Riana "Hel" Helstrom
Riana "Hel" Helstrom
Name: Riana "Hel" Helstrom
Gender: Female
Age: 25
Eyes: Bright Red
Hair: Red
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 161 lbs
Nationality: American
Wrestling Style: Hel prefers grappling and submissions. She prefers fighting with few, powerful strikes, largely to ensure blows still seem effective on the screen.
Finishing Moves (All named after her movies):
Last Kiss of the Scorpion - Hel will lift her opponent up so that her foe sits on her shoulders, and then slam the opponent into the mat in a powerbomb. She will lift her foe up once more for a second powerbomb. The third time, she will cock her knees and then flip backwards in a twisted version of the suplex, slamming her foe's head into the mat, Hel herself rolling with the backflip to land atop her opponent, pinning them.
Heart of Crimson - Hel will stand over prone, face down opponent. Lifting their head between her thighs for a standing headscissors, she will grab their legs and wrench back, putting tremendous pressure on the spine.
Blood-soaked Love (Hentai) - With her opponent prone, face up, Hel will straddle them, facing her foe's sex. She will simultaneously apply a figure-four scissors to her opponent's head (Giving them an eye-full of her lovely ass), and "go to work" on her opponent's nether-regions with her hands and mouth.

Personality: Hel carries herself in a larger than life manner. She's a seasoned B-action film star and a great deal of her appeal is the violent mystery surrounding her. Whether she actually is the sort of brutal psychopath tabloids make her out to be is anyone's guess. She tries to conduct herself as a "warrior princess" valuing the honor of fighting, and as such, treats her foes with a decent amount of respect in the ring. Outside the ring, in locker rooms and amongst more private venues, when she isn't hamming it up for the press and fans, she can come across as a decent and pleasant person to be around... if not a little too focused on violence...
Physical Appearance: Hel is a tall, imposing looking woman. She always seems to carry an air of disdain about her, even when she is being friendly. She manages to always come off as imposing just by her attitude alone. The mixture of sexy and scary she carries is a big part of her appeal, and a big part of why she is often the subject of unusual fantasies amongst young men.
Attire: Hel tends to wear as a ring costume a torn extravagant regal gown, reminiscent of the costume she wore in her role as the heroine of "The Queen's Thousand Deaths." Firey red to match her hair, it manages to be "the most she can wear that still exposes a great deal of her assets" to quote one reviewer. Outside of the ring, she prefers slightly more fashionable wear. In hentai matches, she tends to wear naught but a black bra and panties.
Past/History: Riana "Hel" Helstrom is one of the most colorful names in the world of B-movies. She is a prolific action star, insisting not only on doing her own stunts, but that every fight scene she participates in is real, often screaming at stuntmen (Or the actors playing the heroes if she is the villain) if she feels that they are pulling their punches against her. She clashes often with directors over artistic vision, and as such has gained a bit of a reputation in the industry, but nobody can argue with her success. Her brutal fight scenes and superb acting make most of her movies cult hits (With a few notable exceptions where either her ego or the director's ego ran a bit too amok.) amongst fans of violent femme fatales.
After two commercial flops in a row (Crimson Panther 4 and Last Kiss of the Scorpion.), though, Hel decided that she needed to take a break from the world of cinema, and tried to ply her combat skills in the realm of the AFW. After a brief stint, she vanished from the AFW, working on one more film, 'Three Hours Too Late,' a pulpy half-comedy, half-action movie that garnered much better reviews and revenue than her last two flops. After its release, Hel has made a quiet return to the AFW scene, partly for more ideas, partly for the thrill of the fight.
Fun Facts:
- One of the biggest urban legends surrounding Hel is the suggestion that she actually pushed hard with the director of Crimson Panther 2: Skies of Blood to allow her to really kill the stuntwoman playing the villain's chief henchwoman (Without her knowledge or consent). The director hinted as such in one interview, but has said nothing since. Hel refuses to comment on the matter. The stuntwoman's only comment on the matter was "I'm twice her size and a former Ms. Olympia and that woman STILL scares the shit out of me."
- Hel is somewhat worried that her "brand" has outlasted its shelf life. She spent a bit too much money indulging in acts of wild hedonism and is also in the AFW for the paycheck. The failure of her last two movies hit her pretty hard, but she doesn't show it, rarely letting down her persona.
- Very few claim to be among Hel's lovers as many of the ones she has left behind are afraid that she might come back should they start telling stories.
- Outside of action scenes, Hel demonstrated a decent range of acting skills across her movies, she tried to avoid playing different characters the same way while still trying to keep the hammy charm of B-movie acting. For all its faults, many reluctantly admit that Hel's parody of some of her earlier tough gal roles was the highlight of Last Kiss of the Scorpion.
- That said, she refers to all of her previous roles in the first person, which might suggest a certain degree of disconnect between what's real and what's not. Then again, it is tough to argue against her myriad of scars and broken ribs.
- Hel's given name is actually Helena, and that's where her nickname came from. Her agent thought Helena Helstrom had too much "Hel" in the name to work for star power.

Re: Riana "Hel" Helstrom
From the QNN movie review blog:
"The Kung Fu Queen is back!
I'll get right to the point. "Three Hours Too Late" is the latest work from the B-movie queen Riana Helstrom. After the mess that was CP4 and the interesting but scatterbrained Last Kiss of the Scorpion, lots of people were worried about this one. After the actress's ill-advised stint in the AFW, had the unstable Helstrom finally lost it? Are we condemned to watch the badass from The Queen's Thousand Deaths whittle her career away until she ends up in the reality show gutter?
Absolutely not. Three Hours is fantastic. A love letter to the fans. Helstrom's opus borrows from the same sort of tongue-in-cheek pulp that Last Kiss struggled with, but everything just comes together well. Helstrom plays former martial arts instructor Kate Hyde. Her life has spiraled out of control and begins with a darkly hilarious scene of Kate awakening in her mobile home in a drunken stupor. Helstrom really gave this role her all, and Kate's twisted day has her crossing paths with the most ridiculous assortment of gang-bangers, murderers, sex fiends, and druggies. Very little of what you see makes sense until the end, but along the way, you are treated to a wild ride. Helstrom clearly poured her heart and soul into this one. Reportedly, she hand-picked most of the cast members, and her excellent taste shows. Helstrom's performance, alternately ferocious, pathetic, hilarious, and bizarre, is only outdone by the Polish hitwoman Lechsinska (Heaven help you if you call her Lexie), a pale, drugged up, nymphomaniac killer who glides around each scene as though she were not quite human. The fight scenes between Kate and Lechsinska are clearly the highlight of the movie, but every scene gets the 'Helstrom touch' that we have come to expect. Unfortunately, the movie's desire to carry us from goofball scene to extravagant fight and back again leaves the plot rather unfulfilling. You could make a stylistic argument about Three Hours' presentation in this regard, but stylishly unfulfilling is still unfulfilling.
Still, Three Hours Too Late is almost a love letter to Helstrom's fans, a vehicle for her specific brand of manic and especially brutal combat as well as her underrated acting chops. By the end, a somewhat awkward but fitting redemption awaits for our heroine, and, oddly enough, Helstrom herself. In case you forgot why you went to see Helstrom movies, Three Hours serves as an excellent reminder.
