Santa Tigresa vs. Kia Manaputo [debut match]!

Santa Tigresa couldn't help but grit her teeth, as she listened to Kia. The younger girl was right, of course, the luchadora hadn't been making the most amazing or impressive of debuts, here, tonight. Still, La Santa told herself, gritting her teeth, it wasn't too late to change that.

The Tigresa flexed her legs, repeatedly, hoping that she could squeeze some more air from her opponent (and, at the very least, slow down some of the smack talk). Still, La Santa knew she couldn't hope to maintain this hold, forever. Besides, how much fun could this be, for the audience? Watching some lithe young woman squirming between the thighs of a powerful, larger girl? No, La Santa decided, the AFW audience likely wouldn't get much into that, at all ...

While still trying to maintain the hold, Santa Tigresa began shifting her weight, trying to slide over her opponent until she could get into a position where her (admittedly, kind-of-sort-of sizable) bottom was perched on Kia's face. If the luchadora was able to manage that, then the plan was to wrap her arms around the younger competitor's waist, and try to lift the girl up into a piledriver position. The transition of holds wouldn't be easy, but Santa Tigresa felt she had to make the attempt, while she still had the chance.

Kia hated these sorta holds, there really was not an awful lot you could do to defend against them. This was even more true when the person applying the hold thighs that were bulky and pretty much pure muscle. When the older woman starting moving around Kia would make her sqiurm attempts and try to find a way upon which she could escape from the hold however it was completly and e tirely useless. The heavier woman had her right where she wanted her and all Kia could do was yelp as she was lifting up in the piledriver position. Kia would close her eyes, she knew what was coming next and it certainly was not pretty. The crowd had also managed to clock on to what the luchdora had got planned and had started to cheer her on. This move was critical. It was one of the more dangerous moves that could damage the neck. It was the sort of move the left you stunned for large periods of time. It could change the entire course of the match or even more so it could finish the match once and for all, which for Kia would be borderline embarrassing; getting this far in the !arch as the on top woman and the luchdora pulls one powermove and she buckles.

The anticipatory cheers of the audience filling her ears, Santa Tigresa began to take to her feet. Holding Kia's held tightly in her arms, the younger grappled held tight against the Tigresa's body. The latina grappler even let out a loud, angry cry in response to the audience, and gripped Kia tightly in her arms. Taking a moment, La Santa steadied herself on her feet, making sure that she was ready to attempt such a risky move. More than anything, she wanted to debut in AFW with a win. However, she didn't want a win badly enough to take any reckless risks, here.

With Kia seeming to be firmly in her grip, and her center of gravity focused, Santa Tigresa launched into the piledriver. The luchadora jumped into the air, not much more than a slight hop, turning slightly while wrapping her muscular thighs hard around Kia's head. The two of them came down hard on the canvas, eliciting a thunderous applause from the crowd, as both women bounced off of the mat.

With the impact, the Tigresa released her foe, letting Kia fall to the mat. Quickly, La Santa reached down to take Kia's hands, and press them over the younger grappler's chest. While Santa Tigresa wasn't looking for a squash match here, tonight, she also worried about hurting her opponent, if she kept pushing her too hard. “Stay down, chica ...” Tigresa said, as she pressed down hard on Kia's chest, in hopes of securing the pinfall.

Kia had never been piledriven before. It was a completely new experience to her. She wasn't expecting it to pleasant but what ended up happening was out right painful. She would let out a huge yelp of pain as her body collided with the mat, making it worse by the face she had Santa's weight beating down on her from above. She hit the mat so hard she actually bounced up and fell back onto the mat again.

The move was so powerful that it had really stunned her, she didn't feel what Santa was upto as the blow to the head and caused her to for a few moments lose herself in the pain, a completely stunned state. As Kia didn't react the referee would signal the start the of the pinfall countdown with the first count.

Santa Tigresa couldn't help but get a bit excited, as she heard the ref girl count "one." Her heart was pounding in her chest; if the Tigresa was actually able to pick up a pinfall victory here, tonight, it would mean a huge start for her AFW career, exactly the kind of thing her career needed, at this point. Her excitement building, La Santa leaned down harder against Kia's chest, awaiting the next count.

