Red, White and New
Allie sat on her stool eying Syd's sake cup. Japan let people drink when they were twenty, not twenty one, which would have been fine if Allie wasn't still nineteen. But she doubted that Syd would care if she ordered more than she was going to drink and Allie swiped a taste. She looked over the white haired girl. Syd didn't really care about anything. Frankly, Allie found her to be a little dull. All she had done on the plane ride over was read some large book that looked boring.
But there were parts of the girl that were definitely NOT boring. When she was in the mood, which was often, Syd was thrilling to watch. Unadulterated carnage was a good way of describing her and it made Allie tingle in ways that felt a bit naughty when she watched Syd in action.
Unfortunately, this was the woman she was going to spend a long time with in the future. She was determined to make the most of it. If they couldn't be friends, and Allie wasn't even sure if she wanted to cross THAT line even if Syd herself was interested, which it seemed she wasn't, she at least wanted to have SOME kind of connection.
That's why she decided to bring the girl here to the bar. She took a sip from the juice she had ordered (Apparently, that's what they served to minors in Japan. She was surprised she even managed to GET a drink considering that she barely knew any of the language other than tsunami, kamikaze and, thankfully for Syd, sake) and wrinkled her nose.
"Ugh! So sour!" She protested and looked at Syd. "I'm glad we ate on the plane. If this is how the drinks taste, I can't imagine what the food must be like."She had expected for every restaurant in Japan to be like a Chinese take out place but with a quick browse of the internet, she was already on the verge of puking. Everything looked so gross! She just hoped they had SOME normal food. Allie waved her hand, dismissing her comments and testing out another sip. Her nose wrinkled again, but less so as she tasted the juice, studying its flavor.
"So...." Allie said, smiling at Syd, leaning her large chest against the bar. There was one language that any man spoke and she definitely liked to make sure she was talking up a storm, though the red and white haired "gaijin's" didn't need any help to get stares.
"Aren't you excited to be in Japan!?" She questioned. "Isn't this great? A new start, a new life. Have you ever even been out of Chicago before today?" She asked, tilting her head and looking cheerfully at Syd.

Re: Red, White and New
Syd snorted. She wasn't worried about the food, but Allie was a whiner. It was pretty annoying. She took another swig of sake.
She turned her empty glass over in her hand and cast a disdainful gaze at the small carafe in front of her on the bar. It was nearly empty already, and she was barely even drunk. The Japanese were apparently all lightweights.
She leaned forward until her forearms rested against the bar. Her long, white pony tail ran all the way down her back, save for the few locks that hung at her shoulders and around her face. Her eyes blazed red, thanks to contacts. She wore them almost all the time now, and every day since arriving in Japan. She'd seen other wrestlers do it on TV. Now it was her thing. She wondered if anyone could read her shirt, the black one with big white letters that said "GOD IS DEAD".
"Yeah, little bit," she replied to Allie. She looked up at the baseball game on the TV over the bar. "It'll be great as long as I don't have to have a job. I just want to fight."

"Well, I mean, wrestling's a job, but, yeah..." Allie said, trailing off a bit as she turned her head. "Hey, order two more. I wanna try that stuff." Allie then turned back to look over Syd. What a downer. Allie's sky blue T-shirt with an obnoxiously happy cartoon sun over one boob and the words "Brighten Your Day!" on them was a stark contrast to Syd's attire.
"I'll make sure you fight." Allie said. "I'll... just take care of everything." She chewed on her lip, hoping Syd didn't sense the burdensome tone with which she spoke the words. Allie didn't want to be Syd's caretaker, that's for sure, but what could she do otherwise? The thought of much more responsibility than she could handle... or wanted. Was Syd a child?
Allie peered at her white haired compatriot and wondered. "I got to go out of the country a few times. My mom would get me tickets anywhere if I wanted them. Though... it would have been more fun to take a proper vacation."
Allie took a sip from her juice. She could do this. Barely even a twitch in her nose now. "So... what's so great about fighting?" Allie asked suddenly. "I mean, the thought of messing up an outfit or breaking a nail?" Allie shook her head. "Nooo thank you!" She chirped. Allie then nudged Syd's arm.
"The bartender." She said. "Order some sake."

