Re: Ayaka Kurata Vs Kimmy Colton - Ayaka's Debut!
Ayaka had to take a moment to take everything around her in. She had fought in loud crowded places before, but nothing seemed to come close to this place. The crowd was pretty much roaring, and in one way it was almost disorientating as the sound reverberated off the arena walls. It was something that Ayaka was certainly going to have to get used to. For the moment, things didn't seem to great for her now. Kimmy had made a valid point. She seemed to have bled well to easy. Maybe Kimmy had just gotten lucky and managed to strike her in the nose at just the right angle. It still throbbed like hell though as was going to cost her in the morning.
Right now though, she was in trouble. It didn't matter which way you looed at it, Ayaka was against the ropes. Back in her street fighting days, having your back against the wall pretty much spelled game over. As Kimmy got to her feet, Ayaka started to formulate a plan. Kimmy didn't give her much time, as soon as she had risen she began to close the distance between them, arms out stretched. At first, Ayaka wanted to grab the arms. Use them as a stabilising platform so that she could throw her knee upwards. Something about that felt wrong though, almost as if she was going to end up playing into Kimmy's hands. Instead, Ayaka had a much more evil plan.
Ayaka would let Kimmy get closer and close, waiting until she was just about as close as she could get. WhenKimmy attpemt her move, Ayaka pulled off hers, ducking down to avoid Kimmy and spinning off the side so she was practically next to Kimmy. Ayaka would grin as she grabbed onto Kimmy's shoulder and right arm. Holding tight before throwing her forward, the plan was to aim Kimmy at the ropes. Except rather than have her bounce off the ropes, Ayaka had attempted to aim it so that she went between the ropes and out of the ring altogether.
"Mind the step Kimmy! Ohhhh that's gotta hurt. I tried to warn you?" Ayaka grinned. Payback felt good. While it wouldn't have drawn blood. Falling down at the speed and height from the ring would have to hurt just as much, if not more. It also gave Ayaka precious time to recover from that nose punch. "You do know you will lose if you stay out there right? Though if I was you? I would run away up that ramp before you take anymore damage"

Re: Ayaka Kurata Vs Kimmy Colton - Ayaka's Debut!
Frustratingly, though Ayaka had only just been reeling and leaning back against the ropes for support, she managed to summon up enough energy to counter Kimmy's hair mare attempt as soon as the Brooklynite attempted it. Kimmy's fingers slid across the uppermost tufts of Ayaka's hair, not finding an actual hold, as her opponent spun to the side and got her back away from the ropes.
"Guh, get back here—" Kimmy would growl, before Ayaka managed to grab onto her arm and shoulder and shove her hard forward before Kimmy could do anything to counter it. Ayaka, it seemed, wanted to throw Kimmy right between the ropes and launch her out of the ring. A couple of things were working on Kimmy's favor in this unfortunate turn, thankfully: first, there was the simple fact that Ayaka only had a couple of feet to build up speed as she chucked Kimmy out of the ring, so that it was less of a launch and more of an awkward tumble. That could even actually be worse for Kimmy, but, thankfully, she had good reflexes.
The New York blonde went out headfirst, one leg catching on a rope and causing her body to suddenly twist around, her chin smacking against the side of the ring and rattling her teeth. But as her feet came out from between the ropes and she began to fall freely, Kimmy would tuck her upper body in and roll, doing a somersault as she fell, one which got her feet under her right as she hit the floor. The soles of her feet came down at a little awkward angle, and her ankle began to buckle, still hurting from the kick it had sustained earlier. But Kimmy grabbed onto the ringside and hoisted herself back up. After a few seconds, her legs stopped hurting so much. They began to feel nice and loose once again, and Kimmy would shake out the injured leg a little just to be sure.
Ayaka was taunting her from inside the ring, and Kimmy rolled her eyes. This girl really enjoyed running her mouth. And she was really annoying. It was getting Kimmy a little worked up, and it was stressing her out some. She was glad that Valley Doll had been her first AFW opponent, and not this self-important bitch. "You talk a lot of shit to cover up how scared you are, huh?" Kimmy would ask, as she first made her way about halfway around the ring, and then would hop back up onto the ring apron. She slid herself in between the ropes and immediately got down into a grappling stance, waiting for Ayaka to try something.

