Soul Calibur is only topped by Dead or Alive in fanservice.

That being said, Soul Calibur is also one of the few 3D fighting games to attempt a legit game branching story line, most of it was pretty good, until 5 fucking ruined it.

Personally, I think Soul Calibur could really work as an action/adventure kind of game. If they ripped of Legend of Zelda anyway. XD

The only other game that really tries a big game branching extensive storyline currently would be Blazeblue....but holy fuck is that a confusing fucking storyline.

I bought 5 the day it came out and my god.... they really fucked up with that game, especially with the crappy main character whom I really want to die a slow a painful death.

I still have that game on my shelf and I want to burn it, the only highlight in that game for me was Pyrrha becoming Pyrrha Î

and kicking Nightmare's ass.

2 was probably the best game overall. It even had a full story with its Chronicles of the Sword mode, which I found to be more fun than the version from 3.

If they could just do a Chronicles of the Sword mode, but make it an Action/Adventure style thing, it would be glorious. Especially to actually see the games beautiful stages developed into full levels. Hell, even a hack and slash wouldn't be too bad.

Yes, I know Soul Calibur Legends exists. I'm ignoring it because it fucking sucks. I meant a GOOD Action/Adventure game.
