Sora Takenada vs Wild Card

The Wild Card's knee struck with an unsatisfying, unexpectedly hard slam. She hissed in annoyance. Sora still had some left in the tank and was fighting back. Before she could properly react, Sora's counter-blow struck true. The idea of Sora actually fighting back was not something the Wild Card had even considered. The blow collided with her firm midsection, eliciting a growl of pain. She staggered back a step, but recovered quickly. She stepped in, and if Sora did not recover quickly, the Wild Card would pivot, launching a side kick right at Sora's head.

Sora blinked in surprise as her blow actually connected, and seemed to have an effect on the other woman! A shaky, but confidant smirk spread across her face, and with Wild Card momentarily off of her, she took the opportunity to try picking herself up. She steadied herself on her left leg first, while still resting on her right knee. Her leg strength was still a bit wobbly, but she could feel her stability slowly returning. Sora quickly tried rising up to both feet then, but before she even saw it coming, she was suddenly clocked in the head with a strong sidekick from Wild Card.

Sora did a half flip, her body going limp before she even struck the mat. She collapsed onto her stomach and cheek, and her eyes remained opened but dazed. She was barely moving.

The kick connected with gruesomely satisfying force. The Wild Card could not help but smile. That felt great. She approached her fallen foe and smirked. "Wow... this is kinda sad..." She muttered, shaking her head. "Is this really what they think I can handle? I mean, seriously?" She kicked Sora in the side. "I'll show them."

She stepped back and climbed up to the top of the corner post. Leaping off in a graceful arc, she aimed to land across Sora in a splash.

Sora was completely out of it up until she felt Wild Card cruelly kick her in the side. The pain brought her back to reality, and made her desperately wish she were unconscious. Despite it being so early in the match, she felt she had taken a nasty tumble down some stairs. The green haired rookie groaned in pain, and clutched at her head and ribs while Wild Card perched herself up on the top turnbuckle. Sora never even knew she was up there.

Then as Wild Card came soaring down for a splash, the rookie finally had a streak of luck. Sora rolled over onto her other side just as Kira came landing, moving herself completely out of harms away and giving the blonde woman nothing to land on. Sora wasn't even aware that she had done this, as she was simply rolling over to rub at the other side of her bruised ribs.

For most of the flight, Kira was looking forward to her landing. Except for that brief instant right before she hit where it was clear she was not going to nail Sora. Kira tried to tuck and mitigate the damage but it came too late. She hit the mat hard and poorly. "G'ow! Dammit!" Kira yelped as she rolled over, squirming in pain. She tried to force herself back to her feet but for the moment she was stunned by that painful landing.
