Post Summer Splash Bikini Special! Angel vs. Natasha!

Angel was stubborn, but there was more to her then just her stubbornness. It seemed like she was always catching people off-guard by just how much stamina she had, how much she could take before finally going down. The Latina was tough, she knew how to take a beating and keep fighting back, and she planned on giving Natasha a first-hand lesson in that, right here and right now.

Sadly for her though, Natasha had other plans. Angel's hands came up, trying to grab for Natasha's wrists, to try and pry her grip free from her hair, but the bluenette suddenly lunged forward, dragging Angel along with her. Before the Latina realized what was happening, Natasha slung her towards the corner of the ring, and naturally Angel flew towards it, a wild, panicking look on her face.

She managed to turn herself around at just the last second, slamming back-first against the turnbuckle. She let out a howl, her body writhing in the corner for a few seconds, before her movements halted, Angel simply standing there afterwards, leaning against the corner, breathing slow and heavy, looking tiredly back across the ring towards Natasha.

In her head Natasha had known or rather thought she had known exactly what needed to be done for her to walk out of this ring with a win over the champion, so long as she followed the plan she could have overcome even the resilience of Angel, she had been certain of it. Angel however hadn't been making anything easy for her, forcing her to rethink what she needed to do next so often that she had long since forgotten the game plan she had walked into the ring with. Without a plan Natasha was acting on her instincts alone, their match having turned into more of a brawl than a wrestling match some time earlier.

Not that she minded, Natasha was fully capable of going toe to toe with anyone in the AFW and that included Angel. The woman was fighting back but she still had control, throwing the champion head first towards the corner of the ring with Angel only just managing to turn around in time and save herself from running face first into the barely padded metal. Natasha paused for a moment to catch her breath before making a dash right for her, Natasha already picturing herself leaping up to embed her knee in the woman's stomach.

Natasha's pause was all the time that Angel needed. It was more then enough time for the Latina to catch on to what was happening, and start building up her strength to stop the bluenette's continued assault.

Angel braced herself, waiting patiently as Natasha began to dash across the ring. She leaned against the corner, biding her time, waiting on Natasha. Then, as the Frenchwoman finally covered the distance between them, drawing herself closer to the Latina, Angel ducked out of the corner, lunging past Natasha as she dashed in, getting out of her way and leaving nothing but empty space and the turnbuckle to meet the Frenchwoman's charge!

Natasha's feet left the canvas with the expectation of driving her knee deep into the midsection of Angel and ending the match in a big way, but what greeted her instead was not the soft belly of her opponent but the unyielding steel that laid behind the padded cover of the turnbuckle. Her knee erupted into a white hot pain only an instant before her stomach did much the same as she landed with the top turnbuckle being driven into her own midsection. "Gaaugh!" Natasha cried out as she hung there from the top turnbuckle.

Through the pain however one thought managed to get through, telling her she had to get out of the corner and face Angel or the match was already over. Gritting her teeth Natasha shoved herself backwards but the moment her newly injured leg touched the mat it buckled, Natasha spinning around awkwardly with the one leg bent at the knee as if she were going to collapse over to the side.

Angel lunged out of the corner, and was greeted by the sound of Natasha slamming her knee and her midsection against the turnbuckle. That was music to her ears, it was. Just the sound she wanted to hear.

She stumbled away from Natasha, and quickly turned back to face her, determination on the Latina's face, Angel ready to try and end this match once and for all. They were both tired, and hurting, and she knew it wouldn't take much more to end this for either of them.

She quickly readied herself, and when Natasha turned towards her, her leg buckling under her, Angel knew she had the perfect opportunity to strike. Before Natasha could collapse, Angel lunged in towards her, shooting her leg up towards the bluenette, trying to nail her with her Angel's Kiss superkick finisher!

