Qi Lingxian vs Blaise Cameron

Qi sent her leg flying right out at Blaise's head, a blur of black jogging bottoms and black footwraps. She then landed on her back with a heavy thud and a minor grunt, that was an impressive blow to be sure. No doubt it was a case of boom headshot indeed, Qi took a couple of breaths to calm herself.

But seeing as how Blaise was blown away and reeling Qi took the chance to try for a pin attempt. The fist of compassion quickly moved her body so she was in a crawling position, no point in standing up for this one. Seeing as how Blaise was within arms reach for this attempt of course, so Qi quickly flopped herself atop her opponent and raised one of his legs. This most likely wouldn't work, but hey. At least Qi could pay Blaise back for that quick pin attempt earlier.

Blaise gives a little 'nnf' when Qi's weight suddenly flops across his body, but he gives no resistance just yet. His mind is too blurry, too unfocused to concentrate on that alone. He feels his leg hooked, drawn into the air with feminine fingers grabbing his bare thigh. Being pinned by a girl isn't an altogether bad thing, he thinks. At least it's a little enjoyable, for all of...

"One!"

...one second, so far. Wait. One? Someone else was counting! Blaise's eyes blink as focus finally begins filtering back in. His elevated leg bobs, working the energy back up.

Qi thought that beautiful kick would have sent Blaise for a loop, preferably one that would have allowed her to yank a quick win over him. But no it seemed that he had a good bit of fight left in him, Qi bit her lower lip in thought after Blaise kicked out of her pin attempt.

The fist of compassion shook her head lightly, before making to flip Blaise on his belly and grab him by the neck and near arm. Qi supposed it would have been a bit boring if her opponent was to be beaten so soon, she could expect a lecture from her parents about that to be sure.

Qi tried to get her opponent up to a vertical base, that was how she preferred it. It made striking, her main forte all the more easier. With a somewhat lop-sided grin Qi hoped to fling Blaise towards the near ropes for an Irish whip, and then move forth with a clothesline attempt. But if Qi's opponent could just duck under that arm......

Blaise finds the pressure relieved from along his torso, no longer under the pinfall. He was hoping for a moment to better clear away the metaphorical birdies spinning around his head, but Qi seems intent on keeping the pressure on. He's rolled over on the mat and grappled, pulled up to his boots again.

Still in a daze, the teen is whipped towards the ropes. Boots thump heavily across the mat, and only through some trained automatic response does he whirl around to press his back into the ropes instead of his chest. Springing back to her, eyes widened. At this point, he picks up what's happening. But rather than go on the defensive, he tries to turn the scenario around in his favor!

...By extending his arm to clothesline the girl across the chest.

Thus, the two are bound to collide with each other, his forearm and bicep slamming across her feminine body, her arm slamming against his toned chest. The impact leads him to land hard on his back on the mat with a little groan.

Qi was hoping to just keep wearing down Blaise, the guy clearly had a lot of energy. Thus it would be prudent of the fist of compassion to try and stay on the offense, and attack and attack and attack some more. That shining apprentice kick was proof to everyone that Qi could be highly effective when it came right to the direct blows.

And clearly Blaise looked like he could do it too, for he basically did what Qi was doing. And that was to clothesline right back at her, the close distance and sudden movements of Blaise made it too difficult for the fist of compassion to try and alter the situation in any shape or form.

Qi got floored by the momentum of Blaise's strike, although she thought inwardly that he had it just as bad and if not worse. But still it left the Beijing babe down on her backside, her face contorting into a wince as she tried to move backwards and away from Blaise. "Atitititititi...." Qi muttered under her breath as she tried to regroup.

Blaise has certainly taken more hits during this match, but then, that's essentially how his matches tend to go. One doesn't build up toughness by not getting roughed up! But he'd be lying if he didn't say he'd prefer to be the one dishing it out.

In good time, though! In good time!

For example, while his body aches, he has her right where he wants her! She's right on the mat beside-... wait. Blaise sits up, spotting her in her retreated position. Well, fine. He can adapt. Jaw set, the determined youth rolls over onto all fours and clambers to his feet again.

He can take this match back. He knows he can. He's sure of it! But he won't if he doesn't start following through with attacks and pursuing openings as they come! And that starts right now, while she appears to be recuperating! Without taking the time to really center himself or go through his options, Blaise rushes her in a blitz! He springs off the mat and curls into a ball, only to thrust his boots out together, aiming a heavy dropkick for her chest!

Qi was gritting her teeth, it seemed like just when the fist of compassion was setting the pace Blaise manages to pull the rug out from under her. Perhaps Qi should change up her approach, insanity was doing the same thing over and over and hope it would change after all.

The fist of compassion was scrambling to get back up to her feet as quick as she could, that was instinct and second nature to her. And not a second too soon, because Blaise was rushing right at her with intent on attacking with a dropkick attack.

Qi just managed to bring her arms up to block the attack, and her face contorted into a wince as her muscles screamed from the impact. But it meant that Blaise was now knocked down, and Qi was able to stay standing. Although she wouldn't be doing that for very long, as Qi would try to leap up into the air and crash down on Blaise with a bodysplash.

Blaise's boots land very against forearms in a very unsatisfying way, and the young grappler is doing his very best to not succumb to frustration. She always seems a step ahead of him! The teen lands hard on his back on the mat, but that's not a big issue - he'd anticipated that with the dropkick. But the girl popping off a quick bodysplash wasn't quite expected.

Qi's body lands over his soundly. "Unf!" Blaise curls slightly under her before lying flat, panting heavily under her. With Qi automatically in the pin position, the referee girl slides down to begin counting the pin!

Qi didn't really weigh all that much, considering she was about 5'5. Although Blaise was already down on his back, and the fist of compassion was slim as a martial artist. Although her arms were still screaming in pain, like they were numb to the near bone. Qi noted it, best not to bust out any palms of compassion just yet.

Seeing as how Qi had landed square into a pin attempt the fist of compassion planned to hook one of Blaise's legs, and the ref was starting for the one count. If Qi was honest there wasn't much chance that she could secure victory just yet. But hey she was there, might as well give it a shot and say she did it.

It's a cumulative effect, the hits he's taken and endured so far compounding on each other, right up until her body lands across his. It's true that Qi doesn't weigh much - he's had worse, in terms of splashes. But it still successfully winds the young grappler. Blaise's bare leg is drawn into the air, and the count begins.

"One!"

At least Blaise is still in control of his full mental faculties this time. He's aware of what's going on; that he's being pinned. And in truth, he lets it slide for a moment, taking the respite while he can and putting the burden of holding him in place on her. He simply breathes, deep inhales meeting with hard exhales.

"Two!"

Suddenly, that thigh pumps and his leg kicks out to break the pin!
