Stone vs. Blaise Cameron - Making a Stand

Stone felt like she was having a mild out of body experience. She was weightless. She was floating. Everything around her was muted, as if she were listening to the world through a thick paper bag. Blaise had hit the reset button on her brain and she was training to load up everything she needed just to think properly.

"1...!"

Because of that, she was dimly aware of Blaise crawling over her body and going for the pin. A lot of it had to do with opening her eyes and seeing his sweaty trunks in front of her face. A sight that she understood she would have to deal with on occasion as a wrestler, but not one she welcomed.

"2...!"

Now it was her turn to break the pin, and she did it by jerking to the side and tossing Blaise off of her like a bedsheet in the morning. That was about all she had the energy to do at the moment, though, and she rolled over onto her back right afterwards.

By the second count, Blaise's eyes widen a little. He wouldn't dare to hope this early in the match, but every passing instant builds tension. But he's slung off of her, hitting the mat on his hip and rolling over a couple times to end on his hands and knees.

"Should'a.. stayed down.. now I gotta.. hurt ya..," says her breathless opponent with a wry grin. He's very aware of the situation, the proverbial 'score card'. She's been trouncing him, and he's scored what some may consider a lucky hit so far. But his sense of humor is almost as relentless as he is, himself.

Nevertheless, Blaise pulls himself up to his feet and urges his body into a rush for the ropes furthest from her side. As humorous as the line may have come off, he had every intention to follow up on it. He's got some ground to make up! And when he springs off the ropes and surges across the mat towards her again, he hopes to kick things off with a leap into the air! His body rolls back, aiming to slam his back across her torso in a running senton splash!

Stone was getting the weirdest sense of deja vu.

She'd been here before with Blaise. Had him on the ropes, beating him into the ring, completely dominating things. One mistake, that was all it took, and the little bugger managed to turn things around. And she'd never really gotten them back, either. He was like a snowball rolling down a hill. Small at first, but the longer you let him accumulate...

She'd beaten the count, but she knew that was just going to be a momentary measure. She started to sit up and tried to lock in on him, hoping to figure out where he was and shut him down. Finding him was the easy part - he wasn't exactly stealthy with his attack. Doing something about it in time? Trickier.

Blaise crashed on Stone's chest and drove her into the mat, flattening her once again and filling her ribs with pain. She let out a long groan, as Mako screamed from sidelines and made her displeasure known to the entire stadium.

"What the fuck is this shit?" She slammed her fist against the apron. "Hey! Stop fucking around!"

The impact isn't entirely pleasant for Blaise, either; not after that backbreaker. Immediately after landing, the teen sits up again with a wince. "Nng... ow..." With a few quick breaths, he focuses out the pain and fixes his gaze onto the raging Mako at ringside. Oh, that's what he was hoping for. He can smell it. It's dread. And it smells sweet. It even earns a saccharine smile from him, knowing (or at least hoping) it gets under the biker's skin.

Blaise twists, wheeling his leg over Stone to mount her hips. Once in place, he reaches for her arms to restrain over his knees. If he can get all this in place, the final step is to lace his fingers together under the woman's jaw to begin wrenching back, bowing her into a tight-angled camel clutch.

It does, indeed, get under Mako's skin, and she returned it with a deep frown, as she ran her thumbs across her neck and pointed straight at him. She made sure to give it a couple of words, just in case the gesture wasn't clear enough by itself. "Dead. Meat."

Stone would have had quite a bit to say to Mako...if she could speak at all. Unfortunately, it's a little difficult to talk when someone's pulling your jaw shut. To say nothing of the way she was being bent in half and wrenched, suffering in Blaise's camel clutch.

The referee kneeled down beside them, looking for a submission as Stone jerked this way and that, trying to find any give in the tightly locked hold. So far, not luck, and her back was screaming for mercy.

Blaise is unfazed by Mako's threats! At least, not openly. Internally, he's a little bit concerned he's overplaying his hand. After all, this is awfully reminiscent of his last match with Stone. He'd had that match won, but Mako and her lackey jumped into the ring, took out the ref', and went to town on him. If he pushes her too far, she might just get away with it again. And while he's used to physical abuse, getting beaten senseless simply for its own sake is... it's just not something he wants to relive.

Stone's squirming brings him back to the here and now. What happened in the last match has to be left in the past. He's here to make a statement tonight, and this submission hold could go a long way in it, if he can just keep it going! The teen leans back, trying to force Stone's muscles to unlock and her spine to twist.

"SUBMIT!," he shouts, loud enough to be heard over the roar of the audience. "You're not cheating your way out of this one! You're mine, Stone! Check'er, ref'!"

Stone wasn't sure which was worse - the pain in her back or the annoyance of having Blaise screaming in her ear. If she had to pick, though? She'd choose the pain.

It's oddly familiar - she's been here before, experienced this, went through the thick of it, nothing new.  The biggest real difference here was that, last time, Blaise had gotten her into a hold she had no chance of escaping. She could find a way out of this one, it wasn't completely hopeless....just borderline.

"Shut..." She managed to growl through her teeth, as she slowly crept forward and pushed hard towards the ropes. A little more. A littlle more. A little more. Every inch feels like a distinct battle all its own and makes the hold feel even worse, if such a thing is possible. Her eyes shut tight and her head shook from side to side,  trying her best to block out what little pain she could

"...up!" Stone lunged out and grabbed hold of the ropes as soon as she was close enough, grabbing them tighter than anything she'd ever held in her entire life.

Blaise pulls on Stone's chin, growling, hoping to wrench a submission out of her. But her struggling becomes something more productive, and there wasn't anything he could do about it without giving up the hold altogether. So he clung on for the ride, hoping she ran out of gas before reaching the Holy Land of the ring apron.

The referee hovers close, keeping watch. And as soon as Stone achieves her white-knuckles grasp of the ropes, she barks at Blaise to release her!

The teen complies instantly, dismounting her back and rolling over to all fours. "Not gonna let you get away this time...," he mutters. "Last time, I got robbed. Tonight's mine." He spares a hand to grab ahold of her spiky hair and draws himself to his feet, hoping to drag her along for the ride.

"Break the hold!" Stone breathed a sigh of relief - as best as she could from this position - when she heard the referee call for the break. She wasn't quite at the point where she'd consider tapping out, but she was rapidly approaching it.

She was grateful that Blaise didn't move onto another move right afterwards, but it was a small blessing. He was grabbing her hair, lifting her up, and she followed along with it for the moment without much resistance. Her back was just too bent out of shape for anything crazy at the moment.

"Just because you're not getting robbed doesn't mean you'll win." She was quick to shoot that right back at him. She liked the aggressive streak in him, it was nice to see the fire. But that didn't mean she was going to lay back and take it.

"You know it does tonight," Blaise asserts, his face hanging close to Stone's in this moment. Competitiveness isn't uncommon in Blaise, but this level? This level is a bit more rare. Stone owes him a clean match with a clean finish. The prior's already gone out the window, but the latter? He plans to fight for that - and hard.

With one hand still gripping the woman's hair, Blaise rocks back on his heel and lurches forward, aiming a forearm 'punch' for her jaw to begin working her over. Brawling isn't exactly his thing, but some quick strikes will hopefully keep her compliant for something flashier and ultimately more devastating. One doesn't chop down an oak in a single swing, after all.
