Gabbie Desjardin Vs. Nova DellaPietra

Gabbie walked with Nova like she was a dog on a leash as she inched towards the ropes. The whole time she made sure to twist as hard as she could. She was actually surprised when Nova made it to the ropes and thought hard about holding onto the ankle as long as she could, but when the referee counted one to break, Gabbie dropped the ankle and backed away.

She took a few steps and backed away, holding her hands up as she stared at Nova. "I don't need to cheat or bend the rules to beat you." She said as she confidently puffed out her modest chest. "It's the only way you have a shot at me!"

Nova remained attached to the ropes for several seconds after Gabby backed away. She cautiously peered back at the little Canadian and pulled herself up to her knees to rub her aching ankle.

"You are so dead." She grabbed the ropes to stead herself as she got to her feet, or at least her foot, without putting any weight on her ankle. She timidly tested it to see if she could put weight on it.

"Ow!" She winced. It hurt! Well, she could put weight on it, but still!

She put her hands up in front of her and motioned for Gabbie to lock up with her. "Why don't you try wrestling, you little puke?"

Gabbie watched as Nova limped forward and offered the lock up. Outside of the obvious difference in the chest area, the girls were of similar size. Gabbie was certain she stronger than Nova. She just had to make sure that she could get to Nova before the girl resorted to cheating.

Gabbie's eyes gleamed with fiery desire for the lock up, however. She was definitely familiar with those, but probably not in the same way Nova was.

"You first." Gabbie said and lunged at Nova to lock up. Her instincts kicked in and she immediately lifted her leg to try and drive a knee into Nova's gut.

"GFFUUUUGHFH!"

Gabby's sharp knee strike smashed into Nova's belly and dropped her like a sack of potatoes. She forgot all about the clinch. Instead, she rolled away, all the way to the ropes and out of the ring and onto the floor where she went down on one knee, clutching her stomach.

The ref began counting, and Nova stood up. She paced alongside the ring, not yet ready to go inside, and when the crowd started booing she wagged a finger. But really, she was just trying not to puke. Her stomach was nauseous fire.

Gabbie was surprised when Nova dropped from one knee. Granted, she didn't hold back, but she was used to trading blows with her opponents. This girl... she was a joke!

Gabbie chased after Nova as she rolled towards the ropes, but the slippery brat managed to get out of the ring. She stopped, backed up a few steps and crossed her arms under her chest. "You better stay out there!" Gabbie shouted back. "Unless you want to come in here and lock up again! That was pretty fun!" Gabbie shifted back and forth from her standing position near the ropes. She'd managed to show Nova that she wasn't to be messed with one bit and when she got back in the ring, Gabbie was thinking she could finish the girl off pretty easily.

"I'm okay," Nova told nobody, and managed to keep her stomach where it belonged.

She turned to face the ring and saw Gabby up there waiting for her. She warily hopped up onto the apron and held onto the top rope while she waved her hand for Gabby to get away.

"Beat it, you little twehp! This is supposed to be faih and squahe!"

Gabbie really, REALLY wanted to kick Nova's head off once she took a few more steps back and planted her foot. She could do it and it would be great, but she wasn't going to stoop to Nova's level so she pulled her fists up in a guard position and gave Nova plenty of room to get back in the ring, ready to spring on her once she was fully inside.

Nova's shoulders slumped when Gabby complied and backed away from the ropes. There went that plan. Reverse psychology was stupid.

She slipped one leg in between the bottom and middle ropes and started to duck between them, but paused to cautiously eye Gabby again. She pointed at the ref and then at Gabby. "Hey, wef! Keep heh back!" She demanded.

Gabbie's tense muscles twitched as Nova began to step through the ropes. It was hard to tell if she was trying to fake out the pinkie or if she really was that itching to get a piece of her. When the ref began to yap at Gabbie, the blonde through her hands up in the air.

"I'm not the one you have to worry about!" She barked at the referee. She stepped away, backing nearly to the other side of the ring and beckoned for Nova to get in. "This far enough for you, you pansy!?" Gabbie spat as she eyed Nova.

"No..." Nova pouted.

She rolled her ankle around and took a test-step with it. Good enough. Now if she could just not get kicked in the face or kneed in the gut, that would be great.

"You're going down, you j-jerk..." She said, without conviction, and advanced on Gabby until she reached the middle of the ring and slowed to a stop.
