Fixation (Cardia vs. Lukretia aftermath)

"Ms. von Creuzfeldt? You have a relative in town?" Cardia asked, still soaking in this luxury. "Is... is everything okay? I'm not going to be a bother, am I?"

After a second, she took Lukretia's hint. "Oh, okay, I'll pour you up something." She opened the box and glanced through the bottles, "Anything you prefer?"

Lukretia furrowed her brow at Cardia's question. "She's just my personal assistant." She said sharply. "Ve just happen to share ze same last name. She'll be meeting us at ze first home since she set up ze meetings." She looked at Cardia. "If you were a bother do you think you vould have made it into zis car?" She said with a sigh. "Why do you ask zis question just now?"

"Everything zere is enjoyable to me, pour vatever you like." She said and sat back in her seat. The drive was about20 minutes from the AFW complex. Lukretia was looking for something outside the hustle and bustle of the city but not completely outside of the town.

Cardia rummaged through the cabinet, looking at the wide array of fancy bottles Lukretia had in stock. Cardia herself did not drink, finding the taste of alcohol disgusting personally. Selecting a bottle at random, she quickly poured up a glass for Lukretia and offered it to her. "Well, you sounded angry when you were on the phone. If your plans had changed somehow and I would be a bother, I... I didn't want you to feel as though you were obligated to take me out or anything if things got inconvenient,"

Cardia chuckled, catching herself, "I... I know that's silly, but I keep... I'm still not used to your... you...ness..." she stammered, "You're just so different from my other... fr... friends." She was afraid to say the word, but decided if she was in for a penny, she may as well be in for a pound.

"You didn't do anything, meine frau." She said. Despite her tone she was sincere. Cardia had not done anything in particular to annoy her at the moment. "Ms. Von Creuzfeldt is merely an incompetent dumkopff." She stated. "Und I have to make sure to spell everything out for her or else she vill mess it up."

"My plans are vat zey are und vouldn't change just because you're tagging along. Lukretia took the glass and too a small sip. Even though Lukretia was already drinking a second glass of wine today, she was by no means an alcoholic. She simply enjoyed the taste and drank it like others would drink soda or juice. During the course of a day she rarely drank more than a glass or two's worth of wine and her tolerance for the stuff was quite high.

"Friends?" Lukretia queried. "Und vat kind of rif-raf do you normally hang out vith?" She questioned. She was slightly curious just to see what Cardia would say.

Cardia blushed, shocked that Lukretia would take an interest in her life. "Uh... well... my, my... my friends? I didn't have all that many... but there were a couple of girls back in high school martial arts club... we were a small school, you see, we didn't really have separate clubs for the various martial arts. But, uh... when we weren't beating the daylights out of each other, we became good friends." She was clearly nervous talking about this, "It... was even with one of them that I... uh... I..." She gulped nervously, "... explored... the sort of fighting that... led me to the AFW."

"So... d-do you have anything to drink that... uh... isn't alcoholic?" She asked meekly.

Lukretia ran her finger along the edge of her glass as Cardia attempted to get the words out. She casually dipped her finger into the wine glass and pulled it out and sucked on it sensually. "Is zis so?" She said feining interest. "Did you enjoy zat exploration so much zat you decided to join ze AFW or did you have some other reason?" That particular question she actually was interested in hearing the answer to but not because she was interested in Cardia, moreso her motives.

"There is sparkling vater in zere too, meine frau." She said casually. "Und tell me were you came up cit ze idea for your little costume und persona zat you vear out into ze ring."

By the time Lukretia was finished, the car had stopped in front of a rather large two story gated house. There was a women standing at the gates scrutinizing a hand held electronic device. As she heard the car pull up she smiled and adjusted her large glasses. She was dressed in a very nice pants suit and she had very light blonde hair that was done up in pig tails. She rushed up to the car and opened the door before the Chauffeur was able to get to it.

"Mistress!" She exclaimed "I hope you like this house I have picked out for you!" She had a very sweet and excited voice despite the fact that it was rather soft. When she saw Cardia she grinned widely. "Guten Tag!" She said waiving to Cardia. Where Lukretia seemed out of place speaking English for the blonde it seemed like she didn't do so well speaking German.

Lukretia stepped out, practically shoving the other woman out of the way. "You have poor taste in housing." She said with a glare to the other woman. Lukretia had to look up at her as she was a good several inches taller than Lukretia standing at about 5'10" "Zis is really ze best zis country has to offer?" She questioned. "I could barely park meine auto here."

