Before they head out Sky finds them both and tells them to wait for her. As they were heading there Sky mentioned she doesn't like roller skating because it feels awkward having the wheels on each corner as appose to roller blades, which she prefers. Excel mentions it's the same concept it's except the wheels are all in the middle, just like how a metal blade on an ice skate would be. Shortly after they arrive at the skating place they notice Veldaris and Carl are there as well, having got there themselves shortly before they did.

Xerxan will wait as sky get ready to join them still trying to understand the difference between roller blades to roller skates. He wont notice Carl and Veldaris there as he sees the other skaters moving around the skate park when he sees them he will wave to them as the kids bring him to the counter to figure out his skate size as his eyes wander to the trick skater section gulping at the stunts the skilled ones are pulling off in a roped off spot to keep the others safe incase of a fall. They grab the last rental that was his size. When he gets the pair on he will be extremely shaky gliding slowly into a wall using it to balance as he moves slowly even though others pass him several times before he goes around once.

He wasn't the only one like that as Sky did have trouble too. She could go at a very slow pace, but anything faster she wasn't good at. Carl saw this and even though he was kind of on a date with Veldaris he did try to help her a bit. Veldaris looks at how Xerxan is doing and goes closer to him and asks him what he thinks about it so far.

He looks up at Veldaris and says " I think grabbed the wrong type of skates " as she can see he is on roller blades instead of roller skates. He will try to move off the wall to go a little faster only to re angle himself back into the wall when he gets really shaky about to fall again.

Veldaris shakes her head "Those are regular skates, they don't go rollerblades here, though you're not doing too bad for a beginner from what I can see."

He will say " I think I am getting myself balanced so I may try to go faster " as his eyes go wide as a pair expert skaters are performing tricks while making sure they don't hurt each anyone by accident. He will notice the kids skating past him with Carl following to stop near Veldaris and Xerxan are talking and improving on his balance.

"Just ignore 'em." Veldaris told him, referring to the other people that were showing off. "Just do what you can."

He will start to skate actually faster and his movements becoming smoother while actually moving with the walls out of ranger saying " it is getting easier" as he is pretty fast learner when it comes to physical activities.

Excel watches this from a distance and smiles. Sky's managing but she'd rather be on a different kind of roller skate. Carl's trying to keep her mind on positive things so she can tolerate this. Veldaris keeps an eye on Xerxan as he goes around.

Xerxan moves around the skating ring seemingly without tiring even though he will be tiring out a lot slower than the other skaters. He doesn't realize he is once again attracting attention from the other skaters that were close to the same age as him.
