SS 15 Entropy Title Match: Gwendolyn DuPont Bettencourt(C) Vs. Julia Rogers

The precariousness of her positioning would go entirely unnoticed by Gwendolyn at this point, too preoccupied with nursing her sore back after Julia slamming her to the canvas in what was an increasingly embarrassing turn of events. The rallying momentum behind Julia was practically palpable, from languishing helplessly in a camel clutch to cranking up the tempo of the match considerably with an overwhelming volley of kicks and suplexes that left the poor heiress struggling to keep up.

"Nngh..." Groaning in pain with her golden curls splayed all around her head, Gwendolyn simply couldn't wrap her head around how summarily this wretched cowgirl was besting her. The fact that a lowly lackey from a decrepit dojo, a relative rookie no less, was upstaging the aristocrat on what was meant to be her grand homecoming was a hefty blow to her pride after having been in so dominant a position. Despite her best efforts to amend this issue with the best trainers money could afford, Gwendolyn's delicate frame was simply not accustomed to being rode roughshod over.

The noticeable rise in decibels from the audience caught Gwendolyn's attention at first, lifting her head up slightly and glancing to her side to notice Julia quickly ascending the ropes with her back turned to her. Whatever Julia was planning for, Gwen knew it was a maneuver that would spell doom for her if it connected, now intimately familiar with cowgirl's penchant for high flying tactics. As winded as she was though, the sight of Julia towering over her and signaling her demise was enough insulting imagery to rekindle a spark of resistance from the heiress. With Julia still pointing her finger into the air, the heiress would dramatically will herself back to her feet. Springboarding off her wobbly legs to drape herself over the top rope, the shaking and rattling of the rope would send trembling vibrations intended to knock Julia off her perch!!

This was it. Julia could feel it. The crowd was on its feet in anticipation for what was to come, and the cowgirl was in an almost perfect position. She would’ve liked to have had Gwen on her back right now, but that was a minor issue. If all went as planned, the impact should still be more than enough to keep the heiress down and score an easy pinfall for Julia, which would be a huge step toward victory in the biggest match of her career thus far.

But as she was raising herself up to stand on the top rope, the luchadora failed to realize her adversary had sprung to life behind her and was throwing herself right at the top rope. Julia should’ve checked more carefully to make sure the champ was incapacitated, but she hadn’t. And that mistake cost her dearly as the heiress’ weight coming down onto the rope caused it to shake, which made Julia start to waver as she tried to keep her balance.

Her attempt only lasted about half a second, and then her legs slipped off the rope and gravity began pulling her body down. And on the way, Julia’s right leg landed over the top rope, which caused her body to tilt backward and brought the back of her head crashing down hard onto the mat! The crowd unanimously cringed at the brutal impact, which drew a sharp cry of agony from Julia’s face as she rolled and writhed about on the mat, legs kicking about frantically while her arms moved protectively over the back of her throbbing skull.

As swiftly as Julia had roused members of the audience to her side with her climactic performance and crowd pleasing antics, all of her built up momentum would come to a screeching halt with the cowgirls heart stopping collapse from the top turn buckle. A crash so discomforting to watch that the referee would immediately rush to her side, drop down to her level and once she was cognizant enough to respond ask Julia general wellness questions to check on her and see if she still wanted to continue.

Thanking her lucky stars for having reacted in time, Gwendolyn hung loosely against the ropes with her arms draped over the top rope behind her and wisely took the lull in the excitement to recover. While others were more concerned with the cowgirls well-being, there was no one else in the arena who gazed upon the cowgirls languishing frame with a greater sense of accomplishment. Having thwarted Julia's attempts to put her away, all Gwendolyn saw was a golden opportunity for her to seal the deal and put this lowly cowgirl in her place...

The heiress pushed herself off the ropes once the referee backed away from Julia and signaled that she was cleared to continue and was considered fair game in the heiress' hazel eyes. Gwendolyn methodically stalked her wounded prey and stayed just behind Julia's field of vision as she lethargically made her way back up to her feet. Once the pompous aristocrat started tapping the toe of her right foot on the mat, the audience knew the immediate danger Julia was in as they recognized the telltale sign of Gwen's now infamously revered K.O. superkick finisher, ‘Colère de Dieu’. Biding her time and licking her lips in hungered anticipation as Julia finally got vertical again, Gwendolyn sprung to her tip toes and initiated a masterfully elegant ballerina spin before extending her right leg outward and towards Julia's jaw to deliver the finishing blow!!