Re: Ayaka Kurata Vs Kimmy Colton - Ayaka's Debut!
While Ayaka had won the throw, and gotten Kimmy out of the ring, It wasn't with the force she had originally hoped for. Nevertheless it was still a throw and it bought Ayaka enough time to get ready and recover from the punch to the face, which was still throbbing and irritating her like crazy. Listening to Kimmy, Ayaka scoffed.
"Please, I will be fine. It is you who should be worried. Tell me... How is your ankle doing?" Ayaka grinned as Kimmy began to climb back into the ring. While Ayaka was tempted to attack while she was climbing in, Ayaka resisted. Not out of honour or anything, but more out of knowing that Kimmy was weary and would most likely counter it in some way. Once Kimmy was fully in the ring, Ayaka noticed that she had already gotten into a grappling stance. Not good. It signalled that Kimmy wanted to go to the canvas again, and last time that happed, Ayaka nearly had her nose broken.
"Let me guess, wanna grapple and go to the canvas again? Why don't you grow up and fight like a proper woman!" Ayaka went back into her street fighting stance, fists back up to her head almost. Closing the distance between the two, Ayaka was cautious. She knew Kimmy could realistically dive at her currently and she would have pretty much no defence to counter with. If Ayaka was able to make it close enough to Kimmy without getting taken out, Ayaka would lash out with a high kick aimed at the jaw. If the kick worked, Ayaka was hoping to use the kick as an excuse to rapidly close the gap between them and throw another punch in the gut. Hopefully at the exact same spot as before, just to rub it in more.

Re: Ayaka Kurata Vs Kimmy Colton - Ayaka's Debut!
"My ankle?" Kimmy would repeat contemptuously, as if completely ignorant of what Ayaka could be referring to. Her ankle was hurting, but not so much that it would slow her down. Not yet, anyway. "My whole body's fine, bitch. How's your nose, huh?" she would add, shooting right back at Ayaka and smirking as she did. She knew that when it came to mocking each other's injuries, she had the definite upper hand right now. When she hopped back into the ring, she cracked her knuckles, then quickly got back down into a grappling stance. It was time to get back to work.
Kimmy had to admit that she found it difficult not to just get into a war of kicks and punches with Ayaka. Kimmy had always considered herself a skilled striker, and when all her opponent seemed to want to do was slug it out, Kimmy was sorely tempted to go along with it. But Ayaka was taller by about two inches, and therefore had a longer reach. And if she was the street fighter that she claimed to be, it would mean that she had all sorts of tricks up her sleeve for when a fight took a turn for the nasty. No, it was best not to tempt it. Get her down on the mat, Kimmy. Put her in a Brooklyn Crab, and she'll be just like a fish out of water, Kimmy would say to herself.
As Ayaka came at her, Kimmy watched her closely. She saw the leg begin to swing upwards, and, smoothly, she brought her hands up to block the kick from hitting her in the face. She deflected her foe's boot easily away, but she would not get her hands down in time to protect against the gut punch. Well, fine. She tightened her abs and took the blow like a woman. It hurt, but she knew that she could take it. Kimmy had taken worse gut punches a hundred times. Still, she winced, and thought about the bruise that would be forming in that spot soon.
"My turn," Kimmy growled. She would make as if to lunge at Ayaka, trying to get the girl to flinch. Then, she would lift up her leg and swing it right at Ayaka's midsection, wanting to trade a gut attack for a gut attack again as she slammed her booted foot into Ayaka's bare tummy. With any luck, it would back Ayaka up some, as well. Kimmy would then pull a move out of her wrestling playbook. She would spring backwards, rushing back until she put herself against the ropes, then used them as a slingshot to run forward again, sticking out an arm and aiming to clothesline Ayaka right down onto the canvas!

Re: Ayaka Kurata Vs Kimmy Colton - Ayaka's Debut!
Kimmy sure did seem to be persistent. Usually in a street fight after a couple of strikes the fight was practically decided and turned into a beating rather than a fight. Here though, Kimmy kept coming back with the comebacks. What annoyed Ayaka was that Kimmy was right. Ayaka had taken the worst of it with her nose and unfortunately for Ayaka it was going to get worse. To start with it seemed her kick had failed. Kimmy was too fast, able to predict the attack before it happened. So no damage there then. The only consolation was that her gut punch had found it's mark. That had to hurt, even of Kimmy was trying to avoid showing it.
Ayaka wasn't really ready for Kimmy's counter attack. It seemed that Kimmy was going to lunge forward. While it didn't make Ayaka flinch, it did force her guard up, allowing the midsection kick to hit. While Ayaka had already been hit there before, it didn't make the attack hurt any less. While the kick caused her to wince and growl as the booted foot dug in, it didn't break her or make her give up. The most concerning thing about the kick was the amount of pushback force it contained. It was almost as if Kimmy was deliberately trying to knock her back. If that was Kimmy's intention it had worked. The kick had caused Ayakea to take three strides back, positioning her roughly in the centre of the ring.
While Ayaka was recovering from the knockback, Kimmy kept up the assault. Ayaka was too distracted by getting her footing right that she failed to notice that Kimmy was rushing towards her with speed. By the time she noticed it was too late, and Kimmy's arm had smashed into her with a nasty clothesline. Thankfully it wasn't critical. Thanks to Ayaka's height advantage, Kimmy would struggle to clothesline the throat. Instead, the clothesline hit just below her chest, hitting her lower ribs. At first, she thought her ribs had been broken, the force of the clothesline smashing her down onto the canvas with a thud and a crash. Right now, her whole body was hurting, front and back. Ayaka tried to bounce right back up by pushing her legs against the canvas. While her legs were responding, her upper body failed and left her struggling.
"Damn...Bitch!" Ayaka growled between her gritted teeth. Right now she was vulnerable, and she didn't like being vulnerable. It put her in trouble. With very limited counter attack options while she was pretty much stunned, left her essentially at Kimmy's mercy.

