Whine and Cheesed Off!

Allie shivered as the warm hair wrapped around her. She loved Syd's hair, but there was no comfort while Syd used it to hold her in place and Allie stared at Syd's lips as she spoke. Her heart raced and she opened and closed her fists until Syd went back to her bed like nothing as wrong.

She was silent for a long moment as the show played for nearly a minute. Finally Allie shook her head and stamped her foot down petulantly. "You're going to the damn ballgame and that's final!"

Allie stormed out of Syd's room and slammed the door behind her.

Syd used her focus on the TV to block out Allie's tirade, even as she slammed her door shut. She was perfectly safe in her own head as long as her mind was elsewhere. It was a trick she had learned while living at home, and one that had been useful while living with Allie.

She didn't like a lot of the things Allie said to her. Allie thought she was stupid, and she wasn't, and she made fun of her for things that she didn't understand. Sometimes Syd thought that she should just tell her to stop saying those things, but that would only make it worse. She would have to kill herself if she ever let herself be that much of a whiny little baby.

Or she could just kill Allie, instead. She thought about it a lot, both killing Allie and killing in general. She fantasized about what it would be like, what it would look like up close when someone died, especially if you were choking them or hitting them when it happened. She knew what it felt like to choke someone unconscious, and from that point on there probably wasn't much of a difference, but she was ravenously curious to know if it felt like anything when they finally stopped breathing for good.

Allie would be really fun to kill, she thought. She was super annoying and whiny and girlie and totally helpless, and she was practically begging for it.

Syd changed the channel. She was bored of cop shows and was quickly onto the next thing.
