Re: Jamie's Lucky Day
Once all the supplies were bagged up, Lucky hefted them up in one arm and turned around. She was surprised to find such a serious look on Jamie's face. So much so that she blinked just to make sure. Her face matched Jamie's seriousness with one of genuine concern.
"Jamie-san, what's on your mind?" She said thoughtfully.

Re: Jamie's Lucky Day
"What are you thinking?" Jamie scolded, as much with her eyes as her words.
She jabbed a finger discretely in Abattoir's direction outside the building. "I do not like her. She's a jerk. And a creep. And she owns way more light bulbs than a normal person. Now let's just go out the door and around the corner while she's busy loading her stupid van, okay? Let her go kill her parents by herself!"

Re: Jamie's Lucky Day
"Eh?!"
Lucky was taken aback by Jamie's words. Usually SHE was the one doing the motherly scolding. It was especially strange coming from Jamie of all people!
"S-she's not that much of a jerk..." Lucky said, trying to defend her friendly demeanor. "Yeah... Maybe she's a little creepy..." She admitted. "That is a lot of light bulbs too..."
Lucky then tilted her head, suddenly taking on the role of petulant child. "But, Jamie-San! She's not a stranger! We've wrestled! When you wrestle with someone, you develop an understanding! Even so... All I want to do is trade numbers... It's just a little tutoring..."
Lucky fidgeted but suddenly looked at Jamie and started to grin. "Jamie-san, are you worried about me?"

Re: Jamie's Lucky Day
Jamie blinked. She shook her head like Lucky's question had rebooted her brain and blinked again. What kind of a stupid question was that?
"Ya know, if you're not gonna take this seriously..." She said, furrowing her brow while she watched the clerk checking out and bagging her cans of spray paint. When he was done, she grabbed the bags.
"You can't just be friends with every nutball you meet," she said firmly, and then glided off toward the door. She managed opening it with her hip, clopped through on her rollerblades, and then skated down the sidewalk a bit where she could keep an eye on things but still escape if Killyourparents got all crazy. Lucky was on her own.

"I-I take you seriously!" Lucky said as Jamie grabbed the goods and skated away. Lucky chased after and watched as she skated away and stopped. Lucky turned her head, giving a shy, pleading look to Jamie before her head drooped. She raised a finger and mouthed 'just one second, I promise!' to Jamie.
Lucky then turned and looked to where Abattoir was standing and stopped. She looked the girl over one more time and then back to Jamie. Lucky wasn't just making friends with every nutball she met... just... most of them. She was a friendly person!
She sighed and walked over to Abattoir., pulling out her phone as she did. "Thanks for waiting, Abattoir-san." She said. "So, can I get your number then?" Lucky asked. "We can set up a time and meet up!"

Re: Jamie's Lucky Day
By the time Lucky came out, Abattoir had finished loading her haul into a van marked with the AFW logo. Slamming the door shut, she pounded a fist on the side of the van twice, and it took off (presumably towards the arena). There, that was taken care of; all she had to do now was find a person to use the arsenal on. All in good time.
"...Yeah, okay." She accepted the phone, typed in her number, and tossed it back to Lucky as they walked. Abattoir's ride was parked on the other side of the lot - an unmistakable red S1000R that was probably incredibly illegal under Japanese traffic laws. "I'm around, when I'm not working."
Hopping onto the motorcycle's seat, she started digging out her keys when she caught sight of Jamie lurking in the distance like a slenderman photoshop, giving the conversation with Lucky a suspicious stare. What, was she the police now?
"All right," Abattoir finally asked, "how the hell did she beat you when I couldn't?"
She was definitely not salty about that. Not at all. Nope.

Re: Jamie's Lucky Day
Lucky nodded and took the phone. She glanced at the number and then looked at Jamie and followed Abattoir around to her bike. She was suddenly eager to just get back to Jamie but she felt obligated to see Abattoir off. However, she was caught off guard by Abattoir's question and her eyes widened. She threw another glance back at Jamie and then looked back at Abattoir and frowned.
"Jamie-san..." Lucky lowered her head and whispered. "She cheated, ok? She won by count out. She's good girl." Lucky tried to explain. "I know she is..." Lucky muttered, almost trying to convince herself. "But... she's not the best wrestler around. Still... she was clever enough to get away with what she did without getting caught, so the victory is hers." Lucky lowered her head.
"I don't..." Lucky turned and looked back at Jamie once again. "I don't hold it against her and I try not to take it personal." Though, sometimes Lucky did. "Jamie-san is a good kid." She repeated. "The match is over. There's no reason we can't be friends now."
Lucky looked up at Abattoir, expecting her to understand, even though her eyes held a bit of pleading to them.

Re: Jamie's Lucky Day
Ah, there it was. She'd cheated. Abattoir felt an acid slick of satisfaction across the surface of her heart; if she'd brained Lucky with a chair while the ref was down or something, she'd probably be 1-0 now. She didn't particularly believe in moral victories, but it was a tiny bit gratifying to know that she'd won one right there.
"Whatever works for you," she said, spreading her hands in a vaguely Gallic shrug. "None of my business who you hang out with. I don't really do the whole 'friends' thing; not exactly in a position to judge." Turning the key in the ignition, Abattoir revved the engine, gave Jamie a final glance, and then turned her eyes back to Lucky. "For what it's worth, though? Even if you're the friendly type - somebody stabs you in the back once, you best remember what they're capable of. Happens again, it's on you."
With that, she fired up the bike - holy shit it was loud, especially by Japanese standards - and nodded to the bluenette. "Be seeing you." It was entirely possible Lucky couldn't hear her over the engine, but the intent was unmistakable, particularly since she rode off a moment later.

Re: Jamie's Lucky Day
Lucky flinched visibly when Abattoir started up the bike. Then though it hurt her ears, she was thankful for it. It covered up the distaste Lucky had in her mouth from what the girl had said. Lucky shook her head. She didn't like those words one bit!
She sighed and turned back towards Jamie with a crestfallen glance. Abattoir was right, probably. Jamie was probably right too. Lucky was the stupid naive one that thought she could be friends with anyone just because she was nice.
She drug her feet about halfway towards Jamie and then stopped and clenched her fists. She looked at Jamie and shook her head. "I don't care!" She said and strode the rest of the way to Jamie. "I don't care what happens! I like you, Jamie-san and I really, really want to be your friend!"
Harrumph!

Re: Jamie's Lucky Day
Jamie skated the rest of the way to Lucky, watching Abattoir's motorcycle until it disappeared completely before she finally looked at Lucky.
She had heard what she said. She disregarded it mostly as nonsense. She wasn't sure what she was even talking about, but it didn't matter. "Good, you got rid of her," she said, and then without missing a beat, added "Do you wanna see what I'm gonna paint?"
