Circling The Drain

Zak stared uncomprehendingly at Charlie while he gave his roundabout answer, but his face lit up when he got the answer he was hoping for.

"Ooohhhhhhhhhh, shit!" He laughed and had to turn away. He paced a small circle and came back around. "Hell yeah I'm on the roster! I only had one match against this crazy chick, and it was okay... She whupped my ass, dude, it was crazy! I think her name was Amy or whatever."

He straightened up and tried to stay cool while he hazarded to ask the question that had burned in his mind since he first applied to be a wrestler at Tension. "So like, do you guys all hook up with the wrestlers? Like that shit's gotta be so tight, right?"

When Zak mentioned hooking up with all the wrestlers Charlie began laughing, the whiskey on his breath evident. "Yeah right kid.... you said it youself, the women on the roster are downright insane. Remember that." Charlie said as he stood there. Or more correctly, swayed in place. The booze was starting to hit him as his sips were more like gulps by the time Clyde removed his medicine from his grasp.

"If women are the reason you are here you are gonna hate it. They are all psychotic or they lead ya on before leading you high and dry..." He said with a bit of a slur. Now his sorrow towards Talia was mixing with frustration as the alcohol effected the high flyer.

"Amy... Poford?" Clyde asked with a slight wince. That was his debut match? The poor rookie probably got his face jacked up by that little firecracker!

Still, upon hearing Zak's question, Clyde smiled as he thought of his early AFW days in Sex Wars. Staying in his sister's dorm to see all the girls. One night stands, getting wasted, fooling around with hot babes in the ring... Cheating on girls like a douchebag. Good times!

But when he heard Charlie share his feelings, the cowboy just listened in. Part of did sort of agree. He had been dumped hard at least three times and drama followed him at every corner.

"Well... Some are pretty dang crazy. Like... Really crazy." Thinking on it, it was rare to meet an AFW girl who wasn't a psycho of some sort. Zak should be careful!

Clyde gave Charlie a hard pat on the shoulder and shook him firmly while grinning. "But don't mind him!" Clyde declared before leaning in towards Zak.

"Honestly... Best pussy. S'all right here." Clyde said with a firm nod while pointing downward. "You can have a lotta fun here!" Provided he stay single and never fall in love.

"Dang, yo..." Zak said, staring blankly at Charlie and his foul mood. He shrugged at Clyde. "I dunno her whole name. She had blue hair."

He stopped to think about it, as if carefully weighing this new information against his world view. "Well, I only met two wrestler chicks so far, and... The one with the blue hair, Amy, she was nuts. Like super villain crazy, but the other one was just kind of a cold-ass bitch. Super hot, but... Nasty."

He thought about it for another moment, and then something occurred to him. "Hey, so it seems like you're hung up on a chick, right? That's why you're draggin' and shit? Well hey, um... Was she hot?" He asked Charlie, and then nodded to one side and rolled his eyes. That part was a given. "I mean, how hot was she?"

Charlie just gave Zak a look. Not disgust, not surprise, just that look you give someone when you discover that they might not be as mature as they probably should be or they have the priorities of a 15 year old male.

"She was beautiful." Charlie said as he smiled slightly. His recollection of Talia briefly warmed his heart before the emptyness of his current solitude set back in. "She had silky smooth red hair, shining violet eyes, and a cute little frame. She was... I dunno, just perfect 'fer me." Charlie added, with a slight hiccup at the end.

Clyde realized Zak wasn't talking about Amy Poford, but a blue haired girl in Tension who was a super villain crazy? Did this dude mean Aoi Tamazaki? Or...

His thoughts shifted though when he asked Charlie a set of dumb questions. Clyde slumped forward and looked at Zak with a dumbfounded stare before he slowly brought his hand up to forehead and closed his eyes. So much for getting over her.

Then it was Charlie's turn to describe the woman he longed for and was going to be stuck on for the next three hours. Clyde stood next to Charlie with his hands folded in front of him like he were an agent standing beside the president while he made his speech and described his girl, who seemed a bit familiar when he described her. It wasn't Shauna or Ro, he knew that match.

"I really don't think nows the time ta' be askin' Chuck, how hot his Ex is, man." He said to Zak.

Zak nodded slowly to Charlie as he began to really get the picture. "Cool," he said, and then shrugged at Clyde. "Yeah, bro, I get it. I didn't mean to interrupt or anything, so... peace."

With that he wandered off to a row of weight machines. He figured that if Charlie was all drunk in the day and feeling down and whatever that he probably wasn't the good time Zak wanted to hitch his wagon to, and it was best just to leave him alone.

He eventually sat down on a flat bench and began to stretch his shit out before he got down to it.

"See ya kid." Charlie said as Zak left. A strange boy. Had Charlie been younger, and sober, he may have been able to relate to Zak.

Charlie instead turned to Clyde with his glassy eyes. "The Chuck E. Cheese has to get over the lady mouse. Clydey-do, whatcha say to something fun and productive?" Charlie asked with something of a smile as he shuffled about towards the ring. "Gotta show the world that I still got it.... at least as much as I can these days."

Abbey was feeling good. With her upcoming match in her sights, she was eager to get in the gym and get herself fine tuned. She was dressed in a pair of tight, black workout shorts and a black t-shirt that was cut off at the midriff and sleeves with a stylized 'BUB!' across the chest covering up her black sports bra.

She looked around as she entered and saw a couple of guys about to enter the ring and another over on the bench. She instantly recognized Charlie and meandered over to him.

"Hey boys." She said to the room with a big grin. "Hiya Chief." She said to Charlie specifically. "How's it hanging? You boys about to spar?"

Great. That wacky asian kid was gone so now Clyde could get Charlie home or something before he does something dumb. Like try and spar drunk.

"The fuck?" Clyde titled his head at Charlie when he started talking about Chuck E. Cheese and crap before he talked about having a spar.

"Heh!" Clyde smiled. Charlie was in no shape to fight! He'd mop the floor with him and was about to tell him exactly that before A tall, thick but shapely blonde haired babe appeared and greeted them. Clyde recognized who she was and couldn't resisting ogling the tension star that had ran a win train through most of Tension's male roster.

"Howdy..." He said back to her in a coy manner accompanied by a friendly smile, watching as she turned her attention to Charlie. Clyde's smile would widen at the sight of that. Here Charlie was thinking his life was over but here was this total babe coming to talk to him! This was exactly what Clyde was trying to tell Charlie earlier!

"Think so! Chuck thinks he can hang with me." Said Clyde, flashing Charlie a smile.
