Amy and King- The Hunt

“So… yeah. If you’re not doing anything tomorrow, maybe we could meet up at the gym and have ourselves a little spar.”

Amy pumped her fist in triumph. She wanted to yell, too, but that might have blown out the speaker on Nathan’s cell phone. It’d been years since he’d initiated a match between the two of them; whatever Carmen was doing, it was working. Amy was going to have to send her a big-ass gift. A fruit basket, one of the really expensive ones. She paused. Or maybe an insulated cooler full of raw meat was more her style. Did Omaha Steaks deliver to Japan? Or maybe there’s, I don’t know, an Osaka Steaks? A Kobe Steaks?

Her phone made that pitiful beeping noise again. Why did that keep happening?

“Nathan, I love you, you know that right?”

“Don’t make this weird. I’ll be at the Tension gym until eleven, so come anytime before that.”

“Alright, Nathaniel, my love, I’ll see you tomorrow morning at the Tension gym. I won’t be mad though if you want to fight some other girl before I get there. I’m understanding like that.”

“Like I said, don’t-” But Amy’s phone died before Nathan could finish. Fine, it wasn’t like Amy was about to let Nathan get the last word. But Amy was annoyed; what was she supposed to do on her train ride home now?

Safety wasn’t nearly as big a concern; why should it have been? So what if she was crossing the near-deserted parking lot of the Tension arena in the middle of the night? So what if there was no life at all on the sparsely lit streets nearby? This was Japan. She was reasonably convinced that she and her little backpack would find their way safely back to her apartment by the end of the night.

So she kept on walking, blithely thinking out loud about what would best convey her gratitude to Carmen.

King just about to leave the arena after using the gym to work out, keeping his muscles all tight and strong, covered in sweats from lifting couple hundred pounds of dumbbells and some cardio jogging on treadmill, then striking on the punching bag easily pushes it a foot away from him, the beast is indeed powerful and dangerous, rarely anyone who have guts to face him head on.

After finishing is workout, he went to the locker room and packing his bag stuffing whatever he wants in it, zipping it up and sling it over his shoulder, keeping his mask on of course while in his track pants, no shirt on to cool himself off more easily, white tennis shoes and now heading right out from the room and to the parking lot.

"Ahhhh.... need some ice cold beer." King then pulling out his flip phone that have up to date technology since he prefer this than just a touch screen without the cover, its annoying, typing in the location on his next bar hop where he havent been to. "Hmmmmm...."

He knows where to walk while heading to the parking lot as he kept his eyes on the phone, doesnt expect anyone to run into him or anything, beside, anyone who DOES run into him should watch where they're going, King is big and easy to spot, no one should bump into him, or else would be a major regret. "Ughh..... I cant tell which one I went to.... damnit... all Japanese!"

There were a million reasons why what was about to happen should never have happened.

The parking lot was practically empty; only a few dozen cars dotted the lot, and most of them were much closer to the stadium because they belonged to the employees that came after most of the other cars had left, like the janitorial staff. There was of course the odd sedan or minivan further out from the buildings, probably belonging to a tardy worker working off the missed hours or a Tension gym goer with bad parking juju, but the fact remained that anyone standing upright in the lot stood out like a lit match in a dark cave.

Plus, it was an enormous lot. The arena was built to hold tens of thousands of fans at once. The parking lot also served the adjoining auxiliary facilities, like the gym and the medical center, and management had also made sure to have even more space to accommodate the odd parking lot brawl without having to sacrifice precious ticket holder space. So, despite there being a public rail stop nearby and the general lack of real estate on the island, the Tension parking lot was among the biggest open air parking lots in all of Japan. You could have let loose a team of blindfolded drivers there, and you probably would have had the time to finish your popcorn before you had your first collision.

There were a million reasons why this should never have happened. But, against all odds, Amy crashed straight into King’s sweaty back as she passed a red hatchback.

“Oops! I’m so sorry!” Amy had dropped her phone, and she bent over to pick it up. She unshouldered her backpack to put her phone away- there was no need for it if it was dead, after all. Finally, she looked up at the person she had crashed into, and she fell silent.

King wants beer, a cold beer, and women, women holding his cold beer and waiting for him to have some fun with them, if there were any of em exist in his reality but only fantasy ever happens to him, not for real, bugs him a lot. The beast stop for a moment and trying to focus on his phone so he can figure out where to go next, his car isnt too far either yet remembering he have to learn to drive it since its on the right side instead of left, damnit being reverse sucks but gotta learn what he gotta learn.

Regardless, the beast is getting more annoyed just spending time fiddling with his phone until something bumped into him from behind that pretty much surprised him, dropping his own phone to the ground, sadly, it breaks in half, the beast is in total silent and slowly turning around, glaring at the person who bumped into him, growling, angrily growling.

"What..... the.... FUCK?! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH THIS DAMN PHONE COST?!" King shouting at the girl, doesnt care what she looks like, how small she is compared to him, the mad beast just purely mad at her, he would even reach down at the collar of her outfit to pull her up, getting her face up close to his even get her feet off the floor too. "GRRRRR!"

