Re: Topic: Wrestling?
So the Summerslam results page refuses to tell me if titles changed. Were those both legit wins or DQs?

All three matches so far have been legit wins.
Ziggler beat Miz, Paige beat AJ, and Rusev crushed Swagger. It's pretty a surprisingly good show so far, I'm impressed.

I thought it was a pretty darn good PPV in general. Though I don't really know who they are saving Russev for o.O

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
They'll do one more Swagger rematch.
They'll push an angle like "Rusev never really beat him! He didn't submit!" or something. They'll end up in an I Quit or a Submission match to finally end the feud.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
So after some early issues with lag and such, by the end of the first match, everything ran damn smooth on the network.
I gotta say, this is the best Summerslam since 2002, and it stands on the same high quality level that the 2002 edition did. Every match delivered, it was fun, had several surprises, I honestly can't think of a single bad thing about it.
Hell, even the lumberjacks did a damn good job, nice to see most of the roster earned a SummerSlam check.
So yeah, I'd go as far as saying this the best PPV WWE has done this year, and WWE has done some good ones this year.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
The PPV as a whole was pretty damn good. The lumberjacks especially just went above and beyond to help make that match fun and exciting.
The only low points for me personally were Wyatt/Jericho (because I just honestly could not care about Bray anymore, thanks for killing his momentum, guys), and the Brock/Cena match (because I hate Lesnar anyway and seeing him just German suplex Cena over and over and over and over in a giant squash just bored the hell out of me).
Oh yeah, Brie/Steph was a huge letdown too. Probably the biggest letdown of the night for me? Nikki's SHOCKING SWERVE was dumb. This should have finally been the night that Steph got her comeuppance for all the shit she's given D-Bry and the Bellas this year, but NOPE.
Come on, Steph. If you're going to try and push yourself as the big bad evil boss, you need to study what your dad did. Even he knew that the evil boss needs to get what's coming to him every once in a while.
Other then that though, the PPV was pretty damn awesome.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
Wyatt should be on the upward track after this, if their smart. He actually did need to finally get a win on his own merit, since all his other wins had interference. Now that he's proven he actually CAN get the job done on his own, there is no reason not to build him back up.
Bella/Steph was fine. Actually pretty damn decent Diva's match, considering Steph's absence from the ring. Triple H even bumped for Brie. John Cena never once bumped for Lita during his long ass feud with Edge in 2006. Ironically, "turn the friend/family/tag partner against my opponent" shtick is exactly the kind of thing Vince McMahon would do. Vince DID get his ass kicked at the end of his stuff, but he also had at least one big moment where he walked out on top as well.
Cena/Lesnar did EXACTLY what it was supposed to do. Cena Dies a thousand deaths, Lesnar looks badass. His "Undertaker Situp" and follow up laughter was just evil. Brock was clearly having fun tonight and was entertaining too. I don't even mind the multi german suplexes, because frankly, few moves look as devastating as a german suplex. Some of those just looked outright painful.
Reigns/Orton and Miz/Ziggler were both really fun too. Aside from the lack of bikinis for Paige and AJ, I take no issue with tonight.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
A lot of heel wins, except for the IC title and Reigns. WWE is probably serious about making Reigns the next topstar, or wanted to sell the network to the male demography with a crushing Lesnar win.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
yeah, I actually liked the final match. Even if I don't care much for Brock, there's something really satisfying about seeing Cener get the shit kicked out of him. Even if it was basically just suplexes.
