Land On Your Feet!

"Try!?" Kat chirped and then grinned, waving at Yukiko. She then crouched and began to circle Akiko, her butt wiggling happily behind her as she shimmied.

'Ok, so I've done this with Seele a million times. It shouldn't be hard, right!?' Kat thought as she sized up her opponent. She then lunged at Akiko and tried to lock up in her best rendition of a collar-elbow tie up.

Both Akiko and Yukiko climbed up into the ring, while Maddie hung over at the edge to get a front-row seat to the action. Yukiko would then step to the side, as Akiko faced off against Kat.

"She looks pretty nimble..." Akiko analyzed, "But I can probably keep up no problem..." As Kat lunged at her, Akiko would attempt to match her grapple. Playing safe to start, she would just test her strength against Kat's.

Kat was the bigger of the two, despite her lanky build so when she locked up with Akiko, she was pretty sure she might be able to push Akiko back. She bent her legs, trying to think of all the things that Seele had taught her and pushed with all her strength.

"Rrrrrgh-nyaah!"

Though Kat had the height advantage, she was pretty light, allowing Akiko to match her as she pushed back.

"Nnnnnnngg.... Not bad..." Akiko smirked. Not interested in a stalemate, however, she would abruptly let go and step to the side. Hoping Kat would be thrown off balance and stumble forward, Akiko would attempt to trip her as she did.

"Whaaa!?"

Kat stumbled when Akiko let go and was hooked by the girl's leg. her arms flailed and she stumbled awkwardly until she flopped against the ropes. "Nnnn!" Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment and she tried to push herself off the ropes quickly.

Having a little giggle at Kat's expense as she watched her bounce off the ropes, Akiko fell into her fighting stance again. She currently had the psychological advantage, and so she prepared herself to attempt to counter Kat's next attack as well.

Without much to do, Yukiko just stood around impatiently. Though well aware Akiko's fighting style was more meticulous and slower-paced, but even that did little to ease her itch for battle. She fidgeted anxiously, secretly hoping Akiko would finish off Kat quickly so they could train together.

Kat pushed away from the ropes and spun around, shaking her head as she looked Akiko over. Seele's instructions weren't really paying off just yet. Kat didn't like the slowpace of grappling, really and so she charged at Akiko and tried to fling a kick into the girl's chest.

"Nyaaaah!"

Prepared for the attack, Akiko managed to catch Kat's foot, giving it a hard shove to try throw her off balance. Glancing over at Yukiko, she could tell right away that her partner was getting impatient. Really quite typical for her. Feeling a tiny bit guilty, Akiko decided to go on the offensive.

Rushing forward at Kat, Akiko lead with a straight jab aimed for her midsection.

"Waaaah!"

Kat was spun around when her kick was caught and performed an almost graceful pirouette only to get punched in the stomach. She dropped to her knees, cradling her tummy and groaned.

"Uwaugh.... I thought closed fists weren't allowed..." She groaned. She studied a little bit of the rulebook but maybe she had misread things?

"Huh? Really?" Akiko stopped for a moment, somewhat confused by Kat's statement. In truth, she only really skimmed the rule book, but she did remember both her and Yukiko getting away with quite a few punches during their fights. Were those just the no holds barred ones?

Seeing Akiko stop and ponder, Yukiko felt the urge to interject. She honestly wasn't any more familiar with the rules, but based on prior experience, she assumed she was in the right.

"She's trying to trick you Akiko-san! Don't listen!" Yukiko cried out, clearly breaking any sense of referee neutrality.
