Alex Withers vs Hummingbird- Hardcore Submission Match

By the time Alex's vision had refocused, she got a clear view of Hummingbird's fist, right as it was about to impact with her face. As her head shot to the side from the punch, another fist pushed her face the other way, before a fast boot slammed into her exposed abdomen. Coughing and keeling over, she felt a pair of hands grabbing her by the back of the shirt and sent her crashing shoulder-first into the nearby turnbuckle.

Hummingbird had successfully managed to get Alex to the turnbuckle and she had numerous possibilities to attack her there. However, she was also aware that the turnbuckle can also be a place where the opponent can reverse the attack when one leasts suspects it. Keeping that in mind, she would quickly run to Alex while trying to think of a good attack to make it seem uncommon to defend.

Once there, Hummingbird decided to try and grab Alex by the arm to spin her a little in a circle. If this worked, she would fling her again into the turnbuckle for another crash against it.

Alex was by no means a tactician, and getting backed into a corner didn't help her situation. Nearly as soon as she had crashed into the turnbuckle, Alex found herself grabbed by the arm, spun around, and launched again into the corner, back-first this time. She let out a yelp and arched her back at the impact before dizzily slumping into it, her arms hanging over the top ropes.

That swing took some doing, but Hummingbird had done it and Alex was once again open for attack. What else should she do? She already used up some strength previously in throwing her punches and even tossing her opponent about. She wants to save the remainder of her energy to pull off her special, so she had to think fast before Alex can recover.

Suddenly, an idea came to her head, a move that Hummingbird had learned so long ago that was passed onto her and her sister by their late father. It's been a while since she had done it, but she has to make it count. So, while Alex was slumped against the corner with her arms over the top ropes, Hummingbird would run over there to try to jump up onto the middle ropes and punch her opponent in the face three times.

If she can stun her with this, she would also jump, wrap her legs around her neck, and flip backwards to throw her forwards in a headscissors takedown.

As Alex slumped into the corner of the ring, her attention was brought to the small pink-haired girl racing towards her. Two fists crashed into her face before she raised an arm to stop the third. Unfortunately, her block did little to protect her as Hummingbird's legs wrapped around her neck, flipping her over onto the mat with one smooth motion.

Hummingbird was now trying to catch her breath as that combo had took quite a bit of effort and energy. It had a lot of open weak points and was vulnerable to being reversed, but it was effective. Now with Alex on the mat again, it looks like the advantage is once again hers.

She would rush over to Alex again and try to put her onto her stomach to sit on her (unless Alex was already on her stomach). If this worked, Hummingbird would put Alex's arms over her legs and then pull her chin up for a camel clutch.

Hitting the mat sent a painful shiver down Alex's spine, but soon the other girl was rolling her over and pulling her head back, and hard. This wasn't doing her spine any favors after that fall, but Alex figured that if she was going to get out of this, she'd have to do something about it. After the hold went on for a short while, Alex let out a painful grunt as she arced her back end outwards, slowly but surely pulling herself to her feet until the smaller girl was hanging from her neck as she stood up.

Hummingbird would pull back on Alex's chin and she knew that her opponent was feeling it, but she didn't expect her to get on her feet again. Never in her life had she seen any fighter do such a thing to try and get out of this hold. However, she decided to go on with it and release Alex once she was up.

Backing away, Hummingbird would say, "You know, Alex, you're pretty persistent to keep fighting and hardly show any signs of giving up. I respect that about you."

When Hummingbird let go, Alex took a moment to rub her neck, when her opponent delivered an unexpected compliment. At first, she wasn't sure how to reply, not completely sure it wasn't some sort of taunt. But hey, might as well treat it as genuine, the extra confidence couldn't hurt.

"Thanks! Guess I just don't see the point in quitting while I'm already here!" she gave a smirk as she replied. With the opportunity to take the offensive, Alex closed in for a bearhug. Of course, Alex didn't really know how to deliver a proper bearhug, so it was more like just a really awkward hug in the middle of a fight, but maybe if she applied enough pressure it'd do something other than make Hummingbird blush.

Looks like Alex was quicker than Hummingbird first suspected as the other girl quickly went from taking the compliment to giving her what appears to be a bearhug. However, Hummingbird noticed that the hold isn't quite properly executed. Still, she would just take it as a regular hug for a few moments, even if she would grunt a little from a little pressure.

Then, Hummingbird would attempt to raise up her arms and swing her fists to hit her opponent in the face as best as she could in hopes of being released.
