Wrestling Information
Strategy: Army focuses on overwhelming offense, throwing his all at the enemy and weathering whatever they give back. He uses his punches to stun enemies and weaken their defenses, then uses power moves to finish them.
Style: Boxing/Power Wrestling
Type: Heavy Striker
Preferred Attacks: Army typically sticks with boxing moves, but he's starting to diversify and mix in bigger and better wrestling moves as well. Typically, he goes for attacks that make good use of his upper body strength, like powerbombs and bearhugs.
Preferred Matches: Hardcore matches, Backstage Brawl, Hentai matches with a more violent style.
Physical Statistics
Endurance:★★★★ - Army hits like a tank and can take blows like one, but he is particularly weak to being countered.
Strength:★★★★★ - All of Army's wins so far have been by knockouts. There's a reason for this.
Speed:★★★ - Surprisingly fast for his size.
Defense:★★★★ - Can work well on the defense when he knows what he's up against. Combined with endurance, he's a hard man to put down.
Technique:★★ Relies on power more than technique, tends to falter agaist foes who have a wider range of skill and know how to employ it.
Wrestling Statistics
Strikes: ★★★★★ - Army's punches are devastating, as you would expect from a heavyweight boxer.
Submissions: ★★ - Can do a good bearhug. That's about it.
Powerhouse: ★★★★★- Thanks to his size and strength, he's capable of throwing around smaller opponents with ease.
Aerial: ★- He's a boxer and a big guy - not meant for high-flying, at all.
Counters: ★ - Getting him into a submission is tough, but once he's there, he doesn't know any good ways to get out.
Strengths
When it comes to raw power, few can even compete with Army. His blows are extremely damaging, and he's built like a tank - taking him head on is not advised. He can throw smaller enemies around the ring with ease.
Weaknesses
Unlike his sister, he's not well-versed with wrestling and not all that interested in learning beyond some power moves - against sufficiently skilled opponents, he tends to falter. He's not slow, but fast enemies can give him a hassle, too. He can be easily overwhelmed in the right situations. He's also quite cocky, and tends to underestimate his opponents until it's clear they're a threat.
Favored moves: Being a boxer by training, Army prefers striking moves, heavy powerblows, quick combinations - he tends to lead with his fists and batter the opponent around. When it comes to grappling, he tends to focus on power moves, using his great strength and size to throw opponents around the ring. Put them in a corner, then use his fists to make sure they stay there. Because of his natural strength, he can do grappling fairly well as long as he can overpower an opponent, but most skilled wrestlers will beat him in this area.
He's also grown fond of using knife-edge chops, recently.
Signature Move:
The Shield Breaker: An overhand right - whereas most punches are delivered straight on (crosses, jabs) or at the sides (hooks), this one comes up and over, going down right on top of the opponent - kind of like a reverse uppercut.
- Spoiler:
It might not look like much, but you have to consider Army's size - his punch is already powerful, and the Shield Breaker adds more power by relying on his weight - he's basically dropping his body weight right onto his opponent's head. Since he's so taller, it tends to go right over any guard - blocking it requires most people to raise their guard high, which leaves them extremely vulnerable even if they pull it off. Since he's so much heavier than most of his opponents (ie, women) it tends to knock them flat on their ass.
That being said, using it exposes him quite a bit, so he uses it sparingly; typically when he had an opponent stunned or in solid defense.
Hurricane Armando: A discus lariat. Army gets a running start, spins around to build up momentum, and clobbers the opponent with a wild lariat.
- Spoiler:
Finishing Moves
Chokebomb - Armando grabs an opponent by the neck, lifts them up by two hands (or one, if they're light enough) and slams them down while he drops to a sitting position, smashing their back into the mat right into a convenient pinfall.
The Smash- Army's deadliest punch. The Smash is a mixture between a hook and an uppercut, and what makes it so effective is that it's very powerful and very difficult to see coming. It drops low, coming in under the guard, and crack the opponent squarely in the jaw. It's not the easiest punch to set up, especially in a wrestling match, but if Army can connect with it, it will instantly drop most enemies.

Appearance:
- Spoiler:
Personality: Brash, headstrong, bullish, impetuous - all words that describe Army to a T, though he'd never use any of them. He comes from a long line of fighters, and feels he has something to live up to - in the ring, he goes 100%, bring both his own raw power and lifetimes worth of experience, techniques and training passed down from his father, and his father’s father, and his father before him. He fights like a man who doesn’t believe he can lose - on one hand, you have to admire his confidence; on the other, he can be very cocky.
While he’s a generally good guy at heart, he tends to lead with his fists instead of his head, and can let his mouth get him into situations that he has a hard time getting out of. He’s also a bit of a womanizer and chauvenizzer, which is a bit inconvenient given the faction he’s currently interested in. Part of the reason his sister dared him to join - besides the laughs - was on the expectation that it might humble him a bit. We’ll see how that turns out.
A small note - he is very defensive of people he calls friends. Hurting people that Army likes is a good way to ensure he'll set his sights on you.
History: Nothing too fancy - as said, Army is the latest, modern incarnation of the Ramirez line, a proud lineage of boxing men that goes back several generations. He didn’t always embrace this - as a kid, he ran even wilder than he does today, got involved with a small-time gang and did some mischief as a pickpocket. Nothing too serious, but his father put a stop to it before he got out of hand and started him training, putting his youthful energy to better use.
His father held nothing back in his training, and it shows - he’s got the body of someone with a lifetime of discipline and training behind him, and he’s not afraid to show it off, very proud of both his physique and technique.
His boxing career’s been going off to a good start, running small matches in Puerto Rico while he works himself up, and he ended the season with a 5-2-1 record. But now it’s the off-season and he’s looking for ways to fill his free time. His older sister, Carmen - an accomplished Olympic boxer and proud Full-Time Pain In His Ass - dared him to join Tension to fill out the time, betting that going toe-to-toe with the opposite sex would be more than he could handle. Interested for more reasons than one and eager to prove her wrong, he signed up.
Attire: He owns boxing attire, so that’s typically what he wears, sans the gloves - he comes to the rings in his boxing shorts and shoes, and always with a barred top.
Fun Facts
-Despite the impression he gives off, Army's not quite as dumb as people give him credit for. He's a straight B student and is surprisingly good at math, of all things.
-Took medical training in order to serve as his sister's cutman, and he's quite good at it.
- Is something of a closet geek. He's big into Yu-Gi-Oh, Gundam, and even roleplays on the weekends.
Championships/Accomplishments:
Friends:
Ro Larren: One of the first friends Army met in Japan. Ro and Army hit it off quite well, having similar tastes and fighting and humor. The two have a friends-with-benefits situation going on, and frequently challenge each other to fights.
Amy Poford: A girl Army met a baseball game. The two had a fight over a homerun ball, but the battle was called off when they discovered their mutual attraction. The two developed a fun and friendly relationship, constantly ribbing each other and taunting. The two of them became official soon enough, but Amy returned to the States and put a hiatus on their relationship. She'd recently returned, however, and only time will tell how this all plays out...
Allies:
John Mitchel: The Tension World Champion. Army knows John through Ro, and while the two don't hang out often, Army trusts John pretty well and the two get along.
Rivals:
Clyde Gastin: Clyde and Carmen get along well, but Army doesn't get along with the guy for a few reasons, mainly having to do with some jealousy over Clyde's success and not gelling too well with the win he got over his sister.
Enemies:
Jackie Saint-Micheal: A crazy bitch Army met in a bar. Jackie was looking for someone to beat up, and Army wound up suffering her wrath. He challenged her to a fight, lost the match, and now he has to pay for her drinks for a year.
