Re: Stone vs. Blaise Cameron - Making a Stand
The impact is a rough one, even for Blaise. He lands over her lower half, with his legs being the last thing to hit the mat. Immediately after both bodies fully hit the mat, Blaise rears back onto his knees and lets loose a wild roar that gets the audience on their feet. It feels good to fell the giant, to break the mountain. It's energizing! And though he's far from 100%, he's feeling a second wind coming on - maybe just enough to get the finish he'd earned last time!
The teen shoves at he hip and ribs to roll her over onto her front. From there, he steps up onto her thighs and reaches down to hook her ankles at his shins. It may take a sharp slap to the back to get her wrists where they can be reached, but he wants those, too! And once everything is in place, Blaise yards back on her arms and rolls over onto his back, suspending her heavy body into the air, putting strain on all four limbs and her back with a romero special!

Re: Stone vs. Blaise Cameron - Making a Stand
Stone was getting the odd sense of deja vu, here.
Yes, she'd been here, before. Not exactly in this same spot, but the overall scenario was familiar. A match she'd more or less controlled getting pulled out from under her feet, Blaise seizing the reigns, the crowd rallying behind him, and fate turning over on his side. It didn't bode well for her, because she had a fairly good idea of what was coming next.
Not a complete idea, though. She would've guessed Blaise would go for the Bow and Arrow again. Instead, she found herself hoisted up in the equally immobilizing but far more impressive Romero Special. Or Ceiling Hold. Or whatever you called it. The point was it, it hurt, and there wasn't any way to get out of the damned thing.
She let out a short shriek and shook her head from side to side as she was pushed up, displaying Blaise's impressive leg strength as he essentially squatted her. Stone tried to rock away, maybe mess up the hold, but she couldn't get nearly enough momentum for it. She was trapped. No way around it.

Re: Stone vs. Blaise Cameron - Making a Stand
Holding her up in the hold wasn't enough. Even when the large woman shrieked, he wasn't satisfied - though it was an altogether unexpected sound from her. No, Blaise, for once, is focused on the end goal. So he begins pumping the submission hold, his arms and legs bending a little, only to straighten up again more sharply, straining her body tighter and tighter steadily.
That focus isn't refined just for the sake of cinching his first win, though. It isn't because his girl is watching from the sidelines, and it isn't even to ensure he's made his point tonight. These things are a factor, sure, but they're not the main reason. His focus is dead-set on causing as much pain as fast as possible because he knows, he knows, that the temptation to rush the ring is building in Mako. And every second longer this takes, the more likely it is that it's going to happen. If Stone doesn't submit to him fast, he's in for another beating, another stolen victory. It's too familiar.
He shoots a glance in the direction where he last saw Mako, then quickly back to Stone.
"Give in!," he barks to the woman silhouetted above him. "You're done!" His head turns. "Get in there, ref'! Check'er!"
'Come on, give up, please give up, come on!'

Re: Stone vs. Blaise Cameron - Making a Stand
When Blaise looks Mako's way, he won't see much of anything. That should worry him.
Mako had been watching the match with a keen eye, not liking the way this was going. They'd been here before - Stone had trouble sealing the deal last time, too, and she'd needed someone to make the save. Same situation as before - for the honor of the Valkyries, she was going to have to intervene. The only question was how she'd go about doing that. She had Divine to work with, now, and that meant she could focus on a two-pronged plan. Get Blaise from both sides, take him out before he knew what was happening.
Divine moved around one side of the ring while Mako moved around the other, starting to circle around them, keeping low to stay covered. The plan was a simple one - she'd slide in and take out Blaise, Divine would drop the referee before she knew what hit her, and if Suzumi tried to get in the way, they'd both kick her ass. Couldn't be easier.
Stone, for her part, wasn't giving up just yet, though it looked like she was starting to seriously consider. Mako's time was short, and she got ready to execute...

Re: Stone vs. Blaise Cameron - Making a Stand
Suzumi watched as Mako and Divine circled the ring. As they did so Suzumi moved towards Divine, the closer of the two women. She knew an ambush when she saw one.
She took measures of her own to protect Blaise. As Divine moved Suzumi snuck around behind her and quickly moved to grab a hold of her! Anyone who threatened Blaise risked a nasty hold... a threat Suzumi was all to happy to carry out! She would try to wrap her legs around Divine from behind and bend her head back, locking her in a nasty modified dragon sleeper hold...... also known as the Tsunami Sleeper!