Amy didn’t know too much about the rosters at the AFW. For example, she knew the names of the world championship title holders for both brands, but not their faces. And she only remembered Drake from her directory search because she ended up texting him.

But Killer King was notorious enough that his reputation had found his way into her ears, through one way or another, through rumors or what had to have been urban legends from the women’s locker rooms. She’d never seen a picture of King, but the leopard mask was a pretty big fucking clue. And though she'd heard stories, it really took a face to face meeting to get a sense of how gigantic he actually was.

"Eep." Amy dropped her backpack as she was lifted bodily by her cotton blue jacket. She couldn't help but be intimidated by the hulking mass of man in front of her. But his question made her blink. Her eyes trailed down to the broken flip phone- a flip phone- on the asphalt, then back up to the mask. Then her mouth, not for the first time, decided to get her in trouble.

"Um... was it free? It looks like it was a piece of shit, to be honest." Then the rest of her brain and body caught up all at once. Nimbly, she slipped out of her jacket and dropped to her feet, leaving her dressed in just her a white tee and blue jeans. Then she hastily retreated to behind the red hatchback, peeking out from the side. "Sorry about your phone, really. I'll pay for it." Stupid mouth.

King is so angry right now and this girl HAD to make it worst for him, bumping into him is slightly minor, making him drop his only phone is just major offensive for him and now turning to face the little bitch which shes really small to him, everyone is really, and grabbing onto her jacket to lift her up and start shouting at her until her little mouth start running off that made him even more madder!

"The fuck did you say?! THE HELL?!!" He wanted to smack her so hard that he would send her flying, though her body slip right out of her jacket as she escape from him and running behind the red hatchback. "Pay for it? How about pay with your ass beaten by me!" King had enough of this, that girl is gonna get it, the beast tries going around the damn car hoping to catch up to her, even reaching out for her hair to grab her, pulling the little punk into him.

Amy slipped easily away from King's grasping fingers, and led him in a chase back around the front of car. Good old hatchback. "Um, okay, but I don't think that'll pay for a new phone. I was thinking more, you know, yen."

Truth be told, Amy had actually hoped to meet Killer King in an official capacity. She didn’t have any delusions of beating him head on, but maybe in a hardcore match, one that she had made special preparations for, she could have beaten him. But here, now? With no place to hide and no apparent weapons? She’d be lucky to escape unharmed.

But she wasn't completely defenseless. Besides the fact that this was Japan, Amy had another reason to feel safe: Amy carried pepper spray. Amy loved to fight, but wasn't so naive as to believe that there wouldn't always be somebody better, and that somebody could have easily been a strange, unsavory, perhaps armed man on the street. Unfortunately, that pepper spray was in the backpack that King had just separated her from.

Once she had made her way back around to the first side, she sprinted away from the car, scooping up her backpack as she did. Somehow, Amy didn't think that King would have the courtesy to allow her the time to rummage through it to find the canister. She headed to the next nearest car, unzipping her bag as she went.

King followed the girl around the car like chasing a trouble kid who likes to play pranks with him, he hates it and so eager to crush that girl for simply ruined his night. "Well you know what? I feel so much better crushing you than paying me for money, wait, how about you give me money AND crushing you!"

She was moving too damn fast, just like a lot of women with their scrawny legs running so quickly to avoid and he couldnt reach his hands at her, she quickly gotten away from him, going around the car and rushing to her beg, King just snap and pound his forearms and fists on the car, making a huge dent on it. "FUCK RAH!"

He sigh heavily and going around the car to start following her from behind, King isnt very fast person at all nor want to move so quickly after doing his cardio not too long ago, he felt pretty tired afterall and needs some water or beer, something to quench his thirst.

"Damnit, get your ass over here so I can fuck you up!" Shes far close to another car, King should really try coming right at her hoping to get his hands on her somehow.

Amy rummaged through her bag. “Come on… come on…”

Then she was hit with a chilling thought. Did that mask even have openings for the eyes? Amy spared a quick glance to the approaching King, who was somehow winded from their little chase around the car. Hers was a small spray, and she’d never fired it before, but she knew from the label that the effective range was about ten feet. He would have to be pretty close before she could test it. She cursed under her breath, but she jammed the lipstick spray into the pocket of her jeans. She'd find out about his mask soon enough.

Amy stood up, legs tense, ready to spring away if he charged her. "Alright King..." she paused. "Hey, are you related at all to the "Wrestling Prince" Daisuke Takeuchi? I bet you guys would get along."

King can see her going through her dropped bag as he slowly approaching her closer and closer, possibly a perfect chance to snatch her and release his short temper on that punk just snapped his day. The beast is getting closer and closer to her while hearing what she got to say, he slowing down his steps and just confused on what shes talking about.

"Who? Daisuke Takeuchi? Who the fuck is that, some nobody?!" He shouted at her, only just few steps away like a huge monster, huge maniac, huge dangerous being hoping to reach for her throat this time, she wont slip out of her skin oh no she wont!
