Qi Lingxian vs Blaise Cameron

And there Blaise went, going ahead and giving Qi false hope. The two count made her think she might have actually stood a chance at wrapping the match up, if this was a prank then the fist of compassion wasn't laughing right now. Who knows, maybe him and Chaung are in cahoots against Qi. Oh the scandal!

After Blaise kicked himself out of the pin Qi just sat on her backside, rubbing the back of her head and twirling a stand of her ponytail. She was at a loss for what to do next, her usual thing would be to start raining down blows onto her opponent considering their close proximity. But her arms were still a bit sore...

But regardless Qi decided to try and do just that, one hand keeping Blaise's forehead still and the other trying to rain down a few strikes onto his chest and chin. Although Qi could be open for a counter while she attempts to do this, after all both her hands are busy right now.

Blaise is sore and a bit stiff from the impacts his body's endured so far. But he has plenty of steam left in the tank to turn this thing around. He just needs his opening; that one moment to prove he's got what it takes to be in the ring with these other competitors. Despite the strain on his body, he just starts to sit up-

-only to find a hand pushing to his forehead. A fist then begins peppering his body with more punches. God, he's sick of punches. First Amy, now this chick! Like every person on this roster is a brawler! And when that fist thumps into his chin - extra painful and jarring, that - it sends him over the edge. "GAAAH!" Body twisting, Blaise fires off a wild haymaker towards the girl, not caring where his fist lands, so long as it lands and hurts!

If Qi was to be called a brawler she'd most likely be a bit offended by that, she was a martial artist not an overgrown monkey with hairless arms. Although Chuang might claim otherwise, but Blaise wasn't in a position to comment on that. Considering that Qi was raining down strike after strike on him, which was what she was good at.

"Need. To. Soften...Urk!" Qi was saying with each fist blow for emphasis, trying to drive her point home closer and closer with each blow. Only for Blaise to get a lucky shot in, his haymaker colliding right up into Qi's chin.

It knocked the fist of compassion for a loop, her eyes rolling upwards as she reels from the blow. Qi groaned and shut her eyes while crawling backwards, one hand clutching her chin to try and numb the blow.

The moment the punches ended, Blaise placed a hand to his jaw where she'd struck. The punch he'd landed on her chin was satisfying; a rarity for him. Punching girls in the face was definitely not high on his to-do list, and while he'd resort to it in a match, it was never something he took any particular joy in. This time, it's a little different. After taking so many friggin' punches, and to the face, he couldn't help but feel a cathartic release upon returning the punishment. Of course, Qi wasn't quite so bad with it as Amy had been. Unfortunately, Qi just happened to be the one to tip his psyche over.

The feeling is a rush, and it spurs an unusually aggressive side of him into action. She's giving him that opening he was looking for, and he intends to make use of it. He twists over onto his hands and knees and springs up to his boots. With her guard high around her chin, he makes to stomp a heel against the girl's stomach and keep her down.

Granted the strike to the chin wasn't the worst thing Qi had taken on the head, but it still sent her vision for a loop. A good thing that just in case Qi had stocked up on painkillers back at her place, something told the fist of compassion that she might just need them. More so considering the kind of trouble that she and her Brother got into on a near constant basis as martial artists.

Qi's face winced even more as Blaise stomped her belly hard, it seemed like he was now trying to mess Qi up a bit. Well Ms Lingxian had been in this position before, against people in Beijing when she was just a little orphan runt trying to protect her friends. But with the brief double whammy Qi wasn't in much of a state to try and counter just yet, although she did try to grab Blaise's leg and shove him off and away from her so that she could try and get back up.

The satisfaction keeps on rolling when bootheel meets abdomen. She shoves his foot off of her midsection, but he puts up no fuss with that. Blaise had intended to go about taking control of this match in a different way. He drops to his knees beside the girl and places his hands to her hip and shoulder with the intent to roll her over onto her front. If successful, he'll quickly swing his leg around her rear to mount her, restrain her arms behind his upturned knees, and lock his hands beneath her chin. Or her qin.

