Weeks had passed since Irene was officially accepted into the ranks of AFW's competitors, but had been spent with the girl exclusively picking up matches in the Tension league. The managers of Friction hadn't yet bothered to give her a debut against the mass of other girls who held most of the sway over the AFW's viewership. They had finally relented, and tonight would finally allow her to take to the stage against an opponent of her own gender, but the managers had booked her for something pretty rough. Fighting against Yuki Kanno, a girl like her who fancied submissions over too much brawling, the winner of this match would be decided through the use of the former technique exclusively. Irene would have to fight her for multiple rounds, with the first to score two falls being declared the victor. It was a good, serious match that would play to both of their strengths, but Irene had searched up some info on her young opponent before the match. Finding out that Kanno had more wrestling experience than her wasn't a big surprise, as Irene was still a relative newcomer who only pursued a career in the AFW to earn money for college tuition. However, it was still aggravating to know that the person she had to fight for three rounds had more experience than she in the fine art of tying people into knots until they scream and beg for it to stop.

Fortunately, Yuki didn't have much of a history in the AFW itself, and she didn't seem too bizarre or sadistic, unlike a lot of the other women in this league. To her credit, she appeared to simply be a normal person who liked wrestling. That was nice. Too bad Irene, by contrast, was a girl willing to cheat in the ring if the opportunity presented itself, and just like in most of her matches, Irene had a scientific trump card to play if she saw fit. Tucked into the dark purple, one-piece leotard that Irene would wear into the ring was a small, plastic tube of chemicals, to be used in a very unpleasant way against Yuki. Normally, Irene mixed up depressive chemicals like Ketamine, to make her opponents drowsy so she could pin them more easily. As this fight would require stimulating her foe's senses, however, Irene had simply borrowed some acetone from her school's lab. It was an unimpressive chemical used to clean the lab equipment after experiments, but it could cause pretty aggressive irritation when it got on human skin. Irene had her doubts about using the stuff, for fear of being disqualified, and Yuki didn't seem like a bad person at first glance, so Irene was remorseful at the thought of pissing her off knowingly. Still, if push came to shove, a little trace of the liquid down Yuki's wrestling gear might just “persuade her” to tap out.

Irene tied up her black boots and adjusted her purple leotard. Finally, she threw her lab coat on, for the sake of having something to cast off in the ring, and ran out onto the stage as soon as her music started to play. Never one to pay much mind to the crowd, the girl stayed focused on the ring, sliding underneath the bottom rope and turning once inside to lean on the top one, watching the entrance for signs of her opponent.

Yuki Kanno was busy getting herself ready for her new match in the locker room, she wanted to try somethings new during her entrance but appearance wise and effect wise which she hopes will appeal to the audience. It has been a while since her last match, but Yuki was still happy that she is getting more matches, it just shows that her short career has been pretty successful. She was excited for the match, it was a 2 out of 3 submission match, aside from having rounds it was another submission style match which is her forte. What she doesn't know much of is her opponent, all Yuki got was her name and that she was a brainy person but nothing much other then that. So once she enters the ring she'll see what kind of person this is. Once the Crimson Daze finishes getting ready, she heads over and waits to be called.

Some time later after Irene's entrance, Yuki's theme began to play and as usual she was absent for 5 seconds before entering the arena and standing on the stage in place. The somethings new was that she was wearing a pure black hooded jacket with the hood on and the jacket was covered with a few shriek lines or red spray paint, and at the same time rows of 3 spark fountains on each sides of the stage started shooting off sparks of multiple shades of red as she stood there idly as usual for a few seconds before the lyrics kicked it with the crowd cheering for her.

Afterwards Yuki began to walk down the ramp with a smile on her face, she loved what she does in the ring and really loves her fans and the acceptance they give her with wrestling as it makes her feel alive. She gave many fans high fives and fist bumps as she made her way to the ring, while getting a look of Irene who was intentionally looking directly at the girl. Seeing she was slightly shorter then Yuki and is wearing glasses and a lab coat over her leotard, now Yuki can see why she was called "brainy" in the description she got which got her worried. After climbing up up the apron, sliding between the ropes, then waving to the crowd, she turns to look at Irene with a concerned look while pointing at her face, aimed at her glasses. "You're not going to be wrestling with those glasses on are you?"