Re: Red, White and New
"Oi." Syd nodded to the bartender and held up two fingers. He looked warily at Syd, and then at Allie, but poured the drinks all the same.
"Hm." She looked at Allie out of the corner of her eye. "I could kick your ass right now. I could hit you in the mouth, smash your face on the bar, kick you down, stomp on you, gouge your eyes and fishhook you and do all kinds of stuff to make you scream and cry, and you couldn't do a damn thing about it." She looked at her sake mug and smiled. "And that's pretty cool."
She threw back the sake, and shook her head as she smacked the mug back on the bar. "I like doing what people say not to. You might like it too. If you're at ringside, maybe I'll let you have a little fun." She sneered at Allie. "Whatya think?"

Re: Red, White and New
Allie coyly turned her head and tugged at the collar of her shirt as the bartender looked at her. She liked to think that was enough to get her the drink even if apathy had been the real culprit.
Allie's mouth opened and her cheeks reddened when Syd said whats he did about her. "Ah... ahhh..." She stalled. "I.. I could call the police! Or I could leave you stranded here in Tokyo!" the red head suddenly hugged her chest and leaned away from Syd. "Th-there are other ways of hurting people aside from violence! You shouldn't forget that much, at least." She said, sighing deeply. Syd was quite nerve racking when she spoke, it seemed. It was probably best to keep her as silent as possible. She wasn't sure if Syd might actually DO those things to her if the mood hit her and Allie didn't like having to live in fear of her own partner. She needed to make sure that Syd knew that Allie was the one holding the leash.
"W-Well.." Allie said, turning her head a bit. "I... Who LIKES to be told what to do?" She stammered. "In that regard, we're alike." Allie nodded. "But... at ringside? Well... for now, let's just see how it goes. I really couldn't see myself smashing a chair over a girl's head." Allie then smiled mischievously. "Unless, of course, it was to help you in a match. When it comes to succeeding, we're in this together."
Allie then took the sake glass and helped it up. She realized Syd was already finished. "H-Hey!" She exclaimed. "We should have toasted! We need to since it's our first night in Japan. The first night of our new lives! C'mon! Order another one!" She said, sliding the sake cup in front of Syd so the bartender didn't get suspicious.
"What should we toast to!?" Allie pushed her finger against her lips. "Our goals... it's so cliche. Our new life is just too broad." Allie then lifted up her finger and smiled brightly. "To destruction." She said. "We both have a lot of that to do, even if it's different kinds and I think that you'll definitely drink to that, eh?" Allie winked at Syd. "Even if you might drink to anything!"
Allie giggled, greedily snatched the sake cup and threw back her sake. Her eyes widened and she coughed and sputtered. "Euuuugh! Y-You DRINK this!? I'm pretty sure you're supposed to clean toilets with it! Yuck!" The red head then pressed the fingers of one hand against her head and pressed her other hand against Syd's shoulder. "O-oh... that goes right to your head..." Allie started blinking rapidly as she felt her head swimming now that her throat was no longer on fire.

Re: Red, White and New
Syd just shrugged. Allie was a girl she would've liked to beat up, but she was stuck with her, at least for now. Depending on how the next couple weeks went, she might keep her around. She might just drown her in a tub or something, who knows.
"You might like it," she said, and looked back at the TV while the redhead babbled on, and on, and on... Eventually she answered her own question about toasting, and then the sake did the rest.
"The world's a big joke, and drinking makes it funny," she said, as if she'd said it before. Her own head was fuzzy and a little unsteady, though she was used to being drunk. She could handle her booze pretty well. She actually prided herself on it, or derided others for for having a lesser capacity for alcohol.
"What are we waiting for?" She asked, referring to AFW.

