Odessa Brock vs. River Styx - #1 Contender Match for the Hardcore Championship

Odessa moved behind the table, but she wasn't alone - the referee had picked it as her hiding spot, moving there after they'd gotten a little too close for comfort at the onset of the fight. And now she'd have to move again, because it was bad enough that she had to be trapped inside a store during a hardcore match with two fierce women, but there was no way she was getting any closer to the fight than absolutely nescessary.

She quickly bolted out from behind the table and retreated into the nearby dressing room, and she had good timing, too. River Styx was bringing the fight right to them.

After marveling that she'd finally discovered a way for perfume to be useful for her, she'd grown annoyed when Odessa pussed out and hid behind the table. Probably trying to set up some kind of trap, thinking she'd be stupid enough to jump over it or move around. As if. That was the stupid way. There was a much more direct route to take, here.

Styx moved over to the table, reached down and lifted it over her head straight up with a quick heave, as keychains and chapstick and Hello Kitty! dolls slid off the metal surface. She then brought it straight down, trying to drop it right on top of Odessa's pretty little platinum head.

Odessa was surprised to encounter the referee behind the table. She was going to say something to the girl, but she took off before Odessa had the chance, heading for the dressing rooms. Odessa focused back on Styx.

She had been setting a trap for her opponent, though what Odessa had hoped Styx would do was attack head-on, ignoring strategy, ignoring tact. Odessa had wanted to use the table herself, push it forward and throw it into Styx. But the bald woman latched onto it before Odessa could do that, lifting it up into the air, letting all the items on it drop down around Odessa.

The ebony beauty quickly rolled, and didn't stop rolling. Styx brought the table down right where Odessa had been. it was too close.

Odessa would leap up to her feet and lunge at Styx then, trying to throw an elbow forward and slam it into her foe's face, knowing she had to get more intense if she wanted a chance at winning this fight!

Styx really hated to admit this, but she was having fun. The match had only just started, but it was turning into a fast favorite. Most of her matches since she'd gotten to the AFW had been fairly standard affairs. Not boring, exactly. She'd had some good moments. But they lacked the punch she wanted from a real hardcore match. She always felt so confined in a ring, rules or no rules. She still would have preferred a better setting, but being outside the ring made her feel more alive, gave her some room to stretch. Styx was loving it.

Now, if she could just crush Odessa and break her apart into a crying, blubbering mess, the moment would be perfect.

Styx tried smashing her to paste with the table, but she was surprisingly fast for a woman with such an impressive weight on her chest. It crashed and broke to pieces on the floor, and the failed momentum almost brought Styx to her knees.

The second she rose back up, she had Odessa's elbow to deal with, cracking her hard across the face and making her stagger back. Styx didn't fully recover, but she had enough sense left in her head to push forward and try to catch her with a clinch, hoping to lock Odessa down before she could rattle off another blow and trying to push her further towards the back of the store.

Odessa was getting some lucky breaks, and she knew she would need to rely on a lot of other things besides luck if she was hoping to pull out a victory today. But, for the time being, luck would suffice. She managed to roll out from under the table as Styx slammed it down on the floor. Then, popping up onto her feet, she threw an elbow that managed to catch Styx right at an inopportune moment.

The bald woman stumbled forward into a clinch, clinging tightly onto Odessa, shoving at her, trying to force the ebony beauty towards the back of the store. Odessa had no choice but to let that happen—Styx was strong, stronger than Odessa. She could really push.

But the Briton wanted to change positions. Wrapping her arms around her foe, Odessa would give a loud growl as she would try to utilize Styx's own momentum, twisting around and trying to show off some of her own strength, as well, as she would try to slam Styx back-first into one of the shelves full of cute underwear which lined the store's walls.

Styx had to admit that Odessa was a better trained wrestler than she was. There was no denying that. Anyone could see it, and it really wasn't much of a statement by itself - most of the Kawaiis were probably better trained wrestlers than she was, too. Students on their second day of training were better trained than she was. Pretty much everything she knew about wrestling came from watching it on TV and employing her own brute strength to get by.

It was rough. It was dirty. But it worked. Might made right, and as Styx pushed Odessa through the store, knocking aside as display, she definitely felt the truth in that motto.

It wasn't meant to last, though, as that 'training' thing once again came into play, and her own force was used against her. Styx wasn't even sure how it happened, since Odessa moved so quick and so gracefully that it happened in a flash of movement, but all of the sudden she was the one getting pushed back into the wall, with one of the clothing racks jamming hard in her back.

Styx grunted and gritted her teeth, but she didn't push off just yet. Odessa wanted to stay close, they'd get close.

She brought her arms under Odessa's shoulder and tried to catch the busty woman in a tight bearhug, pressing their bodies together tight and looking to put some serious pressure on those tempting ribs of hers.