Re: Ayaka Kurata Vs Kimmy Colton - Ayaka's Debut!
This match was one that was really wearing on Kimmy, and she had the feeling that it wasn't going to last nearly as long as her fight with Valley Doll had. That one had been a strategic struggle, two experienced wrestlers trading carefully-crafted moves and generally trying to outwit each other and find the right formula for victory. There would be no formula for victory here. This was the sort of match where you just had to smash your calculator with your fist a few times and hope that whatever it spit out was a close enough approximation of the proper formula that you seized that win. This was more of a brawl than a wrestling match. But Kimmy was going to force Ayaka to recognize which of them was the superior fighter by utilizing both strength and skill.
There was no way that the Japanese girl, relying on blunt force as she was, was going to win. Kimmy might be bloody by the end of it, but she was going to come out on top.
Kimmy first delivered on the strength aspect of her jury-rigged "formula" for victory, as she smacked her foot right into Ayaka's midsection, forcing her foe to double over briefly and move backwards. Ayaka didn't take it any less gracefully than Kimmy had, but that was okay. The next part was going to really get her. The clothesline. Kimmy bounced off the ropes and rebounded towards Ayaka, hoping that her opponent was still stunned and wouldn't be able to block or dodge. This could end very badly for Kimmy if that was the case.
There is a reason that Al never wanted me to use moves like this... Kimmy would admit, as she would stretch out her arm as she sprinted towards Ayaka at top speed.
Kimmy's arm struck a little lower than one might like, but that was okay. It had the same effect on Ayaka that Kimmy had desired. The high risk attack reaped high reward, as Kimmy's foe slammed down onto the canvas on her back, landing with a loud thud and causing the purple-haired girl to let loose a stream of expletives at Kimmy. The Brooklyn native smirked as she would immediately go to transition to her next move. Ayaka's legs were still kicking, while her upper body was still. Kimmy, then, would go after the legs.
She would grab onto one of Ayaka's legs and hoist it up, spinning to bend it at just the right awkward angle. Gathering up Ayaka's other leg, Kimmy would then fall back, landing on her back on the canvas, hoping to lock in a figure four leglock which should cause her purple-haired foe some real trouble!

Re: Ayaka Kurata Vs Kimmy Colton - Ayaka's Debut!
Ayaka was now out of her comfort zone. Street fights rarely involved slamming, and the clothesline had been the most brutal move she had ever had used against her. Hitting the mat made her back ache, but it made getting up even harder. No matter how hard she tried she just couldn't get herself off the canvas. But the next move was about to make things an awful lot worse for her.
Getting pulled into the figure four leg lock was extremely painful. Her legs hurt right away as Kimmy put more and more pressure, pulling tighter and tighter. "Damn... You bitch... Let go!" Ayaka would struggle as much as she could, but with no wrestling experience she was as good as trapped. Groaning and writhing she would try to sit up, ignoring the throbbing pains in her back and her abs. It seemed those two gut hits had really started to catch up with her. On her first attempt she failed to sit up, falling back onto the canvas as she could feel the pressure building up in her legs, the pain getting heavier and heavier.
On the second attempt, Ayaka was able to sit up, the only thing she could do was to do yet another gut punch to the female. All she wanted to do was do enough damage to Kimmy to get her to let go. This leglock was killing her. "Go away scumbag! Let me go before I punch through your gut!"