Re: Red, White and New
Allie's tongue was sticking out as she wrinkled her brow. She grabbed the sour juice and downed the rest of it, the sour suddenly having quite a tasty flavor when compared to the sake. She then looked at Syd and shook her head. "Well... you might be right, but I don't find it to be a very funny joke. I don't think any amount of that sake will help, either. Actually, I find it rather cruel." She huffed and crossed her arms.
Allie listened to Syd's question and frowned. "We're not even here for a night and you're already gonna complain?" She said, wagging her finger at Syd and chastising the white haired girl. "I understand you're impatient but, like you said, you don't have to work. I, on the other hand, do." She said. "Before you can show up and beat on someone, I have to fill out a lot of paper work."
Allie smirked. "And, I've already done most of the heavy lifting in that department. you won't be too angry if I force you to sign a few papers will you?" Allie teased. "Or will that upset your delicate sensibilities." Allie licked her lips, feeling her heart beat a little faster.
Allie closed her eyes as she continued. "Anyway, there's slim pickins right now considering everyone is gearing up for the P.P.V. Unfortunately we picked a bad time to pack up our suitcases and start a new life. Still, I do have some ideas if you don't mind taking another plane ride." Allie grinned. "However, in the meantime I think I can find some meat for you to chew on."
Seeing Syd's rosy cheeks, and the way she seemed to drink the sake like it was water, made Allie think once more about the sake. Suddenly Allie was stubborn, if not determined, to not let the sake get the best of her and she nudged Syd again. "G-Get me... get me one more." She asked Syd sheepishly. Allie then looked at the bartender. "Oh. Ahhh. JUICE PLEASE!" She said, as though shouting it would somehow make him understand English. She'd need another one of those to wash the sake down with.

Re: Red, White and New
Syd nodded to the bartender and held up a finger. He couldn't muster the conviction for another judgmental, xenophobic glare, and only responded with another pour of sake. Syd slid it over to Allie.
"Never had to do paperwork in Chicago. If you can get me into the arena, I can find something fun. I'll let you stomp on someone's head. Once you see how full of themselves these prissy girls are, you'll understand. You'll love it." Syd smiled again. Her voice, when she was calm, and the terse, dispassionate way she spoke, was oddly calming. At twenty-two, she was scarcely removed from high school, and her youth served as an ever-present disclaimer to her hard and manic blackness.
"If you want to be my manager, you'll have to like getting dirty."

Re: Red, White and New
Allie furrowed her brow at Syd's words. She grabbed the sake glass and as Syd spoke, her hand gripped it tighter. She blushed and when Syd was finished, Allie tossed the sake back and chocked it down. She coughed and sputtered again, but this time, she tried to keep the theatrics to a minimum and make her face as rigid as she could. She was trying to fight the sake rather than let it slide down her throat. She was trying to prove something to Syd even though she probably just looked impetuous.
Allie grabbed Syd's wrist. "L-Listen. I know you think that I'm just some snotty rich girl but... I came her with the intention of getting dirty too. D-don't think I can't. If you need me to show you what I can do then I'll do it. T-That doesn't mean that... I want to do the things you do though. I didn't just come here to babysit you either. I have reasons for being here and it just happens that what YOU wanna do helps me with what I wanna do."
Allie's hand slipped off of Syd's wrist and she sighed. She could smell the alcohol on her own breath. Her head swam too. Maybe that's why she was feeling so daring with Syd. "I'm not just some innocent girl. I know what you want and what you're capable of. Just... don't think I'm not capable of things either, got it? I just don't think the world's as dark as you do. That's it."

Re: Red, White and New
Syd snorted again, and didn't make a big deal about Allie grabbing her. "Never said it was," she raised her eyebrows.
"And right, your sister," she breathed a laugh. "You do whatever it is you want to do, I don't give a shit. Whoever she is, she's just another face in the crowd. Nobody special."
She stood up off her bar stool and stretched, loosely rolling her neck from one side to the other and reaching her arms out to the sides she took a few slinky, drunken steps and completed a circle that ended at Allie.
"Nobody special," she said, leaning down so that her face was uncomfortably close to the redhead. "I wanna go see a movie, I want to see what it's like in Tokyo." She tweaked Allie's butt and then began to dreamily sway toward the door, moving like a marionette underwater while her long, white ponytail swished along behind her.