There’s a very good reason why the top rope is so commonly referred to as “high-risk” territory, and Julia had just demonstrated it. It wasn’t the first time she’d crashed and burned by any means, but that didn’t make her cringe-inducing impact with the mat hurt any less. She was quite fortunate she hadn’t broken her neck just now, though at the moment the cowgirl was a bit too busy worrying about the intense pain in her head to even think about that.

Julia heard the ref’s voice checking in on her, and asking if she felt she could continue the match, and nodded. There was no way in hell she was about to let them cut the biggest match of her career short just because of one bad fall. Somewhat reluctantly, the ref stood back and let the match continue, and Julia rolled onto her hands and knees before trying to push herself back up to a vertical base. It was no easy task, and the entire room seemed to be spinning around her. Once she was finally up, Julia started to look around the ring for Gwen. And find her she did, right as she turned around.

Another loud smack echoed through the air as the heiress’ foot crashed right into Julia’s jaw, causing her blonde head to snap back as her body dropped right back down to the mat. The champ’s notorious finisher had connected with full force, and this time there was no writing about in agony for the cowgirl. Aside from some light stirring on her part, the luchadora’s body was almost completely still as she laid there flat on her back.

Despite Gwen's pre-windup mannerisms telegraphing her notoriously brutal superkick well in advance, the majority of the audience still winced from the sight of the savage pirouette knocking the taste out of the cowgirls mouth. Just as Julia's missile dropkick illuminated the darkened arena with flickering cell phone cameras, so too did Gwendolyn's impactful demonstration of her own wrestling expertise light up the sky with sparkling flashes capturing the exact moment of head whipping contact.

A rush of unbridled exhilaration washed over the dainty aristocrat after connecting with her jaw crushing finale and witnessing it's destructive aftermath. She relished the sight of the insolent cowgirl rendered completely inert by her refined wrestling acumen, her grandiose finisher now emphatically securing her the first fall of the match. Gwen nonchalantly took her time during her elegantly poised stride over towards the motionless cowgirl until she stood over her opponent with both of her sinewy legs at Julia's sides. Gwendolyn would sit her lovely rump on Julia's heaving chest after an alluringly slow descent and pin her arms to the side between Gwen's legs in a schoolgirl pin, the same pin she utilized when claiming victory over Julia's dojo compatriot Alaina.

"...*giggle*...You seem to have a delightful penchant for ending up beneath me, Dear Julia~..." Gwendolyn gleefully mocked, the reddening of her cheeks from once again having so dominant a position over Julia nearly unnoticeable thanks to her luchadora mask. Her triumphant victory pose wouldn't be complete however until she dramatically primped up her golden curls and flicked them over her shoulder with her other arm cocked at her waist. The heiress gleefully sneered down towards her humbled prey with the pin-fall sounding off just to their side.

"1!"

"2!"

There was only one person in the whole arena who didn’t see Gwen’s kick coming from a mile away, and that person was now borderline unconscious because of it. Bright flashes of cameras and phones filled the air, but the downed cowgirl hardly even seemed to notice. She just laid there looking almost like a lifeless corpse.

As the aristocrat moved to her over Julia, her faintly visible form was hardly more than a silhouette to the floored challenger. And she was unable to bring herself to do a single thing in retaliation as Gwen took her sweet time lowering herself down to take a seat on Julia’s chest to place her in a tight schoolgirl pin. It seemed fate had a cruel sense of humor, as the dojo trainee was not only blasted with the same move that had brought her best friend’s title hopes to an abrupt end, but was now being pinned the exact same way too.

She heard the heiress’ taunting words, and would’ve loved to refute them in some way. But she couldn’t bring herself to speak, and could only look right up at Gwen from between the girl’s thighs as the ref began the count. Hearing the two count, Julia mustered up as much will as she could in an attempt at an unlikely escape. One leg started to stir, and the crowd started buzzing at the sign of life in the cowgirl! Until...

