Eliza Harenwood vs Kira Tenshin

In the back Eliza was getting ready for her first match of the year, ever since that tension battle royale the ballroom girl had gone back to England. To spend time with her loved ones over the holiday, and get her head straight. Ever since arriving in tension she'd had a significant loss ratio, something that Eliza wasn't too please about.

Granted she knew that as a Harenwood she was expected to give her best, but had Eliza really done that? Looking back perhaps not, so one of her new years resolutions was to become a better wrestler. And she had spent a bit of time in the British indy circuit, at the advice of her former boyfriend. It helped Eliza quite a bit, she felt like she had more moves that she could properly execute.

And finally she figured it was time for new attire as well, granted she still wore a dress to the ring. But this time it was black and red, the style befitting that of a salsa or flamenco dancer. Gone was the meek little ballroom girl, now there was the passionate woman.

The lights in the arena went black, and suddenly a red curtain draped itself over the place where the wrestler would make their intro. And then the song Pena Flamenca began to play as the silhouette of Eliza danced from side to side behind the curtain. After the song got past the ten second mark Eliza emerged from the curtain, the audience was in an uproar about seeing Tension's classiest girl had returned to grace the squared circle.

Eliza had a rose held in her mouth, as she danced forth down the ramp. She gracefully made her way towards the ring, standing atop the turnbuckle. Flinging the rose into the crowd for someone to pick up. Ms Harenwood then made her way over to the far right corner, and swiftly and elegantly removed her black and red dress. Under it was her ring attire, a large red and black corset with black stockings. Eliza then hung her dress on the iron post of the ring corner and began stretching her right leg on the top rope, waiting to see who she'd be facing.

If Eliza had a bad year last year, Kiras year had been catastrophic. While Hus family had all been enjoying success in the ring along with his retired mother, Kira seemed to have lost nearly every match he ever did. What was worse was the fact that his mother deemed his opponents easy.

Kira just didn't seem to be cut out for all this wrestling stuff. His mother was, and she too many title belts for Kira to count. Toshiko was getting better and better and soon may even have a title of her own. Kira... Well Kira was Kira. To start the new year his mother and self imposed manager, trainer and general carer had arranged a match which she deemed as a warm up. Although Kira had learnt by now, what she defined as warm up, was most likely going to be hell for Kira.

He had done his research. It seemed this sophisticated lady had just as much bad luck as he had, so maybe a victory was possible. Maybe. Once his opponent had finished with her intro, Kira would begin his walk down the ramp and into the ring. Kira didn't have a persona, a style or for that matter anything special about him. So his walk was just standard. His mother had managed to pick some rocky, metal music for him to walk out to. Nothing he would of ever approved himself.

Hoisting himself up into the ring Kira took a second to observe who he was fighting. The woman he saw before him looked nothing like the person he had seen on all of the videos of her fighting from last year. It would seem that maybe this girl was not such a pushover now. Walking away from the corner of the ring he climbed into Kira almost sheepishly walked to the center of the eing., not saying anything and generally trying to avoid eye contact. He didn't want to try and give anything away. Apprantly Kira was able to give his strategy away in Hus eyes and body language. Saying and doing nothing. Was his way of trying to protect himself from giving away information, but thevery act of trying to hide something spoke volumes about him anyway.

Eliza was quiet as she watched her opponent enter the arena, he seemed quiet. And tall too, the quaint notion of a tall, dark and handsome man entered the mind of the English aristocrat. That was a rare thing nowadays, even in the regal ballrooms of Britain.

But regardless Eliza blocked those thoughts out, this wasn't the time for daydreaming here. It was time to make all the training and energy that Ms Harenwood had built up since leaving Kyoto, the dancer moving her right leg up behind her. Holding it in place just above her head with both hands, a preview of what she could do with them.

After that Eliza would hold both hands in front of her and do a bow, saying in a polite voice "Good evening Mr Kira. My name is Eliza Harenwood, a pleasure to meet you. Let's have a good match." the English aristocrat gave a small smile and nod after it.

Once the bell rung Eliza would settle into her stance, one akin to that of a ballerina. She lept forth with her left leg, performing a pirouette spin after it in an attempt to confuse Kira. After that spin though Eliza would hope to fire out her right leg, hoping to drive her foot right into his gut.

When the woman spoke out Kira would just mumble a response, which actually turned out to be inaudible. Kira had just enough time to separate his legs and get into some form of stance that did not involve him standing like a grasshopper. Although the separates legs stance did not seem to help too much as it almost look liked he was trying to his own dancing.

Kira kept his eyes fixated on the woman, making sure to read or at least try to read every little body movement she did in the vein hope that he could predict what she was going to do next. The spin confused Kira greatly. His brain was trying to process why she would attempt such a spin. This causes Kiras guard to go down - not that he had it up anyway. The kick to the gut hit home. And it hit hard. Firstly Kira did not expect the girl to have any force behind her frame what so ever. Secondly the speed was phenomal. The kick hammered into the gut expertly, causing Kiras mouth to form a 'O' shape as he also doubled up and staggered backwards a few steps, giving the girl a chance to attack again.

