ThatÂ´s what happens to the big faces at the end of their careers as the only big dog, although that looks really brutal to be honest. Hogan did the job to Rock and Lesnar, Michaels and Hart for Austin, Rock for basically everybody. It remains to be seen if Cena is big enough to shrug the losses of like Hogan, Austin, Hart, Michaels and the Rock, who everybody still loved after their time as the big dog was over, just listen to the standing ovation when Hogan returned to Smackdown 2003, or when the rock returned 2011. Or basically everytime glass shatters^^

I would have also included HHH, Edge, Undertaker, Kurt Angle and Jeff Hardy on that list, but they were never THE big dogs(although Edge, HHH and Hardy were really close).

What are you talking about? Cener won't be done being the big dog until he has more "titles" than Flair.

That will be only one or two reigns, Cena could earn them in the next year. And I really think he will start to share his top spot now. In a more dominant fashion like a guy of Michaels calibre of course, but it is no longer the Cena featuring Raw show. At least I hope so.^^

Besides, Ric flair is only a two time WWE champion and if I remember well, some of his reigns are not even WCW world heavyweight reigns, but territories titles. So even if WWE wants to sell that, its moot anyway.

It's by amount of titles, not quality of titles. That's what they go by, I'm sure. Because if it was by THAT, then Cener got most of those titles by losing the belt and winning it back the next day, which is a load of crap.

Your thinking of the NWA Heavyweight Title. Not as it is now, which is worth less then the TNA title at this point, but Flair was winning that belt back when the NWA was actually a strong company with territories all over the country and defended in other countries as well. Back in the 70's and 80's when Flair, among others, was winning it, it was actually on the same level as the WWE Title and what would later be the WCW title.

In other words, Flair's title wins have both quantity AND quality, while Cena......well, he has quantity at least.

I have no doubt that these reigns were meaningful, but the WWE had not that big of a hand in Flair winning them, as WW(extra W? not sure...)F was only a territory like any other at this time?