Re: Ayaka Kurata Vs Kimmy Colton - Ayaka's Debut!
Ayaka didn't seem to enjoy going down to the canvas to fight very much at all. So on top of that, Kimmy was going to put her in a leglock and see how she reacted. Ayaka wouldn't be able to punch her or kick her the way she wanted, and Kimmy had a feeling that she was going to hear some pretty sweet cries of pain from the Japanese brawler in just a few seconds. She weaved their legs together and then fell back, grabbing Ayaka's leg and eliciting a pained exclamation from her foe.
Ayaka was groaning and writhing, struggling in the leglock, as Kimmy would put some pressure on the captured leg of her purple-haired foe, bending it a little more to try to add some more pain. Her own ankle was still tweaking her, causing her some trouble after the hard kick that it took right at the beginning of the match, and so she was going to make sure that Ayaka's legs were even worse, and would hopefully only barely be able to support her weight once she had gotten back on her feet—if she got back on her feet at all. Kimmy was going to keep Ayaka in this hold as long as she could, and would be happy to accept the street fighter's submission if she offered it.
Ayaka tried to sit up, but failed, her gut obviously paining her. Kimmy's gut hurt, too. Their exchange of bombs right into each other's bare midsections had obviously taken a toll on both of the wrestlers. And that was what Ayaka was going to count on, it seemed, as she managed to get up into a seated position, and then throw another punch into Kimmy's gut. Kimmy made an awkward wrenching, heaving sound, but she held onto Ayaka's leg, bending it more with her hand and flexing her leg, trying to threaten Ayaka with the possibility of that leg being rendered unusable for the rest of the match at the same time that Ayaka was threatening her with gut punching.
"Try it, bitch!" Kimmy would fire back. "Try it and see if it helps you! 'Cause trying to hop around on one leg sure won't be good for ya! Just tap out, huh?"

Re: Ayaka Kurata Vs Kimmy Colton - Ayaka's Debut!
Throwing a gut punch back at Kimmy didn't work this time. While she could hear the grunting from Kimmy, it seemed that she wasn't yet ready to give up on letting go. This proved to be a massive disappointment for Ayaka, and a painful one too. While Ayaka would never like to admit it, this hold was destroying her. Her leg was throbbing in pain as it had been bent in such an awkward way. She was getting to the point where she could feel the energy being sapped from the leg. If this carried on for much longer, Ayaka was going to be in serious danger of being made incapable for the rest of the match.
"I am not tapping out bitch!" Ayaka gritted through her teeth as she lay back down, her gut telling her to rest. "I would rather die than forcefully surrender to a stinking little bitch like you!" In reality though, there wasn't an awful lot she could do now. Until Kimmy gave up on the hold, which she wasn't going to do to, Ayaka was trapped, writhing around for an escape. In a last ditch attempt to rebalance the odds in her favour, Ayake would rise back up, sitting down and this time would throw another punch, this one more awkward than the last. Rather than aiming for the Gut, Ayaka twisted her arm to try and reach Kimmy's ankle. Which was risky. If Kimmy worked out what she was doing, there was nothing stopping Kimmy from moving Ayaka's leg and forcing her to punch herself.

Re: Ayaka Kurata Vs Kimmy Colton - Ayaka's Debut!
Kimmy could feel her gut protesting the continuation of the hold, especially with Ayaka's standing threat that she would punch a hole straight through Kimmy's gut should the Brooklyn Bruiser continue to apply the torturous leglock. But no matter what Ayaka said, Kimmy was not about to let go of her. She could tell how much pain Ayaka was in, and how out of her comfort zone she actually was. The Japanese brawler was not familiar with this kind of fighting, and it was going to be a long, hard slog for her to try to get back into this fight if she allowed Kimmy to set the pace and the tone!
That was what Kimmy was hoping. She needed to be able to decide what sort of match this was going to be. If she couldn't do that, then she might be in trouble—the same sort of trouble that she was looking to put Ayaka into right now. It was a battle of two contrasting styles, and what style proved to be the dominant string going through the match would go a long way towards determining the victor.
The match was quickly getting more heated, and the trash talk back and forth was becoming more and more vitriolic. Kimmy wanted to sigh and give this bitch a talking to about sportsmanship and manners. But she knew that it would be like the pot calling the kettle black. Kimmy could be just as nasty if her opponent gave her reason to be. If anything, her cordial match with the venerable Valley Doll may have been the aberration rather than the rule. "Yeah, you will! You will tap! Just...do it!" Kimmy would insist, continuing to put pressure on Ayaka's leg, seeing the purple-haired girl winding up for another punch as she did. Kimmy braced herself and tightened her abs for another hard impact.
But Kimmy's assumption turned out to be wrong. Ayaka wasn't aiming for her gut—she was aiming for her ankle. The punch hit the hard, bony part of Kimmy's ankle, and the Brooklynite was sure that it must have hurt Ayaka's hand as it connected, too. It sure did hurt Kimmy's ankle. "Gaaaannngh! What the hell!?" Kimmy would cry out loudly, surprise causing her to loosen her hold on Ayaka's leg for a few seconds as suddenly the pressure created by the knotting of their limbs was making her additionally-wounded ankle hurt more, too.