“3!”

It was official now, the first fall went to Gwen. That was it. Julia’s best effort to escape the pin had only amounted to one of her limbs lightly stirring for a brief moment. Certainly not enough to budge the heiress from her perch even slightly, much less free a shoulder and escape a pin like that.

She slammed her eyes shut, trying to avoid looking at Gwen any longer in this humiliating moment. This was the first time anyone in AFW had managed to pin Julia, and it was in a match that was supposed to be her specialty, and all at Gwen’s hands. On top of that was the knowledge that, as the heiress had pointed out, this was now the second time Julia had ended up being used as the aristocrat’s seat. Fortunately for her, there were up to two more rounds left in this match, and she’d be more than a little determined to make up for this. But for now, all she could do was wait to be dismounted and let up so the second round could begin.

Julia's weakened stirrings elicited a quick rise from her small camp of followers, but it was clearly nowhere near enough to dislodge Gwendolyn from her cushiony seated position. As of this day the only individual who had managed to recover from her dreaded finisher long enough to mount any form of comeback was Silver Ace, and that was only due to her not being immediately pinned afterwards given that it was a ladder match. An honor Haley would retain as the clanging ring bell officially declared the first fall of the match in the heiress' favor, Gwendolyn still propping herself up on Julia's supple chest well after she was awarded the point.

"My My, it appears I've bested you at your own game, Miss Cowgirl. With nary a hint of unscrupulous acts or a sign of my trusty entourage. What's more, if this were a standard affair, this would be the end of your title aspirations right here and now. Oh, but do try not to wallow in your distress for too long, and best of luck in Round Two~ ...*giggle*..." Gwendolyn joyfully monologued to the trapped cowgirl, her arms crossed in front of her puffed out chest with a look of smug superiority on her face.

After mercifully dismounting the poor cowgirl and freeing her from any further haughty derision, Gwendolyn stepped over to Julia's side and mockingly kicked her feet up behind her as if she were scrapping mud off her boots on a floor mat. Sauntering over to her corner with a seductive sway to her hips, Gwendolyn held her head high even after the disrespectful act towards her fallen opponent.

By keeping her wits about her when the pressure was on and using her innate talent for last second counters, Gwendolyn had felt she had already accomplished one minor goal that came with the stringent rules of this match...silence all her naysayers who continue to deny her rightful place in the upper echelons of this league. Now she was one step closer to securing the Entropy Title Belt once again, re-approaching Julia from her corner with her arms extended once she had recovered and was properly prepared to lose this second round~

Julia had very much hoped that with the first fall now awarded to Gwen, the heiress would get off of her as soon as possible so that the next round could get right under way, and she could put this less than proud moment behind her. But the cocky aristocrat insisted on making this moment as unbearable as possible for the cowgirl, who was forced to lay there and listen to every taunting word that left Gwen’s lips. A thigh rested by either side of her masked face, preventing her from turning her head, and she still hadn’t recovered enough to throw her adversary off of her either.

The worst part about it was that, once again, the heiress was right. Throwing herself at the rope to bring Julia crashing down may not’ve exactly been much of a “technical wrestling move,” but it was fair game. Fact was, Julia had taken a gamble, and it had come back to bite her. Hard. Just you wait. I’ll get you back for this... Julia thought to herself, gritting her teeth behind her lips and balling her hands into fists as she fought to contain her frustration.

One of the only positives to take from all of this was that Julia was being allowed lots of extra time to let her head clear after getting rocked with a fall from the top rope and a super kick almost immediately after. So after Gwen finally removed herself from her comfortable perch on Julia’s chest it wasn’t long before the cowgirl was able to pick herself up, albeit slowly, before heading back to her corner, hands resting on her hips and an obvious look of irritation on her face. The ref came over to check on her and make sure she was alright to continue. Julia gave quick nods to every question, and took some deep breaths while shaking off as much of the cobwebs as she could. To make a comeback and walk out with the Entropy Title, she’d have to win two consecutive falls. No more room for error. Not an easy task, especially considering Julia’s high-risk style. But she knew she was up to the task.

