"Oomph!" Alaina grunted, not quite double over but feeling the hit for sure. At least the surprise wasn't there, so she was able to temper her reaction to hide the pain a bit. Her swing and miss was clumsy, but she knew she had to keep going to try to at least stun Amy long enough to grapple her. From there Alaina could deal a lot of damage, damage Amy couldn't keep up with.

"Ya little speedy pain in the ass!" Alaina said, mustering a smile. She wasn't upset with Amy at all and tried to show it. However, Alaina's method of expressing that in a spar was to step up, plant her left foot and spin her torso looking to kick Amy's obliques as hard as she could!