Irene snorted and rolled her eyes at the sight of her opponent showing off. There was a reason the young scientist never bothered with any of that crap: this was a fight, not a popularity contest. The fact that Yuki had fans wouldn't do a thing to help her if she got into trouble during this fight. It would all come down to her skill versus Irene's, although that still left the latter at a disadvantage. Yuki was the more seasoned fighter of the two, and as she climbed into the ring, Irene turned toward her and took on a cold, focused demeanor, demonstrating that she would take this fight very seriously.

At Yuki's comment, Irene simply responds with a flat “no”, before plucking her glasses off with one hand and setting them down inside her coat pocket. Following that, the girl undid the buttons of her lab coat and removed it, revealing the leotard and boots that made up her actual wrestling outfit. Placing the coat at the edge of the canvas, Irene faced her foe and assumed a grappling stance, eager to see the match get underway.

“My name is Irene Inger. I'm looking forward to tangling with you today.”

Yuki slightly frowned at her opponent's initial response, I guess she is one of those kinds of opponents huh? Either way though, she grinned a bit and placed a hand on her hip while leaning a bit as she watched Irena already get herself ready. She was raring to go already which was quite admirable, seeing someone want to get on with the show already and be really serious about it. Before they had to begin however, Yuki had a little something to do, take off her jacket.

She turns around and heads over to her corner as she takes off her hood, Yuki then takes off her jacket which she throws outside the ring for the stage hands to take and bring back backstage, giving a few more waves to the fans while she was there. Afterwards Yuki will turn back around and move back close to the ring's center, getting into her own Grappling stance while staring at Irene with a competitive grin. Ready to start the match herself.

"I'm Yuki Kanno, a pleasure to meet you. Let's have a good match together."

Irene watches with derision as Yuki deals with her coat, revealing wrestling attire similar to what she was wearing. She was happy that neither of them had bothered with clothing designed to dazzle or reveal, simply to be effective at covering things a wrestler would want to cover. Since this is the most serious match Irene has participated in so far during her wrestling career, she would be fighting her hardest today.

In fact, she didn't even wait for the match to start. While Yuki pandered to her fans, Irene walked up to her, stepping carefully so as to keep her footfalls silent. Should she get close enough, she'll whisper “surprise” before snaking her arms around Yuki's neck for a quick headlock. It's not meant to cause harm, but Irene likes to remind her more foolish contestants that turning your back on an opponent to wave at people is a bad idea.

“Don't lower your eyes to an enemy, Yuki,” she whispers in the young girl's ear before immediately releasing the hold and jumping back several steps. She won't attack for real until the bell rings. “This will be a good fight for both of us, a test of true skill. A test that I will pass.”

Irene widens her stance and positions her arms to guard or grab when necessary. Her eyes coast up and down Yuki's body, looking for issues in her balance, cuts, bruises, or deformities. Anything that she can attack with the best results. She'll keep doing this even when the bell rings with a loud *CLANG*, insisting that Yuki be the one to strike first. “Now, come show me what you can do.”

Yuki didn't even waste too much time at all with the waving to the fans, she did just one wave and that was it. She was about to turn around but her neck was snaked by Irene's arms. "Ack...!" Even though she wasn't being choked out at all or even being injured, it still felt the same as any headlock as she stumbles forward a bit. In that moment Yuki was going to bring her arms up by reflex and try to break free from the grip and even slam Irene, but as quick as it happened she already let go. The crowd apparently thought it was a sneak attack on the Crimson Daze and were booing at Irene.

Right off the bat after being let go Yuki instantly just turns around and looks at Irene with a puzzled "what the fuck" look over why she did that. "The match didn't even start yet, and fans are important to me since they support me as I give them a good show." She explained before shaking her head and just shrugging it off, now Yuki really wants to get into the fight now.