Re: Stone vs. Blaise Cameron - Making a Stand
Divine's part of the plan had been relatively simple. That was the great thing about working as a trio - she didn't have to do much, and on the rare occasions she did have to actually engage, it was usuallying something simple. For instance, in this particular case, all she had to do was knock the referee out for a little bit. Couldn't be easier.
At least, it would've been a simple thing if Suzumi hadn't stuck her nose where it certainly didn't belong and got her tied up in a dragon sleeperhold, pulling her down to the floor while the audience broke out into laughter. Divine found herself struggling in the hold, wrapped up tight and going nowhere.
That distracted the referee, made her move to the side to see what was going on. Unfortunately, they needed a bit more of a distraction. Even more unfortunately, Mako couldn't see just how bad things were going from her vantage point. She rushed in, jumped towards Blaise, and came at him with a baseball slide, striking his ribs with both her boots at once. It would be enough to break the hold, sure, but the referee...

Re: Stone vs. Blaise Cameron - Making a Stand
No Mako.
Crap. Crap. Crapcrapcrapcrap.
"GIVE IN!," Blaise shouts to the elevated Stone. "Don't... don't make me really hurt you!" He can't even make that sound legitimate. The idea of him actually hurting someone, even someone who'd hurt him, is hard to swallow. It's a bluff; an obvious one, at that, but it's borne of rising desperation to force that submission out of her before Mako gets involved.
The ring vibrates.
"No..."
The vibrations close in. Blaise turns his head to spot a rapidly-approaching Mako. "No! Nonono, ref'! No-"
A pair of feet blast into his ribs, and the teen promptly dumps his heavy cargo to the side. "Ung!" He curls in, cradling his side defensively, and tries to squirm across the ring to gain some distance.

Re: Stone vs. Blaise Cameron - Making a Stand
The hardest thing for Mako, through all of this, was not laughing her ass off and blowing her cover. She swore, it required real, physical effort not to burst out into a giggle fit when she sent Blaise rolling, covering his side and gawking like a fish out of water. Stone collapsed on her chest, grasping her back, in too much pain to do much more than glare Mako's way. She disapproved. What a shocker.
She shot Stone a faked pout and turned her attention back to Blaise, as a raw grin came over her face. Mako started to move after Blaise and got ready to hit him with a good boot to the face - in her experience, extreme head trauma was a quick way to equalize things. She neared him, ready to pounce, eager to pound him into the mat and gain another victory for the Valkyries...
And then she found herself staring at the referee.
She was still up. And conscious. And looking between the three of them. Cogs were turning in her head. Divine was nowhere to be seen. Mako just stared and blinked, like a deer in the headlights. "Shit."
The referee immediately threw her hands up and signaled for the bell, calling the match with a DQ!

Re: Stone vs. Blaise Cameron - Making a Stand
Blaise scrambles back from Mako until his back is pressing into the ropes, eyes wide. He could fight back, but after being beaten up by Stone with Mako being fresh as a daisy, it's all but a foregone conclusion! His teeth grit, his head turns, eyes squeeze shut...
*DING* *DING* *DING*
One eye peeks open.
There stands the referee interposed between himself and Mako, signalling the disqualification. It takes a few seconds for his brain to catch up, but each tick causes a smile to spread his lips a little wider. And by the time the referee is gesturing towards him to indicate the evening's winner, the irony has become too much to bear.
"Hah... hahah... hahahah!"
This is only the preamble. Pretty soon, the spunky teen is laughing uproariously! It's a bright, cheerful, and oh-so-mocking sound. But he's quite certain that lingering would have some notably unfunny consequences. He slips under the bottom rope to land on his boots with an unsteady wobble. For as hilarious as this outcome is, it doesn't take away the wear and tear he's suffered.
Those big blues land on Suzumi locking down Divine, and he can't help it; it spurs more. "Hahahah!" The teen doubles over, propping one hand to his knee while the other gestures towards the girl to let her go and join him.

Re: Stone vs. Blaise Cameron - Making a Stand
Suzumi gave Divine one last hard squeeze before letting go of the hold. She screamed joyously as she jumped up to join Blaise. She rushed Blaise and gave him a big hug and kiss in front of everyone.
"Baby you were great! These bitches tried to cheat and you still won!" She shouted as she glared at Mako and Stone. "You guys totally can't compare to my Blaise!" In her excitement she also kept going.... not knowing when to shut up was a trait of Suzumi's. "You cheated and still lost! Like, your little girly friend out there folded in the Tsunami Sleeper like a little pansy! I totally expected biker chicks to be more badass and less creampuff..."