If Kira was left alone he would straighten himself back up and take a second to draw a breath, getting back the one he had lost. In a desperate bid to try and carry the momentum back in his favour, Kira would crudly charge forward and try a clothesline move at the girls neck. In his mind it seemed like great idea. Backstage however his mother was facepalming herself, knowing that her son had more than likely charged right into a trap. After all, his opponent would of had ample time to prepare.

Eliza's kick had connected, the first strike going to her. In her mind this was important, it helped set the tone and pace of the dance. Ms Harenwood had years of dancing due to her regal background, and it granted her powerful legs. To the point where they were compared to swords, a bit much though in Eliza's mind.

But after this attack Kira had been sent reeling, perhaps he wasn't expecting much from Eliza? She had taken a step back and away from Mr Tenshin, and got herself ready for what he'd try next. And Eliza saw his forearm rushing forth at her like an axe to the neck.

It would be right at Eliza soon, and there wasn't time to dodge to the side. So Ms Harenwood let her legs slip down, dropping right into a classic splits. Which would earn several catcalls from the audience as they recalled the flexible body that the British aristocrat possessed. Eliza would then move to the side and get back into her stance. "Be forewarned Mr Kira, you would do well not to mistake me for a mere ballroom dancer." she'd say in her usual polite tone.

Kira was almost confident that his clothesline would hit, so much so that he charged with all of his power. When the clothesline missed his eyes widened in shock. He had just enough time to watch the girl drop down into a split and avoid the attack. Kira would smash into the ropes, bouncing back from the force.

Grunting in shock Kira would compose himself. Taking a second to process what she said. Something rubbed him the wrong way about what she said. Something that made Kira talk fir the first time in the match and also say something he would regret. "Dancing is not a fighting style. It us just for show offs"

In anger Kira would charge again and try to throw a punch directly at her soft face, trying to put as much power into the throw. There were however problems with the attack. His legs were out of place, leaving him vulnerable, he also forgot about range and got into attack range of the girl.

Eliza frowned upon hearing the words of Kira, she was being as polite as she could of course. But she blocked out the feelings, Ms Harenwood knew she needed to stay focused. Trash talk only worked if you let it get to you, and Eliza was a bit used to the slings of words in the ballrooms. But Ms Harenwood noted that Kira may require a lesson in manners, see how it went.

As Kira rushed forth like a bull in a china shop Eliza got herself ready, and would narrowly dodge the attack. Gracefully moving her body to the side, and prepared to deliver a counter. In the past Eliza might have been hit dead on as she still lacked ring experience, but this a passionate dancer who was a bit more wiser.

With regards to her counter, Eliza would swiftly slink out her left leg. Hoping to hook Kira's nearest leg and bring it forth, knocking the man off balance onto a knee. The dancing passion would try to then to leap up and swing her right leg out, hoping to fire her stocking clad lower limb into the side of Kira's head.

It was becoming clear that this match was already getting to Kiras head. Eliza had gotten under his skin, weaving around him like fluid water. Again Eliza would avoid his attack, making Kira feel sluggish. Before Kira had time to recover his footing Eliza was back on the attack. Forcing him Down onto his knees.

The move looked like something out of a fighting game, Kira dropping onto his knees, and seconds later Elizas leg smashed into his head sending Kira almost flying across the ring, his body huddled into a heap on the mat. Kira wanted to get up, however the blow to the side of the head had disoriented him, his vision struggling to focus. His mind knew however that he was in trouble. He would try to scramble to his feet, his body would fail him, causing him to sprawl out on the mat more. "Ughh....'

The crowd let out a roar of approval after seeing Eliza's stunning kick, Ms Harenwood was known for her kicks after all. Even when she was just starting out here in tension several people took an interest in her, after all it wasn't everyday a ballroom/ballet themed wrestler showed up.

Eliza landed on the mat with a heavy grunt after hitting the mat, but she could clearly see the effect her attack had on Mr Kira. It seemed that he hadn't expected such a one two combo, in fact Ms Harenwood surprised herself a wee bit. All that training back home did help pay off it seems.

Now to try and take advantage of this exchange, Eliza took a deep breath and got back to her feet. Seeing Kira splayed out like that gave her an idea. The dancing passion would rush forth towards the ropes, grabbing the top rope with both hands and kicking herself up into the air thanks to the bottom ropes for a bodysplash. Although if Kira was able to get out of the way in time then chances were good he could do something out of it.

It seemed as if things today were not going right for Kira. His attempt to try and get back into the game had resulted in a combo of moves which had now left him stunned. This was usually the point where a heroic comeback would be mounted. However this wasn't a movie and Kira was nowhere near as lucky as other people. Kira remained stunned the whole time. his vision just about focusing in time for him to fully see the bodysplash.

The splash had a worse effect on Kira than the kick did. While his face had been saved from the hit, the rest of his body screamed out in pain, causing a pained yelp to escape his mouth. His body, nearly bouncing off the mat from the sheer force of the hit. In a crude attempt to try and take back the match, Kira resorted to dirty measures, attempting to grab a lock of Elizas hair and pull on it to hold her in place. If he could stop her from getting up then he could try and fight back. The two previous hits however had weakened his reaction time, so there was no guarntee that he could grab it in time.

If by some miracle he had managed to grasp at her, he would try and yank the hair to hold her in place, using his other arm to try and hammer a punch down into her face. It was not fair, but so far... this match had not been treating him fair. It was time to start being nasty, it was the only true way he was going to survive.
