Re: Topic: Wrestling?
They are no DQ matches by default so anything goes.
And the wrestling audience doesn't have time to wait around for big spots. They need them all and need them now or they get bored.
Wrestling will evolve into people just doing finishers on each other and kicking out of them for 10 minutes.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
Ladder Match: Good, if dangerously sloppy.
The Miz vs Usos Handicap Match: The crowd liked Mizdow, so that was cool. Aside from that, nothing worth caring about. Uso's were doing the best tag matches in years against The Wyatts, and their performance since ending that feud makes me think the Wyatts just carried them, cause they haven't been even remotely interesting since.
Steel Stairs match: About 10 times better then it had any right to be, totally worth it. Looking forward to seeing one next year.
Tables Match: Surprisingly good and fun. Reigns got a big pop coming out, and I admit, even I liked seeing him do his stuff again, it was actually pretty cool.
Then they let Reigns talk, and the dumbass just flat out froze on live PPV. Seriously, do they have NOBODY who can teach Reigns how to cut a promo? Is every single wrestler so utterly complacent with being handed words to say every week that nobody can even offer advice to Reigns? It was just painful to watch.
Chairs Match: Was Blah
Rusev vs Swagger was Blah
TLC Match: Like a lot of the show, just seemed like if it was a step off the whole time. Plus, Ambrose buddy, if your gonna do three "Leap off things to put Wyatt through tables" moves, how about three DIFFERENT moves? Like, maybe I'm an asshole for saying it, but thats the first time I've ever seen a dude jump from the top of a ladder onto a guy on the announce table and be almost bored with it. Maybe there was some production issue or something, cause it even sounded almost like there was no impact.
Plus that was the dumbest ending ever. Seriously Dean, you lost, not because of cheating, or interference, or because Wyatt was better. You lost because you suddenly became really stupid, and then you got sparkles in the face.
So yeah, some good overall matches, but like with how Raw has been ever since September, nothing actually noteworthy or important actually happened and I wonder why I should even care.
Tonight just felt like filler. Nothing really advanced or really happened. People wrestled. It was a thing. That's it.
I read somewhere that WWE is resembling 1995 more and more these days, and I'm seriously inclined to agree. 2014 started with promise and was great, but everything since Summerslam has just been...pointless.
It's obvious, I think, that when Vince claims he "listens to the crowd" he's only listening to the kids who still think John Cena is hot shit, and when he says "I don't listen to critics", he basically means he doesn't listen to anybody who dares tell him his product isn't perfect.
The bright side is, as fucking terrible as WWE in 1995 was (I remember watching it when I was 5. I became a WCW fan), it all lead into bigger and better things.
Of course, the down side to that is now there is no competition to force Vince's hand, so I guess the only way to force WWE to improve now, is to stop watching.

Raw has been good lately >.>
All the build up to TLC has been pretty excellent.
I think that the table didn't collapse properly off the last ladder. Ambrose sort of bounced, instead of impacting.
But yeah, that ending was pretty much super lame. It wasn't even Ambrose being stupid because things don't explode that way, it was pretty hard to do a suspension of disbelief for that even if it's wrestling.