As the second round began, Julia put her hands up and came out to meet Gwen in the center of the ring. She’d caught her foe by surprise with a spinning heel kick to the gut to kick off the last round. As good a start as that was, Julia was approaching this round with a mindset of being patient and conservative. Trying the flashy stuff too soon was her downfall in the first round, and she wasn’t about to let that happen again. So once they were close, Julia lunged out to try to initiate a simple lockup.

While the distraught cowgirl was busy lamenting her first round loss in her corner, Gwendolyn leaned against her own turnbuckle and did her level-minded best to map out her next plan of attack. Julia's lowly trek and downtrodden demeanor indicated to Gwen that she was perhaps taking this outcome just as badly as she anticipated. Now the heiress hoped her mind games had sunk into her opponents psyche enough to rattle her thought processes and decision making. If not, then maybe some more light-hearted ribbing was in order...

Gwen-do-lyn!!...Gwen-do-lyn!!

During their reprieve in their respective corners, the Gwendolyn faithful in the audience applauded their haughty representative with vigorous cheers and rhythmic chanting of her name. Perhaps the only venue where this was remotely possible, the heiress' took the time to appreciate her countrymen's backing and respond with a lavish, wide-armed pose before approaching Julia for the beginning of Round Two. With gradual and cautious footwork, Gwen met Julia dead center in middle of the ring and matched Julia's guarded stance with her own before latching onto her in a collar and elbow tie-up.

With one hand latched firmly onto the back of Julia's neck, Gwen's toned leg would extend far behind her to steadily prop herself up against the cowgirl in the neutral standoff. With her lithe frame going rigid in the lockup, Gwen merely established her positioning to hopefully prevent being shoved back to the corner. Though her intention was not to so foolish to think she could bully Julia around, but to get close enough to poke and prod with her mind games now that the two were glaring right into eachother's eyes.

"I wonder...nngh...would a loss here...put your position in the dojo in jeopardy? You are only one false misstep away from succumbing to my excellence and bringing further shame upon that ineptly led hovel..." Gwendolyn delightedly sneered with a haughty smirk on her face before attempting to abruptly drive the side of her thigh into Julia's gut. Breaking up the hold and leaving the cowgirl wide open for a constricting side headlock if her distraction and sneak attack paid off.

Julia was unable to restrain a small growl of frustration as she heard the audience starting to chant in favor of Gwen once again. She’d accepted the fact that this was one crowd the cowgirl just wasn’t going to be able to get all the way in her corner. But that first round loss had stung, big time. Being completely helpless while the heiress had sat on her for the three count and talked down to her the way she had was an embarrassing blow to Julia’s pride. Her first opportunity at a championship in AFW had had a disastrous start, and hearing the crowd still chanting for Gwen only aggravated her even further.

The two locked horns in the center of the ring, and it seemed neither one of them was going to be giving an inch. After just finishing the first round moments ago, Julia wasn’t all too surprised when she wasn’t able to drive the aristocrat back, especially considering the cowgirl wasn’t anything of a powerhouse to begin with. But as she glared into Gwen’s eyes while pushing against her, the luchadora was once again forced to listen to the heiress’ taunting words, and she could feel the sparks of frustration starting to fan into flames of anger.

“Shut your mouth!” Julia barked back. She had warned Gwen just days ago not to speak ill of the Higurashi dojo again. Though considering the defending champ’s first round victory only moments ago, that warning likely seemed much less threatening. Regardless, Julia was determined to make sure Gwen paid for it. But before she could retort any further, the side of the heiress’ thigh blasted right into Julia’s stomach, forcing a light gasp from her lips and doubling her over, while an arm then wrapped itself her neck to apply a tight headlock.

Julia had been the applicant of an identical hold in the starting moments of the bout, but now she was the one having the side of her masked face pushed against the side of her foe’s bosom while being constricted. “Uggh!” Julia grunted through grit teeth. But she refused to remain trapped in the hold for long, and started driving an elbow at Gwen’s ribs while leaning back, hoping to lead the aristocrat into the ropes. Placing a hand against her adversary’s lower back, she’d then give the girl a hard shove, hoping to send her into the ropes across the ring from them.
