Hayasui Koridae Vs Rachel Carin- Hardcore POW Debut!

The hit landed, and Rachel's heart lifted that much for the little victory she had earned. But the fire in the other girl's eyes had dimmed at all, and she was starting to take a defensive stance, while commenting on Rachel's fighting "style." That wasn't good at all. This was already starting to remind her of the fight with Amy, which wasn't a good thing. It wasn't the worst thing, but really, if something reminded her of just about any of these fights she'd been in, there was something to be worried about. Pretty much the only fights in her life she could afford to be reminded of were the fights with her dad, and that's just because her dad knew when to stop.

Still, with that in mind, she wasn't going to get a better chance to make her own move than this. Sure, it was totally a trap, and would probably end pretty poor for her, but she figured it was still a better opportunity than when she was getting pummeled into a pulp. So, taking a few steps forward again, she reached out to grab Hayasui's shoulders once more, hoping to drive her own knee into the other girl's stomach, see how she likes it.

Hayasui allowed a smirk as the girl rushed in, grabbing her by the shoulders. She offered no resistance as her opponent pulled her down, already bringing her arms down to block the expected knee. Pushing it to the side, Hayasui would attempt to break free of the hold by slamming both palms into Rachel's chest. If she could manage this, Hayasui would take a step back of her own to settle back into a Kenpo stance, awaiting Rachel's next move.

If nothing else, this girl knows how to take a hit and keep going. Her defensive techniques leave something to be desired, though.

Rachel winced as her attack was so easily deflected, a pair of well-placed palms sticking her right in the chest in retaliation. Between the impact and having one foot in the air, the counter easily knocked her back on to her ass, coughing and clutching the point of impact. She took a second to recuperate as her opponent set herself up defensively again. At this rate, they were just making the slow route to her defeat, and really, if Rachel was going to lose again she at least wanted it to be quick. There had to be something she could do, something she had that this girl didn't-

And then she remembered exactly what she was complaining about prior to the match. Another hardcore match. Well, the thought didn't feel good, especially if this girl was new, but trying the same plan of attack over and over wasn't going to get Rachel anywhere, and if she could squeeze out a win for once, that would probably feel just fine. With that thought in mind, she climbed to her feet, but rather than heading for Hayasui, she sprinted the opposite direction, slipping through the ropes and onto the floor beside the mat in one swift motion.

Hayasui watched in minor surprise as her counterattack managed to take Rachel off her feet. She hadn't thought the strike was quite that hard. Of course, the girl made her way to her feet, a bit slowly this time. Instead of the expected charge, however, Rachel proceeded to run away from her. Hayasui's stance relaxed as she watched the girl sprint to the edge a slide out under the ropes and onto the floor beside the mat in one smooth motion.

...the hell is she doing?

Wary of any possible tricks, Hayasui decided to watch her opponent, backpedaling back to the other side of the mat as she did so, resting up again the ropes.

"Umm...what are you doing? Aren't we going to be fighting?"

Rachel couldn't help but feel like the organizers of these matches were a bunch of sick fucks when she got to the end of the mat, the weapons she was looking for practically spilling out from beneath the canvas. A little lift of the curtain and she had her pick of the litter: aluminum bats, chains, kendo sticks and... ah, her old friend, the steel chair. What times they had together. Well, most of those times left her as a bloody heap on the floor, but it'd do the trick, and that's really the point.

Pulling the chair out from under the canvas, she rolled back onto the mat with it in hand, subconsciously letting out an evil chuckle as she did. Climbing to her feet, she raised the weapon to a striking position, looked at her enemy, and-

...She couldn't do this. Looking at that sweet kid's face, even if it meant she'd suffer another beating, she didn't want to be the one giving this girl the harsh welcome she got. If she was able to deliver some damage back with her own hands, that'd be one thing, but in any other match this would be considered cheating, and for good reason. She couldn't use this thing to beat the other girl down like that. Instead, she simply stood partway across the mat, frozen in thought, her would-be weapon raised.

Hayasui's eyes widened at the sight of the steel chair, the first jolt of-

No. I am not afraid. Not of this.

While Hayasui loved martial arts as a whole, she'd always hated training for encounters against armed opponents, especially when she wasn't armed as well. It was like a painful game of tag, only the other person would always tag her first if she didn't approach correctly.

Hayasui's eyes narrowed at the realization that the girl had frozen up as well, the chair held up in striking position but Rachel too far to strike. Her momentary fit of not-fear was quickly forgotten as she realized that her opponent might actually be taking pity on her.

"Either you're taking pity on me," Hayasui said, an edge of anger present in her voice, "Or you'd rather this fight be more even."

Her training screamed at her to acquire a weapon as well, but her anger was what drove her in this moment. Hayasui would attempt to rush forward, watching carefully for chair as she would try for a hard shot to the body, this time hard by her own standards.

As Hayasui approached, Rachel's mind and body were conflicted, shaking in an intense internal struggle. Every part of her instincts were screaming to just let her arms drop, to bring the chair down. That's all it would take to be safe, but the conscious side of her mind battled inch for metaphorical inch to keep from hitting this girl in the face with a steel chair. She didn't want to get hit, no, but she wasn't going to give in to her first instinct of bashing her opponent over the head with a weapon.

Unfortunately, all this internal conflict resolved in no movement at all, and when Hayasui's fist collided with her gut again, it collided hard. Between the speed and the sheer strength this girl had punched with, Rachel found herself knocked off her feet, the steel chair collapsing out of her hands, her eyes shot wide open. As she hit the mat, she couldn't do much more than curl up around the point of impact, gurgling and wheezing as she fought to regain her composure before Hayasui failed to show her the same mercy.

Hayasui's surprise when Rachel didn't even make a move to bring the chair down was soon replaced by yet more anger. Not even the sight of Rachel collapsing from the body blow, the chair dropping from her hands as she curled up around the point of impact, cooled Hayasui's temper even slightly. Then the girl took another look at the chair, then back at Rachel. The chair looked to be a rather unwieldy weapon, but Hayasui took it up nonetheless.

"I believe I warned you earlier about holding back," Hayasui said, as she approached Rachel.

With that, she'd attempt to bring the chair down flat on Rachel's back, deciding to give her stomach a break for now. As angry as she was right now, Hayasui wasn't that vicious, and hoped she never would.

Rachel didn't have much time to recuperate from the heavy body blow, as she could just sense the mistake of dropping that chair. For the moment, though, she didn't have the strength to do much more than roll around in the fetal position, her arms clasped around her stomach. By the time she finally gained some composure, she rolled over to her front, climbing to her hands and knees... just in time to be flattened by the chair she had left behind. The old boy was just as heavy and painful as she remembered, and the blow left her sprawled out face-first onto the mat, her spine arched slightly backwards in a vain attempt to dull the pain.

Hayasui's expression was cold as Rachel lay face-down before her, her back completely open. Were she in a more merciful mood right now, she could try ending things with a sleeper. However, Hayasui quickly decided she hadn't worn Rachel down enough to attempt that yet.

When she'd signed up for this place, Hayasui had researched various submission holds. Unfortunately, her own desire to learn about her opponents only in an actual fight with them left her rather wanting in terms of finding a training partner. One of her pre-match rituals had involved refreshing her knowledge of these holds, and Hayasui decided that now would be an excellent time to try.

With that in mind, the girl decided for something simple, reaching down to try to grab Rachel's legs and tuck them under her arms. If she could manage this, she'd turn the girl over and try to sit back, intending to work her back some more with a Boston Crab.
