Peace Across (More) Worlds

Daisuke smiles at his comments from the previous nice before hearing what he had to say about Anya.

"What would you define as a safe career?" she asked him. "The job Carl has has a lot of risks and he's with someone nice as you know." She does try to convince him to go for it anyway. "It was clear to me she likes you and wants to get to know you better. Unless if it is something you're clearly not interested I think you should go for it." If he has doubts she'll help him prepare. She can't offer him much direct dating advice but does say things looked alright between them last night and that's a good sign.

He would say " I don't think she would understand the lure those arenas that I every so often when I am doing those shipping runs calls to my gladiator side. He would add " Anya probably would worry if I went back to that old life between those shipping runs and I don't want to give her needless worry that she doesn't need with her career." He would finish with " there is a amature boxing tournament coming up soon that requires a medical screening and I am afraid to go to ask for the physical being she will probably refuse to prevent me from participation."

"Maybe, but I'm sure she would know that certain jobs have certain risks. Just like the example I gave with Carl. He has a wife and a kid to suppose now, but all it could take is one bullet that is meant for me that he takes instead and ends it. The worry is always there but they try not to think about it. Besides you don't know for sure Anya would be like that unless you try." She gets what he is saying but still wants to see if she can still hook them up. "Unless if you're secretly gay and got no interest in women."

She quickly gets back on the serious side of things. "She is a professional at what she does. I've wrestled a few times and she's concerned about what might happen to me in there but she still does her job and does it well." She then moves closer to him and puts a hand on his shoulder while looking at him. "We're all in this together and whatever happens we all deal with it it, but trust me on this. I got a strong feeling you'll be missing out on something if you don't at least give it a shot. If you two go out and nothing happens no harm no foul. If something comes from it then great. She's very understanding and I know you two will appreciate each other's company."

If that doesn't do the trick she'll try some more peer pressure. If he is still having doubts she's sigh and tell him "Don't make me issue a royal order and demand you two go on a date." Usually she would not do that in a situation like this but she was pretty determined to get him to do go out with her and not try to find an excuse. She would try hard not to resort to that. Carl would pass by and hear what the two were talking about and he too suggests that Xerxan asks Anya out. "It doesn't have to be anything super special. Like a simple movie, maybe eat something before hand two or not. What do ya got to lose?"

He would look at her really confused as if he never heard the term gay before which is entirely true as he asks her what it means hoping she would clarify on it for him? He would wait for her answer then show her the huge list of movies the ship's AI made of movies being shown and says " anything you would recommend" as the list has all movie types with some of the theators pretty well spread out across the galaxy. He would add I promised I would take to a movie after she got some sleep." There probably was a movie that her kids were wanted to see, but wouldn't arrive on planet for several months from today at a space station port.

She grins a little bit before thinking of how to let him know in the simplest way possible but in a way he would understand the first time. "I'll give you an example. Know how Carl is in a relationship with Veldaris right? Well if Carl was gay that would mean he would prefer to be in a relationship with you or my husband. Pretty much it means when someone is interested in someone who is the same gender as them. It goes both ways so a girl could have the same feelings for another girl too. Then you get people who are bisexual and into both but that's different all together." She hopes that the information she gave him didn't overload his brain and his way of thinking.

"Wow...That's a lot. Can't say I've heard of many of these." Carl notices a few that he thinks Anya might like but since he still doesn't know much about Xerxan he can't really suggest one he thinks both might like. Daisuke softly tells him "If dating's not your thing and you just want to hang out with her I understand, but I really think it be worth it." She notes the movies Carl suggested, one of them she thinks she might have overheard Anya talking about. They all appeared to be playing close to each other. "Tell you what, since you have been working hard for us lately I'll do you a favour." She grabs her phone and makes a call, making dinner reservations for both Xerxan and Anya, asking for the bill to be sent to her and she'd take care of it. She mentions to him it's nothing fancy, just a typical sit down place she's been to a few times with her family.

He would gulp a bit remembering he nearly made a promise to try something like that not really knowing what it the others fighters meaning was, but someone else caught his eye so he forgot about Xerxan. When he settles down he says " I think I met more than a few fighters like that and seen they were some of the vicious fighters I ever seen" as he didn't realize the victims of the gays aggression probably made fun of their lifestyle choice. He would try to change the topic quickly by randomly pointing to a movie not realizing he pointed to a movie that was a space age version of Brokeback mountain which is easy to check what it was about to Xerxan's dismay as he didn't realize what he picked. He would pull out a gym membership card for a very nice gym that required membership which he earned by being responsible from a backround check from his work as a shipping pilot. He would explain " I guess those quick pick up and drop off gym equipment I did help the process" even though it mainly really lowered his membership price. What he didn't realize was Ferana might be at the gym working out herself. He would say " I think I will go workout a bit then wash up so he could take Anya out.

Carl noticed too and as Daisuke was making the dinner arrangements he tells him that they can easily see something if they wants, but he'll leave it for them to sort out.

Before Xerxan can disappear from sight Daisuke stops him. "I don't think Anya's the type of girl that would let things get out of hand on a first date, but just in case here's some 'picnic supplies'." She slid something in his pocket with a grin before telling him with normal looking smile "Have fun" before taking off herself.

He would nod them hoping nothing will get out of hand and wonders what Daisuke was referring to with what she sliped into his pocket referring to it as picnic supplies? He would say " I better get to the gym so I can get my workout done before I have to the diner and movie" as he heads off not really knowing what to expect being the last gym he regularly went to was small compared to the one he is going to know. He would pick up his gym bag then head over there looking amazed at the size of the building. He would check in then change to his gym cloths entering the workout area looking intimidated by how many people are there working out. He would start his work out waiting his turn for some of the stations that were popular by the patrons taking note of some of the sporting events held at the gym not realizing there was others taking note of him and sizing him up.

A few hours after he left her Anya woke up and was feeling better. She laid there a bit longer before pulling herself out of bed. Daisuke gave her a shout just before she got in the shower to see how she was doing. After getting a small update on work things, with some small stuff being moved around, Daisuke tells her to "Have a good time tonight," to which Anya didn't know what she mean. She managed to remind herself quickly however about Xerxan being over earlier and something about a movie being suggested. She thanks Daisuke before hanging up and getting herself ready.

It would still be some time before he was by but she wasn't bothered by it.

His time at the gym was pretty eventful managing to get through the light workout he desired along with having to deflect the offers of some of the personal trainers. He met with the owners after he showered to organize for different supplies to be delivered to the gym from other planets to get new equipment to keep things up to date with the latest trends. When he was returning to collect his things one of the assistants passed him an order for supplements that he didn't plan on bringing unless he knew they were authorized. Xerxan will say " I will bring this list to some specialists to tell me what they are, " but when he said that the assistant took the list away. When Xerxan left he would send a message to Daisuke with the name of the person he suspected was trying to get him to smuggle anabolic steroids without anyone elses knowledge. He would head back to change to his nicer cloths then head over to Anya's home to arrive 15 minutes before they were meeting up so they could chose the movie they were going to go see after diner.