Get it?

Philistines.

If all goes according to plan, Qi is going to find herself in quite a predicament. Blaise is remarkably thorough with his submission holds, and the execution of his technique shows a solid level of refinement. His muscles are tensed where they need to be, his legs are bent at just the right height to achieve balance but keep her arms trapped, and he's leaning back enough to gradually ramp up the pressure along her back. It's a textbook camel clutch.

Typically Blaise would sass his opponent in this situation. But unusually enough for him, he's focused on dealing pain right now; on beating this girl senseless and vindicating himself. Qi doesn't necessarily deserve that level of aggression, even if it would be more standard from any wrestler besides Blaise. But Blaise is on a mission.

Qi wasn't in a good spot, she was an optimist by nature. But even with her glass half full outlook she had to admit this wasn't good, it seemed like her opponent was clearly set on trying to mess her up. Because Blaise was now getting her cinched into a submission hold.

The fist of compassion was feeling the pressure on her neck and back, she knew the submission. Since coming to friction Qi was taking every chance she could to expand her knowledge of moves, even if her preference was strikes. And besides using a submission move could help shut up her Brother if he ever got too annoying, but this was a different matter. Right now Blaise was clearly showing that he meant business, but if he thought Qi was going to go down from this he was wrong. She'd fight every second she was awake, that was what she knew.

Qi used her arms as best she could, flinging out furious elbows towards Blaise's chest. And struggling with her head as best she could, Blaise wanted to play tough then Qi would too. "Grhnnn!!" the fist of compassion grunted out of her throat.

Blaise almost robotically maintains the hold on her, drawing the girl into more and more of a backwards right angle. With her arms tucked backwards over his thighs, elbows are tricky to manage. Her arms jerk in their 'restraints', but there isn't enough range to generate force.

This is a bad situation for Qi. It would continue to be a bad situation if Blaise didn't have certain hangups. While something in him has clicked and is spurring him to be a lot more aggressive than normal, he has a nasty habit of dropping submission holds before he's milked them to their full potential. There's no telling how much of an advantage this hold could have given him, had he not released it.

Which he does. Now.

The girl is shoved down to the mat again on her front, her arms slung loose from his legs. Habits aside, he's still focused on that vindication, and Qi is still his target for this. The silent Blaise dismounts his opponent and grabs for her head to 'help' haul her back up to her feet. But as soon as they're both upright enough, he has every intention to slam a knee into her midsection to keep her pliable.

If Blaise was wanting to mess Qi up then she was fine with that, after all he wouldn't be the first who wanted to do something like that to her. And those who did usually failed, why did people think it was okay to try and pick on the cute little Chinese girl?! She wasn't a meek little flower, Qi was a dragon dammit!

The fist of compassion grunted out as she was flung down into the mat again, she kept her teeth gritted. In battle Qi tended to stay quiet, even when pain was upon her. It had been out of a sense of not giving her opponents the satisfaction of knowing they were working her over.

When Blaise was grabbing her by the head Qi was getting more and more annoyed, at the start she though that her opponent was alright. Although maybe it was just a ruse to try and have Qi lower her guard, okay no more nice girl. When Blaise drove his knee into Qi's midriff she took the hit as best she could, and then tried to use the close proximity to try and wrap her arms around her opponent and go for a spinebuster to him.

Blaise isn't thinking about who his opponent is. It could've been anyone, really. She's just a female-shaped body to him right now, one that's struggling and has to be weakened a bit more before the coup de grace. He's been enough of a punching bag! It's time someone else had some of that!

A knee driving into his opponent's midsection isn't really much of a new thing, but it's done with the fervency of someone trying to make a point - like the point of his knee trying to connect with her spine through her abdomen. And though the strike lands, Qi tanks it and wraps her arms around him to abruptly reverse the match momentum and slam him down on his back on the mat! "Aagh!" The teen bounces once from the impact before lying still, his back on fire, muscles sore, and his lungs burning. He can only lie there and pant to regain his airflow, leaving him vulnerable.