As Natasha turned to face Angel she knew she wouldn't have much time to come up with a way to counter whatever it was the woman had in mind for a follow up, but even she hadn't expected Angel to already be in mid flight with her foot sailing through the air towards her. Natasha's mouth opened as if to speak but before any words came out the kick connected, the Frenchwoman's head snapping to the side while the world began to spin around her.

Her legs gave out beneath her sending the woman crashing down onto the mat, Natasha landing on her side with her head bouncing off the canvas. Somewhere in the back of her mind was a voice yelling at her to get up, to roll towards the edge of the ring where the ropes would save her, but her body refused to move even an inch.

When Angel's foot connected with Natasha's jaw, when that oh-so-familiar tingle from the impact ran down her leg, the Latina knew she had this. She had caught Natasha completely by surprise, and the girl had went down hard.

She wasted no time after that. The moment Natasha dropped to the mat, Angel was there, dropping down beside of her. She quickly rolled the bluenette onto her back, and slid onto her, her bare, sweaty skin sliding against Natasha's own as she pressed down into her, lifting up one of her legs for the pin.

The referee wasted no time either, running into place and dropping to the mat beside of them. She slapped the mat once, starting her three count, and the audience leaned forward with anticipation, wondering if this was finally it.

"One..!"

Natasha had barely hit the floor before Angel was upon her, pushing the blue haired woman over onto her back and lifting up the leg to secure the pin. The referee had remained on alert since Natasha tried to pin Angel for she had sensed the match was coming to its conclusion, dropping down beside them as she began the count with a loud "One!" that silenced the crowd.

The sound of the referee's voice seemed to be coming from some far off place to Natasha who could barely hear it over the ringing in her ears, the kick having sent a jolt of pain shooting down her spine and throughout the rest of her body leaving Natasha barely able to think let alone move. The count of "Two!" caused her to stir as it sounded louder than the first, but when she tried to raise her shoulder she found her body felt heavy, far too heavy for her get up.

It slowly dawned on Natasha that it wasn't her body that was so heavy but that Angel was laying on top of her, the woman's senses slowly returning to her as she got over the shock of the unexpected blow to her head. "What?" Was all Natasha groaned out before the ref slammed her hand upon the mat for the third time and yelled out "Three!"

Angel pressed down against Natasha, her bare, exposed chest pushing against the heiress, the Latina closing her eyes in anticipation. It seemed like the seconds were just dragging on as the referee counted out the remaining two counts.

When the finally word left the mouth of the referee, when that last syllable hit Angel's ears and the bell began to ring, signifying her victory, Angel sighed in relief. It was finally over. She dropped Natasha's leg back to the mat, but remained lying on her for a few more seconds, her nearly bare body resting snugly and close against the Frenchwoman's own. After several seconds went by, Angel began to rise to her feet, opening her eyes with a smug grin on her face as the crowd roared and cheered around her.

She headed to the center of the ring, where the referee was waiting with her title belt, having already retrieved it for the champion while she was resting. Angel gladly accepted it and thrust it into the air, electing a second round of cheers and applause from the attending crowd. She spread her feet wide and basked in the sound, keeping her belt held high, her other arm resting against her chest, covering her naked chest. She grinned wider, despite her exhaustion, glad for the long, sweaty match to finally be over.

Natasha remained out of it for much of Angel's post match celebration, the woman laying there on her back staring up at the clouds while the crowd serenaded the champion with their congratulations. While her body wasn't quite ready to stir yet her mind was and in her head Natasha kept replaying the last seconds of the match looking for the mistake she had made, only to realize there wasn't one, Angel had just proved the tiniest bit quicker today and that had cost Natasha the match.

To have come so close to defeating the World Champion left a bitter taste in her mouth even if she knew she should just be glad to have made the woman work as hard as she did for it. Groaning Natasha forced herself to sit up, gingerly holding the side of her head Angel had kicked. Looking up she saw Angel with her title raised above her head and not wanting to interrupt Natasha remained where she was, letting Angel enjoy her win while she dealt with having come up short.