A twinge of regret flashed through the Tigresa's mind, however. Had she gone too hard on her opponent? She'd executed the piledriver perfectly, she'd thought, but had it been overkill? Winning was important to her, but certainly not so much so she wanted to seriously hurt anyone ...

"Two!" the ref girl called out, pounding the mat again.

Hearing the count of the ref suddenly snapped Kia back to reality, however it looked like it might of been too late already as the ref was already on the second count and Santa was pressing hard to secure her win. This was so embarrassing for Kia. She had spent the whole match dominating the lucha woman. Now at the last mind a meaty scissor hold and piledriver had suddenly ended Kia. She had been known for her endurance and her ability to keep going regardless. But now it seemed that she had been defeated.

"Three" the ref shouted the final count and suddenly the crowd roared in pleasure. Somehow from the brink of being battered and bruised the older woman had managed to use her strength to smash the smaller girl into the ground and defeat her. Kia was still in pain, but it was her pride that hurt more than anything. She had lost in someone's debut. Nearly everyone lost their debut.

It took Santa Tigresa a moment to fully register that she'd just hear the three count. When it did, however, she was immediately overwhelmed. Springing to her feet, the luchadora made the sign of the cross over her chest in elation, before the referee raised her hand in victory. As her theme song played over the AFW loudspeakers, and the took in the cheers of the crowd, she could hardly believe what was happening. After her career had gotten off to such a rough start in Mexico, perhaps coming to AFW was exactly the fresh start she had needed?

Briefly, Santa Tigresa completely lost herself in the moment. She rushed to the edge of the ring, perching herself on the ropes, waving and posing for the fans. Grateful for their appreciation, the Tigresa hadn't expected the match to play out like this. Honestly, she hadn't expected to pull off the win, with that move. In fact, she'd been expecting Kia to kick out at any moment, and the realization that she hadn't brought the Tigresa back to reality, rather suddenly.

Making her way back to her opponent, Santa Tigresa offered her hand to Kia, to help her up and offer a sporting handshake. “Are you okay, there, jovencita?” she asked, looking Kia over. “You really have me a rough time, there, didn't you?” Kia really had, too; with the adrenal rush of the cheers and her music starting to die down, the Tigresa was really starting to feel the ache in her face, from Kia's many blows. She hoped the girl wasn't going to be holding too much of a grudge.

Kia was in pain still, but as the bell rang she felt embarrassed. She hates this. This was just downright annoying and insolent. She got beat ar the last minute when the win should if been hers. Kia would get up on ger own, down right refusing the luchdoras hand "You got lucky. End of" Kia would glare at her clearly pissed off. "Next time you will be eating out of a tube in a hospital. So prepare yourself" Kia would walk away and leave the ring, giving the luchadora the finger as she did. Clearly Kia was goj g to gold a grudge, a real big grudge

Santa Tigresa recoiled in shock at Kia's fierce reaction. She huffed a bit, caught in a state of shock that someone could be so rude and bitter. The threats, in particular, managed to get under her skin. The Tigresa had just watched the younger woman give her all in the ring, putting the luchadora a tight, competitive match. She'd impressed the Tigresa, regardless of the match's outcome, and in one swift moment Kia had completely destroyed all of that good will.

La Santa's anger got the best of her, when she watched Kia duck out of the ring, flipping the luchadora off as she did so. Aggressively, La Santa mounted the ropes, raising her arms in an aggressive pose. "Any time you want to try my 'luck' again, chica, you just let me know. Santa Tigresa's here to stay, and I don't mind teaching you another lesson. Maybe I can beat some manners into you, huh?" Still perched on the ropes as watched Kia leave, the victorious latina tried to put the girl out of her mind. It was the end of her first AFW match, her first victory, and La Santa wanted to live it up. Raising her arms in victory to the audience once again before bouncing off the ropes and out of the ring, La Santa let the cheers of the audience and the beat of her theme music play her out, as she returned triumphantly to the locker room.