Odessa flexed her wrestling muscles in order to turn Styx's muscles against her, turning her around and sending her slamming back into one of the walls. Odessa would put her hands on Styx's shoulders, pressing her into the wall firmly, trying to keep her stuck there. River Styx might have been somewhat stronger than she was, but Odessa was plenty strong, she felt, to do the less-strenuous task of simply pinning her foe to the wall.

Styx wasn't trying to escape from Odessa's grasp just yet, though. Suddenly, she put the squeeze on Odessa, slipping her arms under Odessa's and putting the Briton in a bearhug and putting some intense pressure on Odessa's cracked ribs. "Nnnhh!" Odessa hissed, clenching her teeth tightly and shaking her head a little as she fought to ignore the pain.

Pulling a fist back, Odessa would throw it forward as hard as she could into Styx's face, looking to free herself from the bearhug with a hard punch.

"Come here, bitch!" Veins bulged, muscles swelled, and bones creaked as Styx brought out her full power and crushed into Odessa's body, exerting fearsome pressure on her sides. It felt good. Like squeezing a stress ball, only with her entire body instead of just her hands, and having such a succulent body pressed up against her certainly wasn't an unpleasant feeling. If this had been a more casual setting and Styx was in a playful mood, she might've done a little gropping.

But this wasn't casual, this was a match. And Styx was very, veryrarely in a 'playful' mood. Sure as fuck not today.

"Gonna break you in half, gonna-" Styx's snarling taunts were interrupted by a fierce blow to her face that was almost guaranteed to create a black eye. It stunned her, and while it wasn't enough to make her let go of the hold, it did sap away most of the strength - for a precious moment, it was downgraded to being nothing more than a simple hug, not enough to hurt a wrestler who was even half of Odessa.

Odessa was frustrated that Styx was able to hurt her so much with just a simple bearhug. Odessa had been put in holds such as this one by plenty of powerful wrestlers in her time, but, thanks to the cracked ribs she had gotten during her last run-in with River Styx, this submission hold was really taking its toll on her. She grinded her teeth and balled her hand into a tight fist. Now, she was going to fight back, and fight back hard.

She threw that punch right into Styx's face, from point-blank range, without the grandstanding, taunting brute suspecting a thing. The punch wasn't enough to force Styx to let Odessa go, but she was forced to ease up on her hold. Odessa breathed a sigh of relief. But now was no time to ease up herself. She had an opening.

"What was that you were saying, dear?" Odessa would ask with a smirk, as she would pull her fist back again and send another punch into Styx's face. No sense in trying anything fancy if these punches were working wonders. Odessa would go for a third punch, and then a fourth, trying to get a rhythm going, hoping she could smack River Styx silly—or even knock her out.

This match was becoming frurstrating, and River Styx was historically not a woman who dealt well with frustration. Her typical method of alieviating that sort of stress was to beat someone bloody and raw, but that was sort of the problem, wasn't it? She was having a problem doing that with Odessa. The bitch was just stubbornly refusing to lay down and allow her ass to be kicked.

Styx was about to recover from the punch when another rocked her skull and made her head snap back, cracking against the wall behind for a little added damage. She smelled blood now, which she didn't mind all that much in any fight, but she preferred to start bleeding after she'd made her opponent do it extensively. Another blow followed after it, and that was enough to make Styx abandon the hold altogether.

She slid down Odessa's boy and fell to her knees from the pain...at least, that was what she was trying to make it look like. The black beauty had some mean punches behind that dainty little fist of hers, but Styx could've taken a few more before she was really in trouble - no, she was kneeling front of her rival for another purpose. Better positioning.

Styx swung her arm up between Odessa's legs and tried to score a harsh low blow, bringing her forearm up as fast and as harsh as she could physically manage.

Odessa usually preferred something a little more glamorous and a little less brutal than an all-out punching assault. She was masterful with submissions, and obviously enjoyed some of the more sensual or sexual moves, as well. She had exchanged punches in this way before, with Cecilia and to some extent with Lumi, but it had never been her first option.

She had to admit, however, that it proved very, very effective. After just three or four punches, River Styx fell, letting go of Odessa and sliding down to her knees. The ebony beauty remained on her feet, grinning down at her foe, towering over her. Thoughts of finishing the match right here came to mind for Odessa.

Odessa caught the subtle tilt of Styx's head and the certain, almost inscrutable look on her face just a second too late. She should have known that Styx wouldn't go down that easily. Before the Briton could do anything, she felt her foe's forearm smash into her undefended crotch, hitting her in her naughty bits with what felt like the full force of an asteroid impact. Odessa cried out in pain and stumbled back, bumping into a table and knocking off several small knick-knacks, her knees threatening to buckle.

Ultimately, Odessa would have to grab onto a corner of the table to keep from falling.
