I feel the same way. I don't really get it either, but there's always a very noticeable female reaction when either of them show up. They make the girls swoon.

I actually feel like Roman would be waaaaay better as a heel, but that will never happen for obvious reasons. Whatever Roman is, though, he needs help. Not really a manager or a valet, and not even necessarily a tag team partner, he just sort of needs to be in a faction. That's where he can do his best work IMO.

Roman has face heat. Only smarks still hate him now. The majority of the universe (especially girls) pop pretty hard for him. He's got dem Randy Orton pheromones.

Not controversial right now, but wait until WWE enters Cena into the WWE championship again and you´ll see the sympathy for him melt away like a snowball in the mojave desert. You surely remember how Michael Cole and Lawler tried in vain to sell Cena to the audience with words like "controversial" and "Bizarroland" some time ago? This is exactly what is going to happen again to him if he is put against a guy people really like. I can live with Cena is long as it is not the John Cena featuring Raw show, so when I can fast forward him and his antics and still see a good show I am ok with him. He´s reasonably good in the ring and a good talker with horrible stuff to talk about most of the time, so I can´t say I want him out of the show in any way. He can even beat the record of Flair as far as I am concerned, he deserves it for being pushed so tirelessly by the WWE, but please no more 45+ minutes of Cena on RAW.^^

Reigns should indeed have a manager or something, like Heyman talks for Lesnar. A weasely guy like Xavier Woods would be nice, or a classic Heyman type of manager. It could be way worse guys than him for the new face of the WWE. Bo Dallas comes to mind, I feared that WWE wanted to make Cena 3.0 out of him(Sheamus was 2.0) when he was still in NXT, but now he´s great in his role. Ryback has improved, but him as face of the WWE would also not have been pretty.

and he'll still get the biggest pop in the arena, even against someone else's guy.

And Cesaro looks like he should be in a spy flick, and yet he's not the one with the rocket strapped to him.

I'm at least partly making this up but I feel like the issue with Cesaro is probably that he's so universally appealing (he's got physical charisma, is great at wrestling, has a cool accent, speaks a bunch of languages) that they assume he'll always be over no matter what and as such he's basically stuck in situations where they're always trying to get his heat to rub off on somebody else

Cesaro's biggest problem is his almost total lack of charisma. And he may have an accent, but he also rarely speaks. And when he does, it's generally nothing special. I can't think of a single promo he's ever done that really sticks out for any particular reason.

I hate saying that because he's easily one of my favorites in WWE. But the dude could put on a 5-star match with a broom, and the broom would have more charisma.