While the two exchanged conversation the chauffeur proceeded to escort Cardia out of the car. "I am going to check it out." Lukretia said and began stepping towards the house. Instantly the blonde girl was on top of Cardia. "Ms Waters?" She said sticking out a hand. "I am so glad to meet you." She smiled genuinely. My name is Hilde... Hilde Von Creuzfeldt. I'm Mistress Von Creuzfeldt's personal assistance." She leaned in and whispered to Cardia, lifting up her hand. "I'm so glad that my sister is finally making friends here."

Before the last word even got out of Hilde's mouth Lukretia had turned around and a string of angry German flew out of her mouth. Hilde Shrank behind Cardia and began to speak in German as well. Her tone pleading and apologetic.

Cardia gulped, thinking carefully, "I... I think... yes, it was that... er... exploration I loved. Coupled with the allure of the ring..." She trailed off, not wanting to step on that land mine again.

"My costume? Well... it was really the first thing I could find in my wardrobe that was close to traditional fighting garb. I didn't want to use a high school fighting uniform... And all my other clothes were more traditional dresses and the like... My ring persona? Well, I love fighting, I love being here, I love... I love this place and I would much rather show off for the crowd than hear their jeers." She sipped some soda water thoughtfully, "I wear my hair out like this... because... I think it looks pretty. Someone thought I looked like a witch once when I was out sweeping with my hair like this... so I tried to play up a sort of... witchy angle, but I haven't thought that through at all." She stammered, desperately seeking some glimmer of not complete disdain from Lukretia.

Cardia was again awestruck by the size of the house and everything going on as she was led out of the car. She smiled and thanked the chauffeur and gave Hilde a pleasant curtsy, almost gasping at Hilde's mention of being Lukretia's sister. The flurry of screaming that came after made Cardia wilt, taking a few steps back, afraid to interject.

Lukretia stormed back towards the two. She reached out and grabbed Hilde by the ear and pulled her away from Cardia. Her blue eyes bore holes into the taller girl who was doing everything she could to keep from having her ear tugged on. "B-but sis!" She pleaded. The word illicited a loud slap from Lukretia and Hilde rubbed her cheek gently. "Ve are in a public place, act like a lady instead of ze worthless bumbling oaf zat you are." She demanded.

"Y-yes, Mistress." The sullen words were muttered from Hilde as she continued to rub her face. Lukretia walked back to Cardia and gave her a smile. "Come, meine frau. Let's see if zis place is fit for living."

As they approached Hilde she took a spot walking next to Cardia. "So Ms. Waters." She said in a cheerful yet quiet tone. "The mistress..." Lukretia gave Hilde a hard look as she spoke the word, waiting for her to make the same mistake as before. When she did not she continued to look forward. "...tells me that you will be living with her in the pool house. That sounds exciting!" It seemed as though her deflated demeanor had already passed.

Cardia remained silent, watching with a sort of awkward fear the relationship Lukretia had with her sister. She had somehow always envisioned Lukretia having a side that was sweet and gentle, but Lukretia never seemed to bring it out. Lukretia's smile and command seemed to snap her out of her daze, "Uh... yes, yes..." She nodded quickly.

Cardia smiled at Hilde for a few seconds, trying to disguise her fear that she might answer in a way that would enrage Lukretia again. Hilde seemed really sweet, and she didn't want Lukretia angry at the girl, "Yes, Ms. von Cruezfeldt, I... I am very excited... if... Ms. Lukretia will have me." She slipped back into honorifics. She did feel a little warm inside that Lukretia actually talked about her to her sister. She wondered what Lukretia might've said, but this was not the time to get to know Hilde.

"You can call me Hilde!" She said cheerfully. Lukretia gave Hilde a look but Hilde widened her eyes pleadingly. "I'm not her assistant!" She said. "Does it really matter if she is casual with me, mistress? You know I don't like to be as formal as you."

Lukretia stood at the door and sighed. "Vatever..." She said dismissively. "Just open ze door, dunderhead." Hilde squealed and rushed to the door. Lukretia stepped through and Hilde waited for Cardia to enter before following behind them.

Lukretia stood in the large open area foyer. There was a double staircase leading up to a balcony with a huge crystal chandelier hovering over them. "Ehhh." Lukretia said rubbing her temples. "It only has two stories?" She asked Hilde.

"No,m ma'am!" She said perking up. "There is a basement as well!"

"Basements are for storing junk." Lukretia said sternly. "How many bedrooms und how many bathrooms?"

"Five Bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. Of course the master bedroom and bathroom are quite amazing."

"If you picked it out I have my doubts..." She muttered. "Vat do you think of it so far, meine frau?" She asked Cardia.
