Circling The Drain

Abbey watched Zak's eagerness as he dashed in the ring and hopped up, flexing and posing and doing all sorts of things to try and ... well, she could only guess what the ultimate goal was. Abbey was sincere about her training and helping him train, but she needed to know how serious Zak was. It was time to dump some cold water on Zak's hot body.

"Well, If you're serious about learning some moves, then I'll definitely teach you!" Abbey said and slipped into the ring. Once in, she turned and looked around the gym. Clyde had been the other one talking with Zak. Whatever the two boys were up to, she suspected them to be in cahoots so she eyed the blonde. "Hey, Dusty Trails, would you mind helping me out over here for a sec?" She asked, motioning for him to come over and help him out.

Clyde snickered in the background, watching Zak so eagerly dash to the ring before he started flexing and posing around. Such a funny little newb. Too bad he didn't know what he was getting into.

"...Huh?" Clyde turned around with a dim witted look in his eyes when Abbey called him over. His eyes would widen as he heard the dreamy blonde ask for his help. Clyde hopped off the treadmill and hastily went over to Abbey.

"Yes ma'am!?" He beamed with a wide grin.

Abbey smiled at Clyde as he eagerly stopped what he was doing and rushed right over to help her out. "Hey, would you mind getting in the ring and locking up with Zaky boy? Who knows, maybe I can teach you something too." She said with a wink.

Zak made a face and picked up a hand in confusion, and then disappointment when he saw the little southern guy coming over. She pulled the bait and switch. So uncool.

"Yeah, no problem, I got you, dog," he said, stretching his neck and limbering up, ready to lock up with Clyde.

"....Huh?" Clyde's brow raised in confusion, taking a look over at a confused Zak before looking back towards a grinning, winking Abbey who made The Cowboy blush a little before a smug smile went across his face. "Alright!" He said and turned around to face Zak who greeted him with...

"...D-...Dog?" Clyde winced the moment he heard it. "Where the heck you learn ta' speak?" Clyde muttered, wondering if this guy kissed his mother with that mouth.

Clyde slid into the ring and rotated his arms while bouncing on the balls of his sneaker covered feet, noting that Zak was more ripped than he was. Former Bodybuilder and all. "Alright, pardner..." He said, getting his hands up. "Let's see what you can do..." He added before moving in to lockup with Zak, moving in to grasp his shoulder and back of his head and immediately start pushing.

Zak raised an eyebrow at Clyde, but stayed focused. When Clyde stepped in to lock up, Zak slapped his hands on the back of Clyde's neck and the inside of his elbow. He turned sharply to the side, stopping Clyde's advance, and tightened down on the smaller guy with all his strength. His muscles bulged while he tried to force Clyde down enough to take away his leverage.

When Zak turned, Clyde was forced into a bit of an awkward stance as his advancement was halted. The guy was shorter but he was very strong and had Clyde wincing through the strain he gave trying to keep Zak from pushing him down.

"Nnh... Yer really set... Ta' impress..." He muttered with a small grin as he tried to bring his forearms around Zak's head to initiate a headlock, before twisting his body further while pulling forward, trying to bring Zak over his hip with a headlock takedown.

"Hah!"

Zak's compact body flipped easily onto the mat and landed with a bang. He grimaced, a little embarrassed, but tried to keep his breathing slow and controlled. He had been in this position plenty of times before, and he knew well enough to not waste his time kicking and flailing to get loose. Instead, he laid on his back and pushed his hand up under Clyde's chin to keep him up.

"Heh heh!" Clyde grinned as he flipped Zak over and got him down, looking the rookie in the eyes as he tried to crank the headlock until Zak's hand pushed up on Clyde's chin. "N-Nh!" Clyde shut an eye as his face was turned to the side, unable to pin Zak down with his arm pushing Clyde upward.

"Yer.... Still stuck... Friend..." He managed to say through small growls.

Abbey watched the two get close and roll around. It was actually pretty fun watching them roll around and the boys were being pretty good sports about it. She also thought that maybe it would be fun to be a referee. It was all kind of thrilling.

"It's ok, Zaky boy. He can't win the match with a headlock. Just don't panic and wait for him. He's got to try and make a move eventually and when he does, that's when you strike. Catch him in transition when he's more worried about getting his next move on you."

She paused and shook her head. "Well, I guess that he knows what you're going to do now." She shrugged and laughed.
