the attack would've been devastating.

It didn't connect, though. Forewarned, the buxom grappler had the foresight to dive to one side, and Etzli splashed right into the turnbuckles. It was a couple stops short of being in a car wreck, as far as impact went, and she actually blacked out for a second over the course of colliding with - and then bouncing off - the top turnbuckle.

When she came to a few seconds later, she was on her knees, leaning over the middle turnbuckle like a pillow and looking like she'd just been hit by a truck. "Wha....?"

While she evaded the crushing blow, Rui hasty escape caused her to hit the canvas pretty hard, grunting pretty loudly from the impact. "Ghhhhk...!"

Groaning she grabbed back on to the nearby ropes, slowly pulling herself back up to her feet, while Etzli was still shaking off her own rough landing. Seeing she still had the chance to turn things around, the busty girl pushed herself forwards, hoping to capitalize while she still could. Both of them seemed pretty worn out by this point, and one way or another it looked like things were going to end soon.

Coming right up behind Etzlicoatl, Rui would try to wrap her arms around the gilr's slender waist and lift her a bit further upright. It was probably pretty risky at this point, but if she could land this and her back could hold out, it would really shift things in her favor. Planting her feet down as hard as she could, the bluish-green haired wrestler attempted to heave her Latina foe up and back, aiming for yet another German Suplex that she could bridge into a pin.

One second, she was staring at a turnbuckle wondering why her memory of the last few minutes had disappeared; and the next second, Etzlicoatl was gripped and flying once again.

She fought Rui all the way up, to her credit, kicking and squirming and thrashing in a desperate effort not to get dropped on her shoulders again. Logically, if the luchadora could make herself more of a pain to lift, perhaps her enemy's back would give out halfway through the suplex or something similar. As it turned out, she was...kinda sorta right, but not in a way that was particularly comforting - despite her efforts, Etzli could feel Rui gritting through the pain and heaving her upwards anyway, and the next thing she knew, she was crashing into the mat.

She'd managed to be enough of a problem that it was impossible to stay bridged, though, and this saved her from getting pinned - fortunate, since the match would surely have been over. Heaving for breath, so dizzy she could barely figure out which way was up, and as wild-eyed as one of her jaguar warrior ancestors, Etzlicoatl pulled away from the downed Rui and began to drag herself bodily across the ring on her hands, heading straight for the ropes. It was agony, given the pounding her shoulders and sides had taken over the course of the match, but there was no choice!

It was all adrenaline now. If she couldn't get there and hit one of her famous flying attacks, she was as good as dead.

Though Rui was able to lift her opponent up and into the suplex, her frantic squirming caused her to screw up of the bridge, accidentally twisting her back at an awkward angle. "Nnggaaaah!" Gasping out in pain, the busty wrestler had no choice but to release Etzli, instead squirming uncomfortably as she lay there on the canvas, momentarily helpless.

Rui wasn't up quite yet. This was it. This was her chance.

Etzlicoatl had been about to go for a springboard attack, but with the other girl down for the moment, she saw her opportunity to tear the heart out of her foe, and she was going for it. Reaching up, she grabbed both top ropes at the corner and vaulted herself up onto turnbuckle, facing the crowd - she stumbled for a moment and nearly went down due to exhaustion, but managed to keep herself upright.

For all she knew, Rui was probably working on getting back up by now. She had to move quickly. Etzli spread her arms, took a deep breath, whispered 'Watch me, divine hurler of darts," and threw herself off the top rope towards Rui in a twisting corkscrew moonsault.

It was poetry in motion, and for a moment, the arena held its collective breath.