She got into her defensive grappler stance as Irene talks of how this match will be good for them, nodding and agreeing with most of it but sighing at that last part "The match can go either way, and if you act cocky and arrogant like that then it will cost you the match." Yuki stated as her last speech, for they now have a match to do. Once the gong rings, the crimson clad grappler will start to circle Irene, keeping an eye on her for an opening while also slowly moving in closer as she circles her.

As long as Irene was already being booed by the slack-jaws in the stands, Irene decided to enjoy herself by antagonizing them. Facing out of the ring, Irene stepped forward and stretched her arms wide in a mocking “well, what is it?” gesture that incites the crowd to boo louder. It seems that Irene has been transforming into more of a heel wrestler of late, at least from the perspective of the crowd. Really, Irene doesn't consider herself a bad person at all, but her dirty fighting style does seem to make people hate her. If Irene ever hoped to make any friends in the ring, she would have to consider reigning herself in a bit, even if she didn't want to.

“First of all, the fans are only here to see us hurt each other. Don't romanticize them,” she chides. “Second, I wasn't trying to be arrogant, only confident. My track record in the ring is kind of shitty, and people are starting to treat me like a jobber. But I'm not, and I'll be coming at your hard to try to prove that. Whatever happens, just know that it's not personal.”

Irene's words probably won't be very comforting, especially not if she decides to fight dirty in this match. Still, Yuki was a pretty nice, spirited person, so Irene wanted to at least try getting on good terms with her. Focusing on the match, however, Irene widens her stance and extends her arms to prepare herself for attack. She'll let Yuki move first...

As Yuki shook her head a few times at what Irene has been saying, she remained silent since nothing more had to be said really, as it was time for the match. While circling her opponent, seeing if she'd attack her first, Yuki notices that she expands her stance more in a defensive measure. A thing which instantly tells the Crimson Daze that Irene isn't gonna make the first move and is daring her to do it instead. "Tsk..." Usually in those cases, it would lead to a bad time if Yuki took the bait but right now she has no choice or else this would be a staring contest.

If she is to make the first move, then maybe Yuki can be trick Irene to lower her guard or focus on something to make her true move. With that in mind, she'll close the gap to throw her arms at her opponent to go in for a Collar and Elbow Tie Up grapple lock. If she does force Irene to focus on this, Yuki'll slip her right foot around her left to trip Irene then release her grapple to do a Spear like maneuver to tackle her to the ground.

Irene took Yuki's challenge (not that she had a lot of choice) and brought her arms up to tangle with her. It was a setup, though, and Irene shouted both from surprise and a little anger as Yuki unbalanced her by pulling one of her legs out of position, and then came crashing forward to push Irene down and into the mat, with Yuki on top.

“Clever girl,” Irene seethed as she tried to wrap her arms around Yuki's head and close her legs around Yuki's midsection for a sort of smother/bodyscissors combo. It was a sloppy strategy, but it was all Irene could manage on short notice, and she didn't want Yuki to gain a bigger advantage over her.

Yuki had succeeded in tricking Irene into the grapple challenge to bring her down to the ground, now she is on top of her opponent which should help her early right now. She was about to make a move to straddle her and maybe put her in a Grape Vine to wear her legs down, but then Irene wraps her limbs around Yuki in a Body Scissor style and hugs her face in close.

While it is true that Yuki is trapped right now it was not a good idea to leave her arms, and both of them at that, to be left free as well as the fact of doing this as a first move as it SHOULD be used when an opponent is tired and out of it to make it much more effective and even make them give up. It's not gonna work here.

So with both of her hands free, Yuki puts her palms on the mat and drags her legs up to get them onto her knees. After that Yuki will start throwing punches into both sides of Irene's torso, which should help wear her down to loosen her grip on her. At the same time she'll push her knees down to help lift herself up so if she does break the hold she'll come right out of it, and if she succeeds then the Crimson Daze will wrap her arms around Irene's thighs and stand her legs up before turning her opponent over then sitting on her back to put Irene in a Boston Crab.
